Rhino appeared on my parent’s back porch one night this past June, not long before they were about to move to Florida. He was very skinny and had wounds all over his body in different stages of healing. They felt sorry for him and decided to feed him (and boy, did he eat!) while one of us called animal control to come pick him up. However, due to staff shortages the animal control officer was not able to come do a pick up until late the next day. Not wanting to put this little kitty back outside to face the unknown, my parents let him in to stay for the night. It wasn’t long before my Mom took him to the vet for a full check-up. Thanks to Rhino’s personality winning them over, the animal control pick up was no longer necessary. He moved with my parents to Florida and did really well in the truck on t he way down. He is now slightly over a year old and is a thriving indoor cat with a lovable personality and a penchant for mischief. His favorite pastimes include watching geckos, dogs, and birds outside of “his” window, performing gravity defying feats on the furniture, and playing with anything he can get his paws on.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
