Please welcome the Star Kit for today, Salem. He is 2 and a half months old from Pensacola, Florida.
I came across Salem at a animal shelter, I had been considering a kitten and had been sorta looking. A man arrived at the shelter with a box of kittens from a farm. Ready to go inside, one jumped out of a hole in the side of the box and I went to help the man catch the little orange tabby, once we got that all done and the kitten was back in the box with its sibblings we all start heading for the doors of the shelter when two college girls came running up crying and begging the man to let them have the box of kittens, they were concerned they would all be euthanized, which is what this shelter did. After all the conversing with the man and he was assured by these girls that they would find good homes for them, he gave them all six kittens. I had only seen just one of the kittens, and I was looking for a fluffy black one, as I was walking away, I thought well maybe, so I asked is there a black fluffy one in there? of course there was.. LOL.
So that’s how Salem came to join our family. Had it not been for the escaped kitten, the college girls and all of us arriving at just the right time, at that moment in time.. we would not have found Salem and brought him home.

Beautiful boy.
Wonderful save! Black cats rock! My pure black short hair cat named Orfeyo was the sweetest cat that ever lived I think. She gave me 14 wonderful years.
Salem is so lucky you were looking for a fluffy black kitten! He is incredibly handsome!
