A six-pack of FUZZ! Beautious!
oh my, oh my, oh my!!! A box full of furrballs – look at those sets of blue eyes!!! too cute – hope they all find just wonderful homes.
–I noticed all the blue eyes as well
I have never known a cat to have that many kittens in one litter. Five is the most I’ve seen. Poor momma must’ve been exhausted after having this brood.
Good Morning,Afternoon,Evening everyone
**Wish I knew how Alex was doing w/Star & her new kitties
Really? First rescue I ever did was a very pregnant female patched calico tabby, who had 7 kittens; 3 patched orange tabbies, 2 patched gray tabbies, and 2 black & whites.
The average litter size for Siamese is about six kittens but much larger litters of ten or more are not uncommon.
–funny–
The Siamese in our neighborhood has had 3 litters. 4 in the 1st two litters & 5 in her most recent litter.
*If I were her I’d be wanting to slap some toms into the next county if they got near me. 😆
Which brings up Mom’s cat Big Mac.
She was a stray mom started feeding but would not bring into the house because she was a female stray and all female strays are pregnant. Ok, by the time she relented Big Mac was pregnant. (Old wives tales will bite you nearly every time.)
Big Mac was named by her habit of appearing at the slightest hint that Mom was getting her food. It had to be telepathy because she would come running to the porch before the dry food could rattle or the can-opener start to whir. And Dad said she (the cat) was having a “Big Mac Attack” like the current McDonalds commercial.
“Big Mac” stuck for her name.
Well, when grossly pregnant with the “Quarter Pounders” Mac was taking stroll on the front walk for some sun when one of her former beaus came running up to her with the “Hi where you been toots?” line and she smacked the fire out of him. Kinda a Captn Jack, “I may have deserved that” scene.
Dad roared with laughter and said “Mackie, you should have thought about doing that a couple of months ago!”
That storey is soooo funny. I was nearly peeing in my pants when I read to the end.
–ailuromaniac–
Hilarious story. I love the ‘Quarter Pounders’ 😆
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh my gosh!! The J Pod! What a bunch of cuties they are!! kt
I’m First! THUD……..
Grabs a soft pillow, a strong latte and a fluffly kitten for Tinafish. Here Tina, heres Jake.
And I will cuddle with Jasmine and Jane for a little bit. A truly cute group here worth plenty of snuggles. Let’s all share.
Just gotta love Box O Kitties! Plenty to share in the circle. Platter of breakfast meats and eggs cooked to order coming up! Plus today, french toast and fresh peaches.
THAT MAKES NO SENCE
Sure it does 🙂
sense not sence
Nyahm! French toast and peaches!
I THINK I’M GOING TO DIE…
Gets pillow ready fro Pipa’s Mum, just in case! Here have an ABC to fortify
*opens one eye*
*takes pillow*
*faints again*
(you can never be too careful… thanks!)
*grabs homemade cuteness overload airbag*
*straps it on*
THUDDDDD
*PLOFFF*
Do we need to have a warning label put on this site?
No, just on Pipa’s mom! 🙂
If this keeps getting cuter it could get ugly…
*Rushes off to get a patent on my COA (cuteness overload airbag)
–Oh no you don’t Pipa’s Mum–
I already snagged the patent
*You’ll have to come up w/a copy-cat product*
*sorry*
BTW
My patent request just got pushed down a tad before you were able to see it
**maybe we could go into business together**?
Sounds like a good plan,huh?
–Portable airbags–
The purrfect solution to all this fainting.
**Gets a patent on it before anyone else thinks of it**
😛
…thud…thud…thud…thud…thud…thud…
Geez! It’s good I have a six handed nurse robot for situations like this… 🙂
It must be fun (and exhausting) watching all these kittens playing. All six look adorable.
I would never leave me house, I want to play with them!
Good morning All!!
Good afternoon KM!!
Hi Alex!
What a box of cuties!!!
I’ll take french toast with maple syrup please ppearson!!
and my babies all send headbonks to all that we didn’t talk to this week-end. We were gone all week-end!!
Love Terri
Hi Terri – How are the kittens doing?
The kittens are GREAT!! You should see the littlest ones. My little Tiger climbed into the water bowl and went for a swim. Silly little boy cat!!!
Oh bless! Any chance we can see some pictures? 😀
I’ll have waffles, I think, with maple syrup and some whipped cream. Whipped cream smeared on the waffles in stripes so they look like tabby waffles, in honor of the semi-tabby markings on these adorable fuzzes.
Lucky Dip, kitten style!
what a good looking kittens! cheaper by the 1/2 dozen?
think if i took one they would notice? they are so cute!!!!!!!!!!!
I would notice because I want them all for myself! (Counting to make sure all are here) One…Two…Three… umm…HOLD STILL …I can’t count all of you when you’re all playing around.
What Fun!

Okay, Missy, I’ll share with you. I want to start with the little one on the left, with those big beautiful eyes!

UUMMMM! I smell lattes and kittens, I am coming to. Thanks ppearson for the pillow and Jake. Elene in PA please repost your poem about rescurers from yesterday. I was beautiful or KM could you post it? I think everyone will really appreciate the beauty of the written word on this hot hot Monday.
Thanks
tf
Sitting nicely in the share circle, please pass the eggs benedict and a mimosa my way………
Tinafish – here it is, but just want to make sure all are aware it was not written by me, author unknown.
I Am An Animal Rescuer
My job is to assist God’s creatures.
I was born with the drive to fulfill their needs.
I take in helpless, unwanted, homeless creatures without selection.
I have bought dog food with my last dime.
I have patted a mangy head with a bare hand.
I have hugged someone vicious and afraid.
I have fallen in love a thousand times.
And I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body too many times to count.
I have Animal Friends and friends who have animal friends.
I notice those lost on the road side and my heart aches.
I will hand raise a field mouse and make friends with a vulture.
I know of no creature unworthy of my time.
I want to live forever if there aren’t animals in Heaven,
but I believe there are.
Why would God make something so perfect and leave it behind?
Some may think we are masters of the animals,
but the animals have mastered themselves…
something people still haven’t learned.
War and abuse make me hurt for the world,
but a rescue that makes the news gives me hope for mankind.
We are a quiet but determined army
and we are making a difference everyday.
There is nothing more necessary than warming an orphan,
nothing more rewarding than saving a life,
no higher recognition than watching them thrive.
There is no greater joy than seeing a baby play
who, only days ago, was too weak to eat.
By the love of those who I’ve been privileged to rescue,
I have been rescued.
I know what true unconditional love really is,
for I’ve seen it shining in the eyes of so many,
grateful for so little.
I am an Animal Rescuer.
My work is never done.
My home is never quiet.
My wallet is always empty,
but my heart is always full.
Elene, I saw that yesterday, too; thank you, it’s lovely.
Anncetera, any luck with the mama and babies this am?
Mom to Tiga and the gang, scroll down a little ways…
–anncetera–
From your later post yesterday,It looks like your a couple of steps ahead of the game w/the TNR situation
Your a sweetheart for what your doing, all the name of giving these animals a better quality of life. Bless You 😀
–ooops–
that’s all “in” the name of
My eyes filled with tears when I read this….so true. We ARE our brother’s keepers. Darling kittens.
That is truely beautiful and or so true. I never knew what unconditional love was until I rescued my kitties.
This is so beautiful, thank you.
Come on, you guys!!! There are plenty of fluffy babies to pass around today, no need to tussle over who gets one. I can’t believe this whole basket of cuteness! How could you give them up? I couldn’t do it.
It’s…it’s a whole passel o kittens! I’m torn between passing out from the cuteness and joining the circle to have a turn at trying to spoil six kittens alll at once!
While I dither, here’s some lovely orange chocolate chip breakfast bread for everyone.
Well, that’s something I GOT to taste. 🙂 Delicious!
It’s a loaded “J” day! My brothers, sisters and I all have names beginning with J. This gang of tigers is just so cute! Think I’ll just “THUD” right in the middle of the J furrballs. Ahhh, that’s the stuff. “SNOOZE*
–Joan– **Who needs a pillow when you have all those kitties to break your fall
*that was funny*

Morning or early afternoon one & all, now isn’t this horde of little tabbies just lovely…how could you not have fun with them
The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.
It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on the purple box “fund food for animals†for free. This doesn’t cost you a thing.
Corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned animals in exchange for advertising.
Here’s the web site! Pass it along to people you know:

Will do so… every day… I Promise…
A great way to remember is to click on the address box and drag it down to your browser’s links. That way, you see it every day whether you open your Favorites or not.
I tried it and it worked thanks for teaching me how to do it. Now I am not such a computer goof but light years a way from being a geek.
Done, will visit daily
A great site! I try to visit every day.
Thank you for the reminder
Done-I put it on my favorites list so I remember to click every day.
I did too!
So did I. Thanks for the reminder.

Box O’ Cuties! I want to crawl in with them and snuggle up! 🙂
happy thoughts to all… 🙂
Whata box of love!
OMG!!! plenty to go around 🙂
enjoy while you can, before some lucky person takes one (or more )of them home
Pipa’s Mum,
Do you receive our post in spainish?
No Tinafish… I receive the posts in English… and I write them back in English…
Maybe sometimes I miss some slang and details but in general I am able to answer back as correctly as I can… 😳
Heck, Pipa’s mum, nothing to be embarased about. Your English is a heck of a lot better than most people I know who have spoken it all their lives.
And you know how to properly use grammar – bonus points for that. 🙂
Oh Instinct… Thank you…
I thought that you were a bit reticent with me because I put the OFF switch on you flaming Pud-Wao (never will get the name right!)…
I actually really appreciate your comment 🙂
Makes all those tortuous English lessons worth while!
Pu-Dao 🙂
Naw, I like you. And your English is soooo much better than my Spanish. All I remember of my spanish is the bad word that can get you into a fight 🙂
I use to remember how to say two other things “My friend is paying for the drinks” and “Where is the bathroom please?” but it has been a while.
😆
Here in Spain anything said against someone’s mother will guarantee at least a nose job!
‘Mi amigo paga las bebidas’
‘Dónde está el baño?’
Two very important phrases you should re-learn…
Another one is ‘Y la tapa que va con esto?’, this means… Where is the tapa (food that accompanies drink) that goes with this?
😀 Yes – when I was Spain, I seemed to do just fine with ‘Dónde está el baño?’ and ‘Una cerveza, por favor’!
Hi Pipa’s mum –
I completely agree with Instinct. Your english and grammar are much better than those whose primary language is english.
Lots of luck to you with your COA patent. If this site is armed with that, medicinal chocolate, goodies, the usual banter/chit-chat and KITTENS, I believe Kittenmaster will be quite pleased.
Have a great day!
Your comments are 99.99% flawless. I for one would never know english wasn’t your first language. Since I don’t speak another language I am always in awe of you, Miu and others that handle Americanized english so very well. 🙂
Thank you so much… 🙂
I am constantly learning from all of you!
Yes – I agree with Instinct too! Your English is excellent. In the past I worked on a team with members from all over the world, and believe me your English is among the best. You would almost not know that you are not a native English speaker! I certainly admire you – I’m sure I could not do as well in Spanish – even after many lessons! Hey – after 8 years in the UK, I am still trying to learn British English! 😉
I am constantly reminded of the Homer Simpson quote:”Why do I have to learn English? I’m never going to England!” D’oh!
T
Wow, Pipa’s mum, I truly thought you were a native-born English speaker who moved to Spain, your English is so good and idiomatic!
And remember – good and idiomatic is always better than bad and idiotic.. which is what we get from politicians
Good one, Instinct!
I am just surprised that Instinct speaks such good english, coming from the super hero planet with all the neat weapons …..hehehehehe
I like the kitten on the end with the whitish face, pass him over for a snuggy 🙂
Brandi Lee, how is life treating you today? Hope all is good.
It’s your yellow sun here. It gives me my powers and the ability to speak English like it was a 5th lanugage that I failed in middle school 😀
Elene,
all is quiet…………….no grandbaby………we all need to send the have the darn baby for gosh sakes to my daughter lol
The baby comes when it is ready. Why don’t you write to the baby, saying your thoughts and feelings during this wait. Think how neat it will be to show your grandchild later. (just trying to help pass the time…)
*stares at the cute little faces… whimpers… *
It’s not fair!! Too much cute in one picture!!
*reaches out and grabs an armful of cute kittens to snuzzle then sets them carefully back into the box and rushes off to work with visions of cute running through her head*
Hi Alex!
Hi Kittenmaster!
Hi everyone else. I hope y’all had a great weekend. What an adorable box of cuties. I want the see the names when they get to the “U’, “V”, “X” and “Z” litters.
Remember the mama cat Savannah and her kitten Danni I have been fostering? Well Danni will be going to House of Mews tomorrow so she can be adopted to a wonderful forever home. Savannah, however, will be staying with me a bit longer. SHE’S PREGNANT!!!!! I guess she got pregnant again while she was still nursing Danni and before I nabbed them. At first I thought the kitten chow was putting some weight on her since it has more fat and calories than adults need. But she was gaining so much so fast that I took her to the vet and he said he is pretty sure she is pregnant. She will be spayed this week. I am pro-life but I try not to be ridiculous about it. Savannah’s previous “owner” allowed her to get pregnant over and over the 3 years she had her and Savannah is exhausted. She had no help with any of her previous litters and as you know all but one of this last litters kittens died. I didn’t ask the monster woman (the owner) what happen to the previous litters. It would probably keep me awake nights. It’s time for Savannah to stop having babies and start learning how great life can be in a loving forever home.
Wait a second — if you’re having her spayed this week, does this mean you’re killing the unborn kittens?
Since it seems they won’t survive anyway, it will be kinder than having them suffer after they are born.
I understand your very sound reasoning. In that situation I would do the same thing and so would most shelters, including no-kill shelters.
Andi, it’s like a human proceedure to save the mother’s life, when the baby has no chance anyway. The mama cat is so overmated, she’s like a puppy mill dog, and needs to not give birth again.
Yes Andi. I’m sorry to say that if she is pregnant it will amount to an abortion. We didn’t do an ultra sound and the vet could not actually feel kittens but she put on weight so fast he said it is definitely possible she is pregnant. All but one of her last litter died and the litter before that she had 6 kittens and all except one of those died. Maybe there is some kind of genetic problems? I didn’t let that conversation with the monster woman continue because I didn’t want to know. It does bother me that this might be an abortion but as I said Savannah is exhausted and needs to rest and heal, not watch more of her babies die. I feel I have to put her health and wellbeing first since no-one else ever has.
I’d absolutely concur with your decision–it’s not a kindness to make her go through another pregnancy when her litters have such a low survival rate.
I think that the momma cats know how many kittens they can handle, and will adjust their litter size accordingly after they are born. I’ve seen a number of feral momma’s, and they seem to pick the one or two strongest if food is limited. I definitely agree with your choice to spay her now. There are so many homeless kitties out there and momma sounds like she needs a break.
Andi, Let us not make KITTYPAW’s decision harder than it has to be.
I have never been able to understand a postiton that to be pro-life is to be anti-abortion at any cost.
Also it floors me that so many “pro-lifers” are also “pro-capitol punishment”.
Can you say Oxymoron?
Thanks for your support everyone. I’m sure Andi is not fussing at me. I shouldn’t have announced “SHE’S PREGNANT” when I am not 100 percent sure. I am a little freaked (even though I know cats can get pregnant when they are nursing). I fell asleep when I was reading yesterday and had a nightmare that I had forgotten I had kittens in my care and they all died. It was awful, but when I went and looked into Savannah’s trusting and accepting eyes (even after all she’s been through), I’m sure I am making the right decision.
Kittypaw–I’ve totally had that same nightmare. One of my VERY unfavoritemost dreams, bar none.
Kittypaw, you are making the right decision. That poor little mama cat has been overbred, and you are preserving her. Another litter could wreck her health or take her life.
pro capital punishment….why is it necessary to sterilize the area for the needle before a lethal injection? That is something I have always wondered about.
My female, Oreo (a b/w tuxie) has not been fixed yet, and I make it a point to always ensure she is not anywhere near the door when I leave in the morning, as she will occasionally zip out the door with me. It was on my schedule of things to do, but (for those of you who have followed my chronicles) with my current job situation, it got pushed to the back burner. Any ideas?
–Excuse me for asking Thomas, but, what’s lethal injection got to do w/spaying your Oreo? I’m sure the point is right under my nose. Maybe that’s why I can’t see it(lol)?
Thomas –
Call some of the shelters, many have inexpensive spay/neuter clinics. There is SPCA, PAWS, Ally Cat Allies and probably some small local organizations too. Just tell them about the job situation and lack of funds right now. Maybe offer to make a donation after you get back on your feet.
Lethal injection has nothing to do w/ Oreo- I was pointing out a strange quirk of humanity and then moving on to the next subject. Sorry!
T
ummm. excuse me… where may I purchase a box o’ kittens?? It would brighten up any dreary household.
Moderately good news to report this morning.
Mama kitty and all 4 kittens are still coming up onto the porch for nursing and feeding.
Bad news was that I got up a half hour late, and apparently that’s all it takes to throw chances of success out the window. The kittens had been nursing for some time by the time I opened the front door, to put food out. So when they scattered, and Mama kitty called for them, only the boldest and biggest of the kittens came back.
Good news is that the biggest kitten is also being weaned. Mama kitty has a definite limit to how much she’ll let him nurse, so he’s also drinking from the water dish and eating both wet & dry food on his own. Mama kitty is still calm and unconcerned while I’m around, so hopefully that’s affecting how the kittens may perceive me.
I have a feeling my strategy is going to become trapping kittens one by one, or at least trapping the largest and having him cry, bringing the other kittens around. I will know more after tomorrow morning. I’m going to feed very lightly tonight, so they’ll all be a little hungrier in the morning. I’m also going to make sure all the food is fully prepped, and ready to go when I crawl out of bed at 4:30 am. (Yes, I’m going to bed earlier to increase chances of success.)
Photos are uploaded to Catster, under anncetera. I couldn’t get all 5 of them in one shot, but between the two photos, you can eventually see all the kittens. Sorry for the graininess; the photos were taken through the screen door.
(And no, the kittens aren’t giant mutants; Mama kitty is *really* that tiny!)
Sweet babies. I hope you are able to corral them.
I’m really surprised by how dark the little brown mackerel tabby is; the dark striping is at least 50% of the coloration. That little one is the shyest of all; I consider myself lucky to see her two days in a row, even for just a brief glimpse.
(Trapping is not necessarily compatible with working 50+ hours per week, but I think this weekend helped, as far as simple exposure is concerned.)
Hi Anncetera – Could you please provide a link? I tried searching on Catster using your name, but nothing came up. Just copy the url into the URI field in the Comments box here, and it will make your name a link to the catster page.
Mama kitty, two black kittens and one grey dilute tabby.
Thanks Anncetera–they are so sweet!
Thanks! Bless – they are so cute! I love the little black one looking up at you in the first picture. He reminds me of Tikka when she was little. Very, very sweet! Best of luck with them!
I see them now! They are so pretty and they do look huge next to mama kitty 🙂
She is the tiniest adult female I’ve ever seen, short of a genetically dwarfed (abnormal) Siamese named Pixel, who topped out around 3 pounds. Her kittens cannot be more than 8-9 weeks old, as she was very preggers until almost the very end of March.
I’m amazed that such a small cat was able to give birth to 5 babies. She must have her paws full caring for them. Happy to hear that she’s responding to your care. Good luck!
–Wish I could show you Runt–
With all her kitties on a ninny, they fill up 3-quarters of her body. All she has left is her head. It’s so funny to see. She’s starting to kick them away from her belly now & trying to romp & stomp w/them. She never had a chance to play much before she got pregnant. Poor gal.
Beautiful kittens! Momma cat is very beautiful too and yes, she is unbelievably tiny. I so wish for a successful ‘cat nap’!
They are so cute. Thanks for sharing them all with us. I’m so glad that all four are safe and sound back where they belong.
Cleaver
oops, that should have FIVE kitties not four.
Cleaver
Anncetera, you are doing a wonderful job. Good luck with catching them all. There is something extra special about feral cats and kittens (to me anyway). Please do fix it so I can click on your name and see them. I’m almost a computer illierate so people have to make it simple for me. Tom’s Town had a mama cat a few years ago who weighed 5.5 pounds (still does in fact, she is really tiny too) and all of her kittens grew up to be 8-10 pounds! I wasn’t with Tom’s Town then but I would have loved to watch teenie mama keep her giant kittens in line 🙂
Mama kitty, one black, grey dilute tabby, and brown tabby kitten. The brown tabby in the front is the most reclusive and skittish of all. The black kitten in the other family photo is the largest and boldest of the litter, also apparently the first being seriously weaned.
What lovely kitty family. It looks like Mama Kitty is looking at you with adoring eyes
I call that her look of eternal, maternal patience. She’s not afraid of me anymore, and that’s a good thing for her kittens to observe. I’m really looking forward to getting them into a controlled environment, to learn more about these strange critters called ‘people.’
I wish you the best possible outcome with all these lovely sweethearts.
Awww, they’re adorable! What a little mama cat. I wish you good luck in rescuing them.
That looks like a photo of my Aunt’s Mama Kitty from years ago. Only the “kittens” in that photo were almost 2 yrs old. That Mama Kitty never weaned her last litter!
How do we get to see them on Catster? Tried “anncetera” on search, but it didn’t come up with anything. Would love to see your kitties.
Oh, never mind. Just noticed your name in pink now!!!!
–Mama kitty is truly saying “I’m done having babies”
**Cute as can be picture tho
Yes, she’s done, if I have anything to say about it. We’ll see if I can be successful with the lot of them tomorrow morning; if not, I’m either going to get a net or snag them one by one.
It is wonderful work you are doing. These precious kits will be forever grateful to you. I know you will be successful, hopefully sooner than later for your sake. You need to sleep. I am rooting for you 150%. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened this morning and thank you for posting the little darlings on catster.
To lapse into the vernacular: I am ded of teh cyoote.
Seriously, I’ll take the whole box. What a gorgeous bunch of babies!
A whole box o’brindles! Bet you can’t steal just one!
Enough for everyone to share without Instinct having to get out his flaming stick—we don’t want him to burn ALL his hair off! 😆
It’s OK, saves me from having to get a haircut 🙂
Is a brindle the same as a tabby? I have always wondered what pattern a brindle is.
Yes a brindle is the same as a tabby. My dad calls them brindles. He says all brindle cats are crazy.
I don’t think they’re all crazy, but the littlest one in the litter is definitely the most wary.
OOPS! Redford slipped today back to second place after a whole week in 1st. Only 6 more days left–think we can get him back to #1 by the 30th? Of course, he is still OUR #1 no matter what. Poor baby, his arthritis is so bad today, but he still insists on following us around the house, making sure we are properly guarded and attended to. We, in turn, let him snuggle under the electric blanket with us and give him the occasional treat for his love. He is our #1 for certain!

Hi Rainingwolf –
Did you see my post yesterday (very late!) I keep trying to vote, but I keep getting booted off to some other very dodgy website. Has anyone else had this problem?
Hi, Rubia, yes, that happens to me, too. I click no and close everything on the weird site, and retry-the 2nd time has gone thru with no problems. I really hate those stupid popups! Thank you so much for your votes!
Thanks! I pasted the url into a separate window and it worked fine. I’ve saved it as a favorite now, and will keep voting! 🙂
Just tried to vote – will have to wait til this evening when 24 hours have passed since my last 5 votes. He is #1 but he has tough competition from that sweet orphan that is #2 now.
Just got in my daily five. 3380 and still #1
I voted yesterday & today–keep posting every day to remind us to vote—GO REDFORD! #1!
Rainingwolf, I didn’t realize that we could vote more than once in a day. I just finished filling my quota for the day!!
I just voted for Redford again…got to keep him at #1! He sounds like my Maaj, always checking out the house & making sure his people are ok.
I voted 5 times!!!
Got my 5 and will do more from home tonight. No Internet allowed on Mondays. 🙁
I voted 🙂
I am a dedicated Redford fan & voter! He is a very pretty boy – you can be really proud of him! 🙂
I just went and voted again, he’s only about 30 votes behind right now. I think we can do it, I’ll catch him again tomorrow. Good luck!
Cleaver
Redford has pulled to within 30 votes of the first place kitten. Go, Redford!
Awwwww – A 6-pack of mischief! What beautiful babies! Pipa’s mum – can I please borrow your Cutenss Overload Airbag? Everything is going dark….
*THUD*
*POOF*
Got there just in time!
😀
Ahhhhh – thank you Pipa’s Mum!
Could I please also have some eggs benedict and a mimosa – and of course one of the fluffy kittens to cuddle for a few minutes?
Would not recognize some eggs benedict if it slapped me in the face!
But I can do some Spanish Omelette??
*hands over a kittie*
Oh si, por favor! Es muy bien!
(Sorry – that’s about the extent of my Spanish – unlike your English which is excellent!)
Pipa’s Mum, Eggs Benedict is a poached egg on top of Canadian bacon, on top of 1/2 of a toasted English muffin and its all covered in Hollandaise Sauce. Hollandaise sauce is a rich lemony sauce.
Yum! One of my favorite breakfasts (when I have time, or when i go to a restaurant!)
What a box of naughtiness!!
Especially the one on the left… he looks VERY mischevious!
Yes – Janie does look very mischievious! She has definitely got her eye on something that she wants to pounce on! I like the one in the upper right (not sure if that is Jack or Jasper) but he is crawling up the blanket. You can see he’s thinking, “If I can just get up here, I’m free!!!”
YEAH!! A box of kitties to cure Monday morning! I’ll take six please!
6 kitties, or 6 boxes of kitties??
LOL
oohhh— If six boxes of six kitties each is an option… I’ll take that!
Adorable bundle of six J’s. How sweet. I hope they all find wonderful, loving furrever homes.
Oh, my goodness…a box full of kitten love!
I wouldn’t be able to let them go when it came time to go to their new families!
Our AZ Humane Society addressed that issue on their Saturday TV program with one of the foster moms. Her answer was if she did not give them up to go to their “forever” homes she couldn’t take in more fosters who so desperately need care until they are well/old enough to be neutered and put up for adoption.
How does one “foster” and resist the urge to “keep”? too adorable!!
the mewing….the mewing…..I think I know how well meaning people start with one and then watch their numbers go up from there
hats off to all foster mums and dads, kudos to you!!!
I want them all; so cute
Good grief! It’s a box of kittens!
Awwww! Cute!
Awwww – just too much cuteness today! Boxes and boxes of kittens! Oh no – not again…. it’s all going black around the edges again…
*PLOOF*
Ahh – thank goodness for Pipa’s Mum’s CO airbag! 😀
Great link! Thank you!
–That was darling Andrew–
They look just like one of the kittens we rescued out of the electrical pedestal the other day, but, without the striping on the legs.
It’s precious how they start to play w/one another at such an early age, huh?
Awww! They’re all so Dear!
Good morning TDKers, Puddyatat here. I had my 4th knee surgery last Wed. All went well. I am home on meds and doing fine. My daughter came in to town last Wednesday for the surgery and brought all of her kitties! I have 5 in the house now. Wonderful. They have kept me entertained and amused. It is so much fun having them here. Today we are celebrating my birthday with cake and ice cream. All are invited of course. After work friends are coming in to help us celebrate with food, wine, laughter and kitties. Hope everyone has a great day. I love the little tabbies. Such sweet faces.
Good afternoon KM and hello Alex.
HM are you getting all the rain this morning? It is really coming down here in Aggieland.
Hey Puddytat,
I’ll bet you know the answer to this one.
What do you call an Aggie a year after graduation?
Have no idea!
BOSS
Happy Birthday, Puddytat. Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful celebration!
Happy birthday celebration and get well quick!
–Happy B-Day Puttytat–
It’s great that your surgery went so well
**Prayers & headbunts for continued healing**

Typical Monday Morning Misspelling
So Sorry Puddytat 😳
Happy Birthday and a speedy recovery Puddytat!
Ditto susie, puddytat.
Hi PuddyTat –
Glad to hear that your knee surgery went well and that you are on the mend! I know that having a housefull of kitties would certainly help me heal more quickly! 😀
And Happy Birthday! I’ve baked another Better Than Sex chocolate cake for you! Have a great day!
– Dee –
Don’t know if you saw this the other day, I posted them kind of late. Here are links to a couple of recipes for Better Than Sex Chocolate Cake:

Rubia–I saw those! It looks like my kind of cake! Thanks a bunch. BTW, you said you have been in the UK for 8 years–what part of the world were you in previously?
I was actually born in New York City. We lived in the suburbs outside the city until I was 14 when my dad retired and we moved to San Diego. I lived there for quite a while until my then husband was transferred to the San Francisco area. I lived there for quite a while up until 8 1/2 years ago when I moved to the UK. My 2nd husband is a Brit; we met through work. He has 2 kids over here, so I moved here, rather than having him move to Calif. Luckily I was able to tranfer with my job. It was quite an adjustment at first, but I’m really happy living here now.
That’s very interesting, Rubia. So you had the culture shock of east coast vs west coast as I had the culture shock of the north (Detroit area until 21) vs the south. And now you are in the UK–so many interesting changes!
Yes – there is definitely a culture shock when you move from one end of the country to the other – east/west or north/south! I was definitely up for the move to the west coast, though! At age 14, I couldn’t wait to move to Calif, where I was going to go to the beach everyday and become a surfer chick! HA! Very fair skin and frizzy red hair did not make for being a very good beach chick! 😉
My mom was born in Crystal Falls, MI, and for a while worked in Detroit. But that was a very long time ago (she is 90 now).
What caused you to move south from Detroit?
A man! I broke up with my fiance and came running home to mommy. haha! She had just retired to Tampa the year before. I think she was hoping she would finally get rid of my sister and me, but we both followed her down here! My mother moved back to the Detroit area 2 years ago. In poor health at 86, she lives with my brother and sister in law.
Men!!! *Shakes head* It was always thus! People here are always asking me why I moved from Calif to the UK (they all think I am nuts!), and I have to explain that it is all my husband’s fault! 😉
haha!
Happy Birthday! Glad that the meds are doing their thing. Hey, if you have any leftover, you could bring them to the sharing circle!
Happy Birthday! Cake and kitties does it get any better?
with pierce brosnan and chocolate, it does…
Congrats on the knee surgery and Happy Birthday.
Glad to hear your surgery went well and that you have someone to be with you and kitties to entertain you. Best wishes for a very speedy recovery.
P.S. Meant to add best wishes for a Happy Birthday, too!
Hi Puddytat. I’m glad your knee surgery went well and Happy Birthday!!
Happy Birthday Puddytat and happy mending to you. Sounds like a wonderful celebration of your day with Family, Friends, Felines, Food, Festivities and Fun. Enjoy 🙂
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Puddytat, it sounds as if you have the whole day all planned out. Have a good time and enjoy all of the fun with the family, friends and kitties. Glad to hear that you are doing so well after the surgery, just don’t have to many meds with your wine or you will need Pipa’s Mom COA. 🙂 Have a great day and enjoy all those kitties while you can.
Cleaver
That should have been Pipa’s Mum. Darn fingers, just washed them and can’t do a darn thing with them.

Please excuse the typos am medicated!
You have every reason to be medicted. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from the surgery and a very happy birthday!
Oops. I meant “medicated.” I have no excuse for my poor spelling–I’m not on any meds! 😳
**PETS SAVED FROM SHOP FIRE**
By SAMUEL GOLDSMITH
June 25, 2007 — Nearly 200 animals were evacuated from a Long Island pet store yesterday after a basement fire filled the building with smoke.
Huntington Manor firefighters extinguished the flames at Selmer’s Pet Land in just five minutes, but it took them more than an hour to remove the 74 dogs and cats, 50 birds and 60 small animals, such as lizards and hamsters, from the three levels, said Assistant Fire Chief Gary Hatton.
“All of the pets in the entire store were scared, which is understandable,” Hatton said. “None of them were injured, and none of the firefighters were injured by any pets,” he added.
😎 cool, a six pack of fuzz balls. what a wonderfull way to start the week. 😀
In honor of CatRancher becoming a grandmother over the weekend, I’m posting this recipe!
Penne a la Vodka
Ingredients
7 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3/4 cup vodka
2 cups pureed or crushed canned Italian tomatoes
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 pound penne pasta, cooked al dente
4 ounces (1 cup) Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
8 fresh basil leaves, chopped
Directions
Warm a serving bowl for the pasta. Melt butter in a large skillet. Stir in pepper flakes and vodka. Simmer 2 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and cream. Simmer 5 minutes. Add seasoned salt and stir well. Lower heat and gently stir in pasta. Add parmesan. Pour into prepared serving bowl, toss with basil, and serve immediately.
Sounds like my kind of pasta! 😀
Congratulations to Catrancher!!!!!

I had forgotten to get my estrogen-patch prescription re-filled, and soon the symptoms of menopause-hot flashes, forgetfulness, irritability-returned. At the drugstore, I found myself telling the pharmacist all about my problems. After listening patiently, he asked, “So, how many people asked you to get this refilled?”

Clinical depression runs in my family so I take Lexapro (it’s like Prozac). If I don’t take it my family starts asking me if I’m off my meds 🙂 It’s pretty obvious.
I have a mail-order pharmacy through my insurance company (Blue Shield), and a while ago, I was trying to get refills on my Prozac through the Internet. Of course, the pharmacy website was updated and had new software, and everything, and our computer system at work was woefully outdated.
Several of the men in my office offered to re-order my meds on their own computers, and one of them even offered to go “score” some on the street! I mean, really, I am NOT that bad! I AM NOT!!
See, this is why I am just angry all the time, and more than willing to be set on Elene’s tormentors. Luckily, I have a job that benefits from my pugnaciousness.
Very funny!
that is a mess of kittens. they’re all adorable though!
**Woman Protests Voter Rules By Registering Dog To Vote**
POSTED: 9:01 am PDT June 22, 2007
SEATTLE — The second time Duncan M. MacDonald sent in an absentee ballot, an election worker in Federal Way called to ask about the paw print on the envelope. But it took three ballots before the prosecutor contacted the voting dog’s owner.
Jane Balogh said she registered the Australian shepherd-terrier mix to vote in protest of a 2005 state voter-registration law that she says makes it too easy for noncitizens to vote.
She put her phone bill in Duncan’s name, then used the phone bill as identification to register him as a voter.
“I wasn’t trying to do anything fraudulent. I was trying to prove that our system is flawed. So I got myself in trouble,” she says.
Prosecutors have offered the grandmother and Army veteran a deal: plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to a public official and they will not file a felony charge of providing false information on a voter-registration application.
Balogh said she doesn’t plan to contest the charge because “I know I’m guilty.” She said she submitted ballots in the dog’s name in the September and November 2006 and May 2007 elections. She wrote “VOID” on the ballots and didn’t cast any votes.
Prosecutors said they would recommend she be sentenced to 10 hours of community service, pay a $250 fine and commit no other crimes for a year. Balogh is scheduled to be arraigned in King County Superior Court on Tuesday.
Acting Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg says his office “can’t simply look the other way. They say you should let sleeping dogs lie, but you can’t let voting dogs vote.”

Just sent you e-mails. Please let me know if they went thru alright.
These kitties are so gorgeous!!! Hope they all went to good homes. What big blue eyes they have!!!
So adorable. I like how there names all start with j’s
I got really sick in the middle of the night last night and my Molly took such good care of me (in her best nurse kitty manner). She followed me from bed to bathroom and back and snuggled up to me when I had to move to get more comfortable she just adjusted. She even cuddled on the side she doesn’t like; it was really comforting
They do know, don’t they? Mine are like that, too. Love them so much. Feel better, will you?
I hope you are better today Sandi. How sweet of Molly to take care of you. If I am really sick, my Romeo sticks to me like velcro. Since he is my cat with major agression issues it’s kind of strange that he is such a good little nurse. But I’ll take any affection I can get from Romeo 🙂 Too bad he can tell when I’m faking it 🙂
Hpe you feel better now! At least you had the best possible care. 🙂
I hope you are feeling better today! At least you have a lovely fur ball to cuddle!
Hope you are feeling better today Sandi, there’s nothing better then a big old cuddle buddy on days like that.

Sandi I hope you are feeling better today. So cute having a nurse kitty to take good care of you.
Thought you’d all enjoy this!!!
9 words women use :
1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour.
Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This meanssomething, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
4.) G oAhead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!
5.) Loud Sigh: This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
6.) That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you’re welcome.
8.) Whatever: Is a women’s way of saying F*@& YOU!
9.) Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking “What’s wrong?” For the woman’s response refer to #3.
haha! I love the one about the loud sigh!
LOL!
I’m re-posting this cute video from yesterday (about 1 min long).

Fun-n-n-n-y. I love these videos.
Dee, I watched this over the week-end and My Chucky was on my lap he tried to climb into the computer. to get the cat and the string!! It was very funny!!
Hello all!!
I have missed visiting. I lost my internet Thursday around 5pm and just got it back now. The guy came and re routed the wire as my modem had problems… Guess it was the lightening.
Gotta go get my grandkids now…. they are patiently awaiting, but I had to stay here for the service guy.
Bye, have a GREAT day!!!!
Haven’t seen you for a looong time! Glad you dropped in!
Hey, everyone, please come join the TDK Breakfast Club group on Catster. Here, the cyber breakfast buffet never closes.
Great idea! Thanks! 😀
Y’all cross your fingers for me and my friend. The feral kittens on our lot are finally old enough that I feel O.K. about taking the moms away long enough to get them spayed. I’m setting a trap tonight. We really, really want to get these moms spayed before they have more babies.
Good luck Kittypaw – will cross my fingers, toes and eyes if that helps. Will you be gathering up the kits while the moms are being spayed and healing? Everytime I hear of another person doing TNReturn or TNRescue it makes me think the overpopulation problem may be fixed.
–I’m w/you Elene–
In this neck of the woods,we usually focus on getting the kitties trapped first because they grow so fast, & become so skittish the older they get.
**Extra tight fingers crossed heading your way KITTYPAW for continued success
Thanks y’all. We are nabbing kittens too. In fact, I already have one and Twisty has socialized nicely. His way of saying hello is to shove his entire muzzle into my nostril 🙂
I just love that image of Twisty’s greeting 😛
My four 7 week old babes think I’m a tree trunk. When I walk in the room they take a running leap (I put on Jeans to go in there now) and climb up to my shoulder. When I get them back to the floor they sit on my shoes or feet and cry for petting. I won’t miss my daily bleeding from untrained claws and teeth. All but little LeiLani are learning to keep claws in when touching my bare skin.
Good luck with all moms and kits. We are all rooting for you big time.
I have my fingers (and my toes) crossed for you!
Best of luck Kittypaw! I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed and so is Tikka!
Kittypaw, could you please keep us posted about the status of this whole venture? And we’re all pulling for you and the MomCats.
Good luck KittyPaw with both the moms and the kittens. I know you will feel much better when you know they are all safe, fixed and living the good life. What a great job you have done with them all, and so patient too. Keep up the good work, you and everyone else that is doing the same.

J&J&J&J&J&J! Cuteness overload in progress! The only problem is they all don’t fit in my lap at the same time. 🙂 Six fabulous tabbies… THUD!
Oh no – another one! *Rushes to miu with pillow and Baileys, and a late night snack of whatever she wants! Brings one kitten at a time for cuddles to avoid future overload. Note to self – get one of Pipa’s Mum’s Cute Overload Airbags for miu! *
There – are you feeling better now?
Thanks, Rubia! You are a wonderful nurse. Everything is perfect except… Can you bring Pierce here? 😉
Osceola? Well, I’m just a stone’s throw away (I work in South Bend), and I think these babies need to be held–several times daily. And they need to be snuggled, quite liberally.
It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it. I’ll volunteer!
These kitties are sooo cute!
A basketfull of love! May the Lord bless you and these babies always. 🙂

gosh i hope they all find wonderful furrever homes, and hoepfully some can be placed together. they are super duper cute. each and every one of them 🙂 bless you for fostering and the hard work you do.
Hi all, I’m LWY from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Would like thank those who said Hi. Don’t know how many will be reading this post at this time.
I have a little problem. I kinda kidnapped a beautiful part-feral mama cat and her 4 kittens (about 2/3 weeks old). They were actually in an abandoned house that will soon be demolished, I got worried and decided to bring them home with me. My father-in-law had been feeding her and helped me trapped her. She is pretty wild and bit me (I had to get an injection after). She and her kittens are now placed in box outside my porch. She runs away everytime she sees me or my family. I am worried she will abandon her kittens. Also, she does not like the Purina Friskies (only food my own cat, WaiShiLao would eat) I am feeding her. She is used to eating raw animal parts that my dad-in-law and his neighbors give her.
How do I get her to trust me enough not to run? How soon can I get her to be spayed? There are a lot of un-neutered toms around my house and I don’t want her to get pregnant again.
Hi LWY,
It sounds like you and the father-in-law did a fine job snaching thoses little buggers. I can’t help you to much on your feeding troubles other then then to suggest trying some cooked meat such as chicken. There are lots of people here that can tell you much more about that kind of stuff then I. I don’t have any ferral cats where I live, so it’s not something that I have to much experience with. If no one see’s this being as it’s so late, be sure to re-post it tomorrow and I’m sure that several of them will be more then willing to give you some advice. Good luck and welcome to the TDK family!
Cleaver
Kittenmaster, would you please repost LWY / KL’s post asking for help, on Tuesday’s blog? Let the earlier birds get a try?
I hope you see this. Does your local shelter rent humane cat traps?
Put some smelly fish or chicken in it and hope she goes in.9Put the trap in some bushes or cover ot with a towel on your porch)
Try a different cat food for her and the kittens maybe?
Good luck to you!
LWY – If she is that frightened she may move the babies. Try to move the box to a safe area but away from the constant traffic. If at all possible put her and babies in a bathroom or other small room where she can’t get away.
My only suggestion is to constantly talk to her. Let her get used to you being around the babies and her. It does take some time if they are truly feral, and it depends a lot on the personality of that particular cat.
If you need to get her spayed before the kittens are fully weaned you may have to bottle feed them while she is healing. I would call your local veterinarian for guidelines.
If available there try some canned cat food. Friskies canned has many flavors and all my cats love it, including the ferals outside. I sometimes mix the canned and dry with some warm water and some of the cats prefer that.
You’ll need to use a live trap to catch that cat. You’re not going to get her to trust you in time otherwise — she’ll be pregnant again before too long. After that, it’s just going to take time.
I’d also be concerned that she’s going to try to move those kittens, so keep a close eye on them.
She has kittens so she can be spayed ASAP that would be when the kittens are being weaned.
As a feral, you will have to abuse any trust she has by trapping her to get the spaying done.
Until that moment and after I would suggest pretending to ignore her and talk and entice her kittens to socialize with you. As she watches you care for her young, she may decide you are her protector and accept you as well.
These kittens are the cutest! I love the names! So, cute!
Such a bunch of precious, innocent little faces! May the Lord bless you and these fur babies always. 🙂
aww soo cute!!it looks like they are dying to get their pic. taken!!!their names are like tounge twisters!it took me a while to figure out how to say them!!!
i remember when the mom of my cats hid them behind the computer desk in a tight space when no one could find them!i finnally found them and got them out.the mom was sooo mad at me but she was also a little happy because they were starved!!!
