Pounce!
WooWoo!! I think you should be named Butterscotch!
Remember Popeye’s niece, Sweetpea? This baby’s name is Sweetpea!
OMG…How could you not name a sweetheart like this?? How about Cheeto!
My daughter has always wanted an orange kitten that she could name Cheeto…
Awwww, what a cutie. I have no ideas for names right now, as my brain has turned to mush. I’ll try to think of some and come back later (yay! an excuse to see this darling again).
My Butterscotch looked A LOT like this little guy(?)… and since he lived in the same city, I think it is a perfect name!!! What an adorable bundle of fuzz!!! Soooo cute – but then I am a sucker for the orange boys… Beignet (the fried doughnuts covered in powdered sugar at Cafe Du Monde) would be a cute, locally relevant name as well…
Oh so very sweet looking. This kitten looks like a little Angel to me.
Awww how totally cute! Creamsickle? Peach Fuzz? Big-Easy-Puffball?
Male or female?
He is a beautiful kitty and I cannot get over that face. How about naming him Azure or Turquoise with those beautiful eyes.
Rambo!
Awww, he/she’s adorable.
How about Sprinkle?
My parent’s orange guy is called Gus (from the Cats musical). If it’s a girl, I think Peach would be nice.
The kitty also looks like s/he needs a check up at the vet before their furever home.
Being from New Orleans, too, I’m partial to Beignet. It’s the perfect name for a New Orleans kitty. BTW, boy or girl?
C4K, didn’t realize you were from NOLA! Cool! Lovely day today, isn’t it?
Gorgeous! I hope it’s like this tomorrow, too. But you know how it is here: Could be the extreme opposite tomorrow.
This is obviously a very inquisitive kittie. Probably very good at solving mysteries. I would suggest Pierot. Hercule Pierot is Agatha Christie’s most famous detective.
Who me? FUZZ
Anonymous FUZZ
Names:
Curious Charlie?
Tangerine?
Oooh, Tangerine – cool name Arcalian!
I vote for Tangerine too! That way we don’t need to find out if it’s a boy or girl.
I think the photograph itself looks like a French impressionist painting. How about “Degas”?
I always wanted a kitty named Scipio. I vote for that… have a great Monday. >^..^<
How about “Opie” for the red hair?
(you know, Opie from Mayberry? Sheriff Andy Taylor’s son?)
:o)
That’s the name I first thought of when I saw the picture! He(?)’s definitely an Opie!!
Boy or girl?
Madame Butterfly or Captain Tinker.
isn’t captain tinker a little inappropriate?
what is the cat “tinkles” in inappropriate places because of the name? these creatures are smarter than you’d think
🙂
What a cute kitty…. 🙂
I agree with Opie. He looks like he is a little sweet heart, but he also looks like he isn’t stupid. He has that intelligent curious look about him, “what can I get into next.”
Kitty L’orange!!! That would work for a boy or girl kitty!
I’d name him/her Toby.
Name him/her either Louise, or Louie.I think those are great names because of her eyes and face!
Those bright eyes say “curiosity” to me…so, if s/he’s a boy I think George as in Curious George. Georgie/Georgette if it’s a girl?
when i saw this picture and her/his face cute face and that you were looking for a name i automaictally thought of curious george haha!
The orange hair also reminds me of a Louise, Lou, or Louie.
Maybe Grace…….
Cute no matter what the name… All good suggestions! 🙂
Cheese whiz.
I am in agreement with MaryLynnVa, this kitty is a Curious George or Georgie.
What a little sweetie pie!!
I just want to kiss those smudges off your precious little nose! What a QT….thud!!
steven pinker
He looks like a Ralph…at least that is what my mom’s cat Ralph looked like. Unless it is a female, then, Daisy!
I think Patches is a good name, I love the orange and white kittys.
How about Marmalade? Or if it’s a girl kitty, Lady Marmalade (fitting for New Orleans, right?)
Oh yeah, kittiemama, Pierrot (pee-yair-ro)is the French classic sad clown, from Commedia dell’Arte. Agatha Christie’s character is named Hercule Poirot (pwa-ro).
You have to name him Vincent. He is beautiful just like Vincent from Beauty and the Beast.
Frank Sinatra (Ol’ Blue Eyes)
China is a good name, for China blue eyes.
The kitty looks like he or she is patiently waiting, so cute. I like Katie for a girl or Marley for a boy.
what a sweet face- lyle/lyla
I thought of Oliver, but reading through all the submissions, I also like Cheeze Wiz.
Hello! Awww, what a cute kitty! I think you should name it Milo, because the kitty looks like the cat off of the video Milo and Otis. Good luck trying to find a name. Thank you for sharing this kitty with us!
What about Daphne? I just can’t get this kitten out of my head! It is just so adorable! Keep us posted on what you name it!
Such a cute kitten, the little baby needs a name, lets see, how about, Merlin for a boy,or Ruby for a girl, good luck with your new kitten.
My he’s handsome~I really love the name Louie~esp since you’re from NOlA~simply purrfect! Happy Purring!
Ginger
Cheerio for boy Ginger for girl
how about ‘punkin’ – boy or girl! although, ‘cutie-pie-sweetie-l’il-creamsicle’ works, too 🙂
I try to live with a kitten for awhile before naming her so I can find one that fits her personality.
That innocent face is usually a ruse–he/she is probably a little terror, so how about “Chaos”?
Charlie? Captain Blue Eyes? Diego? Peachfuzz? What a lil darling!
GRREEat kitten. I think he looks like a Snickerdoodle!
Name him or her “TWINKIE” like the white and orange cake.
This is a beautiful little kitty, boy or girl. There are many good name suggestions posted, but what ever you finally decide to name him/her, make sure the name is fitting for such a precious pet. Hope you have many wonderful years together!
What a sweetheart. A Kitten by any name will still be so sweet.
BeBop Kitty Cat
Or, BeepBop.
Such a cutie!
ooh i vote for butterscotch!!!!!!!
Such a cutie-pie. How about Fluffernutter?
How about ginger or paprika?
Her blue eyes are pretty. Sinatra, mickey, fox
So adorable, I want to squeeze this kitty. 🙂

I don’t know what you’re name should be, but your photo looks like a painting! You’re Perfect!
How about ‘Planet Mew Mew’?
One time the daily kitten had one named Waffle, and I loved that name so much. Plus this kitten is kinda lookng a little like a waffle.
Not to mention the famous Waffle House located only in the south!
He looks like a Rusty to me! What a cutie!
I’d call that little sweetie Skittles.
How about Tangy…short for tangerine?
Thibault. From Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. I don’t know why, but he looks like such a “classic” cat that he may need a classic name.
I like Cheeto. What a little dollface. I hope you come up with a name.
He looks like a ” Wandy ” to me.
As the person who took this photograph, I don’t think it is very polite for it to be used without asking my permission
Being you did take the photo, could you please tell us two things. 1. Is the kitten a boy or a girl.. and 2. Why would you be displeased ? The world has had an oppurtunity to admire your expertise. You should be very pleased !
Happily:
1. The little mog is a female
2. I am not displeased. I am merely pointing out that it is a matter of courtesy to either inform, ask permission, or provide a link (or reference) to the source
3. She is still without a name, but that does not seem to bother her one jot!
FYI – this is the source http://www.flickr.com/photos/clarkzip/3536242917/
From his expression he seems a very curious little fellow. I say
“Curious George” or “Georgie” for short.
I dislike the name Cheeto for a pet. I wouldn’t want to be named after food would you…?
I would name her Sundae because of her yummy vanilla fur topped with butterscotch and caramel with those pink ears, toes, and nose, and those sweet little blueberry eyes! She is scrumptious!
strawberry pink, I meant to say.
Fuzz
My kids are suggesting the name “Ginger.”
You should call it
FUDGE OR
POPPI OR
FRECKLE OR
TABBI
