I’d like to introduce you to our Star Kit of the day, Figaro. He is a 3 week old Tabby from Oroville, California.
This little guy came to me as an only child, someone was trying to give him away free on a Facebook yard sale site. The mom had been hit by a car and he was a litter of 2 and another animal/bird/who knows had already got his brother. The lady had no idea what to do and just wanted him gone. Having done foster kittens for a local rescue several years ago and seeing as I was the only person with the capacity to take on this baby, as my husband shook his head at me, I went and met the lady at Walmart at about 9pm at night and got him. After getting him I realized that he was much younger than I had first thought, as he still had his umbilical stump, we had a rough first night of learning the bottle, but we finally got it in the wee hours of the morning and quickly bonded.
I am definitely his mommy and he is my baby. Figaro is a sweet lil boy with a big personality, even for one so tiny, he is already very playful and silly. I can’t wait to see him romping around the house with toys. His name Figaro (Pinocchio) is keeping with our other furbabies and a Disney cat theme, He has 2 older Brothers, Simba (Lion King), a very large orange tabby and Oliver (Oliver and Company) our 1 year old Orange Tabby Scottish Fold. I must say Oliver has grown very fond of Figaro and will not venture far from him, he snuggles and licks him, and occasionally needs reminding and doesn’t understand that the baby is too little to play yet… I can see them chasing each other around the house in the future. We think that we have a great home worked out for Figaro when he is old enough to go to a forever home, but man will it be hard letting him go.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
POUNCE~
Almost got it. What a cute baby!
Aww, Figaro is adorable! Love how he fits with your Disney home. Thank you for saving him!
Aaah, poof! Cuteness Overload Airbag deployed in the nick of time.
First, let me thank you for stepping up and giving wee Figaro a chance at life. He is too precious and you’re his guardian angel! It seems Mr. Oliver is his guardian guy kit 🙂 . I admire you being able to help him along until he goes to his furever home. Please log on to TDK Chat and let us know how he’s getting along.
maybe he already has his forever home ??????
Me thinks Oliver would be devastated without Figaro, not to mention his human momma. Bless you for coming to his rescue.
what a lucky little precious thing…thank you for taking over; rip mama & bro. looks like a keeper to me too!
Figaro is a precious baby. I’m so glad that you are taking good care of him. I’m also glad that his big brother Oliver is watching over him and teaching him cat things. 🙂
Bets are in that he has already found his forever home. Sounds like his bothers are already too attached to him to let him go.
Figaro’s story sounds like it could be an opera! 😉 So glad that you rescued him. From a yard sale??? No impossibly cute kitties at any that I’ve ever been to, hmmm. Don’t know how you’ll be able to give him up either! But for sure he’s getting a good start towards a happy kitty life – thanks to you!
