Chloe came to me just two weeks ago, she is now four weeks old. I lost my 11 year old cat to breast cancer this past November and have been struggling to get past the grief and the void it left in my life when she died. Since Chloe has been here, I haven’t had much time for grief! She gets midnight feedings and constant attention. Although Chloe can never make up for the loss of my beloved Spookie, she has filled the house with bustle and I feel alive once again!

Its nice how mammals, whether they be two-legged or four, have a way of helping and healing each other. You gave a kitten a loving home and Chloe in turn is helping you to heal the loss of precious Spookie. I am so glad you are there for each other. May you have many loving years filled with snuggles, purrs, and smiles:)

Condolences on the loss of your beloved Spookie: it sounds like Chloe is already helping your heart heal a little. Kittens always prove while we never forget our cherished kitty friends, there is always room in our hearts for more 🙂

I am sorry about the loss of your beautiful Spookie. Getting another sweetie is a great decision. nobody will replace Spookie, but Chloe will, and is,helping ease your grief.
Chloe is just the cutest kitty. I feel like I have to type quietly so I don’t wake her up. I am sorry for your loss and though Chloe can never take the place of your beloved Spookie, she will make her own place in your heart. I think she already has.
