LOL, FH – I was soooo close!
Baby Purrl – you are ready for Santa?
Merry Christmas to Willow and Windi from our Willow and his 6 brothers and sisters!
Aww – thank you, Tigerlilly! The Girls are very excited about their Christmas presents. We have told them that Santa is coming. Of course, they actually think that the Christmas tree is their gift!
Our Willow, and of course Windi, wish your Willow and siblings a very Merry Christmas!
And Merry Christmas to you, Purrl!
My girlfriend has a cat named Purrl too!
What a precious gem she is. Enjoy!!!
Oh my, purrrty! Her ears are as big as her entire body. 😛 *smooches*
All the better to be able to hear Santa on the roof top with his bag loaded with catnip mice!!!!
My girl has a lawnmower purr too. Fun!
wow, great rescue! such a pretty little tabby is little Purrl. Cute name, too, I wonder if she knits her own mittens?
A very kind thing to do for little Purrl. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the rescue of this sweet girl. May you have many happy years of servitude with Purring Purrl.
Thank you for taking in this sweet little Purrl. I’m sure she will keep you and your hubby warm while watching the Rose Parade. Enjoy!
May God richly bless you and your husband for your compassion. This is such a heartwarming story of love during the Holiday Season ! I wish all three of you the Merriest and most Blessed Christmas ever. Sounds like Purl has read my log in member I.D.
AMEN!!! It’s sad how the helpless of the world are somehow expendable; especially in the case of the young! Kitties, puppies and even children! MERRY CHRISTMAS TDKers!!!!
oohh ….my….. CUTE!!!
what a beautiful little baby so lucky to be rescued by a loving family!
Awww, Purrl! She’s so tiny in the picture and I can just see the love coming from her little eyes. What a sweetie!
I’m so glad you rescued little Purrl.
She looks like she will be your constant companion for life! Very sweet kitten, as well as rescue story!
I love cats that have a loud motor, too. Gali’s purr is very quiet, but Max on the other hand, sounds like a motorboat!
What an adorable little muffin of a kitten! Purrl is a great name.
Little bottle babies are wonderful, Bless you for rescuing her. 🙂
Thank you for finding this treasure. She’s absolutely beautiful!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
A sweet baby!! Happy Holidays to all. Lil
Oh, so tiny and cute! Purrl’s head looks too big for her little body! I’d love to pet that little bundle of stripes and hear her purr!
Purrl all in a curl! Many blessings will come your way for rescuing this little angel…all are worth saving.
Merry Christmas to one and all.
What a beauty Purrl is! Blessings to you for being such an Angel in saving her!
They just keep getting cuter and cuter! How do you do it KM?!
beautiful FUZZ
Hi MerD,
I am fine. Just do a lot of Lurking around the edges because of my work schedule. I leave home right around the time that the Kitten Master Posts the kitty of the day (7AM here) and get home late (around 9:30 PM Pacific time) SUndays Mondays and Tuesdays are the three days I drop in for a bit since those are my days off…:)
A Gurrl named Purrl all in a currl! She sure is Purrty! LOL
Well, I am glad you are still around, even if you are lurking. Hope you have a great Holiday! Purrs to you and yours. 😀
What a cute little baby! I hope you have many years of joyous servitude with Purrl!
Purrl is very lucky you came around when you did–and YOU are lucky to have such a little sweetheart–hope you both have a Happy, Healthy New Year!
Purrl is sooo cute and that is a great name. she is so tiny and cute and i love her big ears and sweet eyes and face 🙂 awwwwwww…….
They were going to put her down just for not being weaned?! And at only three weeks old, an age at which any kitten is still too young to be weaned? What kind of shelter is that? What’s their contact info?
Hey, Cloudchaser.
Sadly, euthanizing unweaned kittens and puppies is standard procedure at local (L.A. County) shelters. In fact, I just finished fostering eight unweaned (one-week old when we got them!) puppies who were going to be put down.
As for Purrl, though, she’s beautiful, fat, happy, and *alive*. I couldn’t love her more! 🙂 I cried a river when my hubby and I finished fostering her (we got her at 3 weeks and just delivered her, at 10 weeks, to her new forever home, AKA my husband’s parents). I could only give her to family members, since the thought of never seeing Purrl again would devastate my husband and me.
Thanks to all for the very kind words! Hugs to you all, and happy holidays!

Any idea why they do that?
Cloudchaser,
I believe the unweaned kitten/puppy euthanizing rule is a resource allocation issue. Bottle feeding is a lot of work, and the little babies are not always cooperative. I remember Purrl was often very wiggly, trying to fight and/or make biscuits on her bottle rather than actually drinking… So presumably someone made a decision that the shelters could better use their limited time and money on other animals than the unweaned babies. Fortunately some of them get to foster homes like us instead – Purrl was the first such foster kitten we’ve had, but I’m sure she won’t be the last.
OK, thanx 🙂
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Aww!! TOO CUTE for words! I love that little face……and how she is so tiny and tucked in and warm. She’s precious! Purrl….I love it!
