Pounce!
I once had a cat named Taz!
Your Taz/Tazzie is totally adorable! He looks so soft. Looks like you are doing a fine job at making him happy as he has warmed up to you already.
Wishing you lots of happiness together!
Squee! Shweet Creamsicle Taz our Aussie Star-kit today at TDK!
Taz is an adorable orangie! He looks very happy in his home. 🙂
Love dem Orangies cause they are the most affectionate guys! Wee Taz is so precious and I just want to take him and cuddlez him. Giving your wee lad a loving home is the first step to a wonderful relationship. He should get a high protein kitten chow for the first year and have lots of water. At this point, it doesn’t matter if the food is canned or dry. Since he’s using the litter box that’s one issue you don’t need to worry about now. Please don’t give him catnip until he’s at least 6 months old. He can and should be neutered by 4 months. May you have many loving, playful times ahead together.
TDKers have learned, through our furry/fuzzy friends, the ups, downs and all arounds of cat care. We will be glad to help you. However, it’s very important to establish a good relationship with Taz’ veterinary clinic. When you have questions or want to give us an update on wee Taz just come to the TDK Chat or Cafe.
male kittens do not spray if neutered. bot get it done early. if he weights 2 pounds or more, he can be done. but beware, my 4 month old sprayed at 4 months, and he was found a new home…after he sprayed my entire apt. and me…
If you haven’t taken him to the vet, do so when you can. He needs a check up and tested for diseases. If he’s been outside he might have caught something. The vet will also be able to answer your questions. What Cheri said is true, you need to get him fixed soon. He’ll be much better off. Get him used to having his nails trimmed now because when he grows up he’ll become a squirmmer. Remember, while he may grow up and loose his kitten cuteness he’ll still be cute because he’s your buddy.
Good luck and have a great life together!
That looks like a cute sibling behind Taz, and his orangie dad? I’ll echo, time for his first
vet visit for a checkup and to develop a relationship. Most outdoor kitties have some sort
of worms, which the vet can easily take care of. but mostly he’s got the best thing already,
a human of his own who loves him.
What a delicious little creamsicle tabby from the Land Down Under!!! And a wonderful way to start the new year with a new kitty as Taz. So glad that he’s acclimatized to the pleasures of indoor living as in using the “convenience.” Great advice above, and as mentioned if you have any questions just ask! And do I spy me another grey tabby and an orangie kit in background?
I am smitten with your first kitten ^..^/ Taz is one gorgeous little boy. By playing with him, talking to him, and taking him to bed you are creating a strong bond between you. When he goes to the vet for his shots and all make sure his ears are looked at for ear mites. Being an outside kitten does bring on worms and ear mites both. Do remember that TDK has the separate section for the TDK chat and cafe where you can get tons of advice from other knowledgeable kitty owners. Many years of love and purrs with Taz. Orange kitties are among the most mellow and sweet so you’ll have a best friend for years to come.
Looks like you and Taz are off to a great start.
Congratulations on your first cat! He’s adorable!
