Location: San Diego, California, USA
Luna was found at a feral cat colony in downtown San Diego. My friend told me about her, and I picked her up the next day. She was blinded by conjunctivitus, and at eight weeks old she was completely emaciated, and would have certainly died. I took her in, and she started getting better. Being feral, she had no idea how to act in the house, and had many accidents before the large monster Oliver, who was on TDK previously, taught her the ways of the litterbox, and became her momma cat. She remains a very petite cat, and unfortunately may have development issues. She doesn’t understand cat body language or territory, and she has a breathing problem. But she is my special lover, and I enjoy having her follow me around the house, and looking up at me with her gorgeous eyes and chirping at me. Her meow is beautiful, when she can actually make a sound. I am going to find out what is wrong with her and make sure she lives a happy, long life.

Pounce
Wow that’s the first time I was ever the one to pounce.
Beautiful kitty and big beautiful expressive eyes! So glad you decided to take her in and help her through life with your love. Best of luck to you!
First time I was able to pounce. Beautiful kitty with beautiful eyes. Glad you too her in and are able to help her through life with your love of sweet kitties like her. Hugs and kisses to Luna.
Luna is a beautiful girl. I hope the vet is able to assist her & that there’s an easy resolution for her issues or that the issue does not effect her overall health. Much love, health, & happiness to this little one.
How beautiful she is! Black satin and topaz. So glad she has a home and someone to love her.
Luna’s largest problem disappeared when you gave her a big ol’ dose of love. The rest is icing on the cake. ♡
Luna is so pretty–black satin and topaz. So glad she has someone to love her now.
This is such an inspiring story. So glad you were there for Luna, and I hope that her health will continue to improve and that she may provide you much joy!
Bless you many times for all that you are doing for Luna! If everyone had a heart as big as yours animal homelessness wouldn’t exist:) Also that you welcomed a black kitten when so many shelters have difficulty placing black cats of any age. Sad, so sad. I have two black beautys of my own aged 10 and 1 that both came from shelters. May everyone offer prayers for Luna’s complete recovery and long life. It will surely be a happy one with you as her kitty mama. Give her some loves and treats for me. And give yourself a hug for having the great heart you do.
You are a very kind and caring soul to take in such a sweet and challenged kitten! I am sure with your loving care she will grow and thrive into the best kitten she can possibly be. Big hugs and treats to little Luna 🙂
Luna is beautiful and so are you. I wish a lot of human parents could be (or could have been) half as good to their kids as people like you are to their kittens. The important thing is, Luna knows she is loved, and that will be the basis for her ongoing recovery.
Luna is lovely! Best of luck to you as you deal with her special challenges. Your love is the best medicine! Wishing you many years of happiness together.
That’s a big name for a little kitty!! I’m betting she will do just fine with a caring person like you.
Prayers that she continues to improve and has no after-effects of her sad beginnings. If love could cure, all our babies would live forever.
Oh, she is petite. Her coat looks shiny and her eyes are bright. Luna is a lucky kitty to have you to take care of her. Wishing you many happy years with lovely Luna. ^ ^
Luna is a beauty. She’s a perfect black ladycat. 🙂

I hope her health can be restored she is a sweet kitty.
You are very sweet and generous to take Luna in and care for her health issues. I think she is perfect because I love petite, black, girl kitties.
Good luck with Miss Luna. She is very lucky that you found her and are giving her a chance of having a happy kitty life. God bless!
One of our kitties, Tigger, is a “special needs” kitty. When she was young she got hold of a blue-tailed skink, and the toxin in its tail destroyed her sense of balance.
We have to be careful with her because she thinks she’s OK, but she does trip and fall, and misjudges her jumps. That, and she’s clumsy and when making biscuits drives her claws in too deep (bad sense of balance). Our vet has done what he can for her, but there’s not much that can be done when a kitty gets in that predicament.
The thing is, even if a kitty DOES have problems, he or she still can be a loved member of the family (as I think you know). Even a disabled kitty can still have a full and loving (and loved) life, as it sounds like that is where Luna is heading.
May Luna have a long lifetime of purrs and head bonks with you, even if the vet can’t fix everything! She’s a real little beauty!
Luna is a beautiful kitty. Bless you for giving her a home.
How darling she is and blessed to have you!
BLESS YOU for rescuing Luna and willing to take such good care of her.
Luna sounds like she’s made huge progress from being a feral baby. Following you around is a really big deal! My daughter, Molly, adopted a feral cat who was shot in the face and blinded. He’s come around amazingly and loves her very much. He makes up for his sight with his other senses, and knows how to jump on her bed to sleep with her. Given a loving home, even the most challenged kitties can thrive.
Bella bella Luna! You have come a long way as surivior noir diva our Star-kit today at TDK! Wishes for a long ever-improving healthy life with your furever family!
Oh bless you so much. These little black babies are so very special.
Thank you for rescuing her and being the patient cat moparent she needs!
