We have had an overwhelming feral cat problem in our neighborhood for years. Over the past 15 years, I’ve diligently trapped, neutered and found new homes for countless cats and kittens. None-the-less, every Fall and Spring like clockwork, new litters of kittens would appear, evidence that my efforts were having little effect. Oliver came from one of those litters about five years ago – one of a litter of four born to a feral cat hanging around our house. Sadly, one of Oliver’s littermates died, but the fourth one found his new family through our vet. Their calico mom took up residence on our front porch along with two other spayed females after we caught her and got her spayed and vaccinated. The cat population is slowly coming under control. Fortunately for Oliver and his brother Figaro, our son and his wife adopted them right before starting med school and a PhD program. As you can see in the photo, Oliver is one lucky and spoiled kitty, but he knows when he needs to burn the midnight oil to cram for exams.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Pounce! Where’s the turkey?
Cuteness Overload, Mr. Oliver! He is adorable and I’m sure his brother, Mr. Figaro is just as cute. I can’t resist an Orangie…and he’s fluffy. I see Mr. Oliver has trained his meow mom and purr papa very well.
Thanks so much for your hard work with the feral population. Alley Cat Allies (www.alleycat.org) can help with the burden and expense of reducing the feral populations.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all who rescue, love and provide forever homes to our kittens and cats!
Gotta luv a TX Orangie named Oliver our Star-kit today at TDK!
I love the orangies! I’m so glad you are helping all the ferals, and that Oliver s safe.

Oliver is adorable! Thank you for your efforts; it is tiring but worthwhile, as we know all it takes is one unspayed girl.
Oliver makes cramming for exams look fun!
I wish I could run my hand down Oliver’s side, he looks very soft. Thank you for rescuing the kitties. ^ ^
I wish there was a way to feed cats something that would make them sterile. Just think of how much less work that capture, then fix (spay/neuter), then release. I sure do appreciate that you work so hard to reduce feral cat problem. You are a saint! And that is one cute kitty, there. Thanks for sharing.
WHat a lover boy fuzz
Oliver is adorable. Blessings to you & yours for all of your efforts.
Smart kitty: Lots of studying = lots of books to stretch out on.
And as for you, wonderful work you’re doing! Heartfelt congratulations.
