To start of the week we have Scrappy. In his own words, he is an “All American Mutt Cat” from Columbia, South Carolina.
We had just moved to South Carolina and were checking out the local PetSmart to see what they had. It just happened to be one of the local rescues sponsored weekends and Scrappy was up front in a large cage with several other kittens, including his soon-to-be brother Maximillian. I had been wracking my brain to try and snap my heartcat Snowball out of the severe depression he had fallen into when we had to put his “baby” Phred to sleep.
Since at that age Max was a carbon copy of Snow I decided we needed to adopt him to see if having another “baby” would work. Neither my husband nor I believe in having only one kitten, I told him to pick one to be a brother to Max and someone he could play with and burn all that kitten energy off. Scrappy trundled right up to the side of the cage when he went to look and that’s all it took.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Pounce!
Scrappy has such a regal look about him, such a handsome boy. So glad he chose to be part of your family – wishing you much happiness together!
Saved all the extra scarps of luv for you Scrappy for you are our gorgeous SC Ginger the Star-kit today at TDK!
Scrappy is beautiful. I love orange tiger cats, mine is named OJ. The orange tiger ones enjoy live prey; lots of free and fun entertainment when a fly comes into the house!! On another note, my 365 cat calendar today has a beautiful black cat with white chest and white paws and his name is: Capt. Charlie Bear, Jr. How cute is that!
Scrappy is adorable. I think orange boys are incredibly sensitive to those they love.
My first kitty, when I was 18 months old, looked just like him!

Handsome Scrappy! I love big orange cats. Big love bugs. 🙂
And is Snowball happy again? I hope so.
I hope Snowball gets along with his bros.
Scrappy and Max now have loving forever homes. Snowball has two new brothers to keep on his toes (hope that did the trick for the poor kitty), and you have more fur children to love. I love WIN, WIN, WIN situations like this. Many happy years with all your kids:)
OTs are the best! Thanks for adopting Scrappy and Max. I hope they have brought Sweet Snowball out of his bummer times. I would love an update on your new found family.
Scrappy is cute. I like the name as well. I am glad that your furkids have each other and adjusted well. All the best to your furkids!
Scrappy looks like a self-assured kitty with a hint of mischief in his eyes. He knows he’ll get away with it…he’s too cute not to!
