Our rescue story about our tabby cat Molly, she was born around April 30th,2013 on our roof under a shady corner. Once we started to heard whining from in our home we found them. There were 3 tiny kittens, no momma. We kept an eye on them from a distance not to disturb anyone but to make sure they were safe; didn’t want anyone falling. We tried to see if momma would come back, she didn’t, so we took them the next morning as they were crying so much they were very hungry. The vet said they were about 2- 3 days old, based on their umbilical cord appearance. She had two siblings that didn’t make it through day 5.
Molly is a fighter, we are hopeful that she will keep thriving. She is getting a little bigger with everyday. We feed her Just born formula, we tried goats milk but she started having issues so we put her back on formula. Any helpful advise is always welcomed as this is my first time caring for a wee one.

Gentle Pounce. Such a wee one!
Aww, she is so cute. Thank you for caring for this “wee one.” Wish I had some tips for you but I’ve never taken care of a kitty that young. Molly will be a great addition to your home. Please let us see an updated picture when she gets a little bigger. ^ ^
awww, poor tiny sweet Molly! Thank you for trying to save her and her sibs, sorry they didn’t pull through. Fingers crossed this little baby tiger continues to grow and thrive. Big hugs to her 🙂

You probably know that you have to use a warm, wet washcloth to stimulate elimination… “playing Mommy” we call it. If you don’t, they could die. Mimic a mother cat cleaning a kitten’s behind… and they usually go rigid and eliminate right there. Do it after every bottle. Keeping them warm is another thing… kittens at that age don’t have good thermal control. Also pet them and rub them regularly, all over their body. It helps their organs to start functioning right and they are social creatures and need affectionate contact (and I think they like it). If Molly makes it to where she starts eliminating on her own, she’s probably going to be fine.
We’ve raised several “bottle babies”, and they’re some of the sweetest and most loving cats around… although the one we’re raising now also likes to “rassle” wildly with our fingers and hands (she was about two weeks old when I found her screaming all alone in our backyard, now she’s two months old and loves to sleep on our necks).
Awwwwwwwww! What a precious little furbaby! Thank you so much for rescuing her! Please keep us posted on her progress!
My furkids & I wish you & Molly the best of luck & many happy, healthy years! =^..^=
Molly is such an adorable wee kitten! Thank you for rescuing her. Love those classic tabby markings.
Molly is a darling little one. I’m sorry about her little siblings.
Bottle babies are challenging but worth it!
She will need to feed every two to three hours.
You have good advice from RDB and pussigato’s link. Best of luck to little Molly.
Wow you got so much good advice. It is almost exactly what I would have said. I’ve done it with a liter of 7. Very rewarding. My dog joined in and helped with the cleanings and massage and playtime. Best of luck to you!!! And many happy years with Molly as you will create a bond that can never be broken! Hugs and kisses to tiny Molly!!
Bless you & wee Molly. I am glad others have made good suggestions to you. I hope Molly continues to thrive. My cat pictured here on my profile pic was bottle fed by someone affliated with the shelter I adopted her from. She’s a super sweet kitty. All the best to you both.
Bless you for becoming “mama” to these babies. As far as advice is concerned, I’ve always gotten good advice here at the Cat and kitten chat – http://www.dailykitten.com/chat/forum/cats-and-kittens . These are many experienced feline mamas more than willing to try to help. Molly is so precious. Let us all send a prayer for Molly. Many happy years with your little trooper.
Bless you and good luck! Do let us know how little Molly does!
There will always be a special bond between you. Bottle-fed kitties have a special bond with their persons. It’s always there and makes for a wonderful relationship.
Bless you on the save! Looks like there are a lot of folks who are helping with knowledge! I’m pulling for you and Molly! 🙂
Oh she’s so precious. God bless you for saving her and trying to save her siblings. I wonder where poor mama went? Anyway, thank you so much for loving her and taking care of her.
Aw, she’s such a precious baby! Blessings for helping Molly and her sibs. I’m so sorry the others didn’t make it. Molly seems like a real fighter. Prayers being sent so she makes it through this critical time.
Bless you for rescuing Molly
