POUNCE! finally
that wide-eyed face must get him out of many a scolding. very sweet!
Oh, yes, that’s the face of a troublemaker all right, with those wide innocent eyes and huge ears to set them off even more. The more innocent a cat looks, the more trouble he or she is either planning or has just committed.
your kitten is so adorible i love that kitten
What a little sweetie! Look at those big ears. So sorry he is no longer with us. I am sure he is still a master over the rainbow bridge.
What a cutey. I am sure this one is missed here on earth, but he is probably getting lots of love and cuddles in heaven.
omg! he is so precious!! those eyes.
Now I know where they got Puss In Boots’ “Bambi eyes” expression in the Shrek movies! Separated at birth, perhaps?
OMG!! He does have the Puss In Boots eyes….awwwww!
Those eyes….
How full of meaning they are!
I… can’t…
**THUDDD**
You are so right… Looks like Hobbes is about to cry 😥
I saw those eyes and just knew what a mischief maker he was! They seem to be saying, “Who me?! No, not me look how inocent I am!” All he needs is the quivering lower lip!
Puts pillow under Pipa’s Mom’s head and fans face
Thanks!!
I needed that!
😀
cheri gets pierce brosnan to kiss pipa’s mum just like the cartoon “snow white”…
I REALLY needed that!!
*Puckers*
*Opens one eye*
*lifts head slightly*
Were did everybody go?
Still on vacation!!!!
Come back!!! I miss you guys!!!!
Rushes over to Pipa’s Mum aide with pillow in hand and mocha latte in other…I’m here Pipa’s Mum, I’m here….
Hope everyone had a safe weekend….Good morning TDK’rs!
So good to see you back!
Getting worried!
🙂
*sips on mocha latte happily*
Hi Pipa’s mum!
How was your weekend? Seems like you are always fainting from cuteness overload. I guess when we are around you, we will have to just stand by and catch you! 🙂
We are still on our vacation. It has rained nearly everyday but Sunday. I would like to send a little of this rain to those in need of it. Also, I thought I’d drop off some banana bread to munch on, for those that are here.
Hello to everyone. Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Renee! Good to hear you!
You guys have only been away a day and I really missed you!
Funny isn’t it?
RIP Hobbes. I’m back!
tf
Welcome back Tinafish!!!
I’m here Pipa’s mama!!! I was gone over the week end, but I have returned. I missed everyone!!!
Mimosas all around
Good to see you back!!
Hooray!
What big beautiful eyes you have Hobbes….he’s got that “UH OH” look on his face. Absolute CUTENESS this morning..
No kidding! What a dear little fuzzzzzz
Calvin and Hobbs FUZZZZzzzzZZZ
yep – his brother’s name is calvin and has the same big ears as hobbes.
Ya’ gotcher self a kitten, a empty box, throw in a little trouble makin and bada-bing bada-boom, ya got yerself whole day a fun. Know what I mean?
bada bing bada boom!!!!
Bam! Great recipe for entertainment
You talkin ta me? You talkin ta me?! Dats right, he’s just heea fa your amuzmint!
Awwww……. what a sweet little face
Can you virtually kittennap a baby that is over the bridge???
Yes, but you have to have the help of one of the Valkyrie
Being able to hum Wagner helps.
Or at least have it blaring from the speakers on your Hewy…
Or do you think (since the kitty IS from New Jersey) you would have to be able to hum “Born to Run” instead???
Naw….get the Elmer Fudd opera version of “Kill the Wabbit” and you’re all set!
A friend of mine and I were at someone’s house and they were talking how rabbits were ruining their garden and the alternitive methods to keeping them out, when we both started singing that and no one knew what we were talking about! Needless to say they thought we were just being sadistic and we spent some time explaining ourselves. It made for a fun party
They obviously have no culture and you probably shouldn’t associate with them anymore 🙂
*nose up in air*
We must maintain our standards.
What a bunch of ultra-maroons! 😕
You is back!!! 😀
Wow! I was begining to think I was the only one how is still into viking/niorse mythology let alone Valkyrie’s. Also love the piece by Wagner.
obviously a norse of a different color…
This baby is too adorable! What a sweetie!!!
Hey Intuition,
How was your steak???
Did you have a nice weekend? It didn’t rain here thank goodness… I went to a picnic yesterday and the weather was just beautiful!!
She is actually relaxing at home today – she took today and tomorrow off as well.
We decided to have our own private dinner this weekend because last weekend was full with her family wanting her around since we will be moving in September, so instead we went out to dinner and saw a movie.
BTW, if you want to see a really funny spoof on the British detective shows and American action cop movies, go see Hot Fuzz – it is so good that I am going to get it for my DVD collection (and there are few films that get that rating) 🙂
Cool, thanks Instinct. My honey is an anti-social hermit. Actually he doesn’t like crowds (Viet Nam vet). So the only movies we see are DVDs. Which is fine-less expensive and no tempting buttery popcorn with a million calories! I love spoof movies. I want to write one that spoofs James Bond. I have a basic plot and some senes in mind but have no clue about how to get the dialog going. I should take a class.
Sounds fun 🙂 if you also like monster movies, go get Shaun of the Dead, same crew and actors but they spoof the zombie movies in it.
Might help with your idea – the subtle spoof vs. the ‘Austin Powers’ style of spoof.
My idea is focused on all the off spring of all those “love affairs” with the leading ladies. Like maybe the daughter of Pussy Galore having a daughter named Catnip- nick named Little Nipples…. that sort of thing.
Okay that is what happens when I get interupted in mid-blog. Not the daughter of the daughter- just daughter…you know!
😀 That would be good, and of course the disfunctional family (because dad was a cad who slept around)
What I want to see is a student-produced (it’d never work as a big-budget film) remake of “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.” I’ve come up with all kinds of ideas for “the Big W”–a cardboard cutout of Pres. Bush, the sign at a local Whataburger or Weinerschnitzel franchise, the 50 yard line at the University of Wisconsin’s stadium–maybe some intellectually-challenged individual could approach the “M” at Strawberry Field’s “Imagine” mosiac from the wrong angle! The possibilities are endless. Oh, yeah, you have to include some Z-list celebrity whose 15 minutes of fame expired before the director was born–wonder what Alejandro Rey is doing these days? 😆
Well, they did do a movie that was kind of a tribute to “Mad Mad world” called “Rat Race”, but it wasn’t as good.
Whataburger 🙂 Been a long time since I’ve had one of those
MMMMmmmmmm Whataburgers. MMMMMMMM
I have sworn off fast food since the movie-whatever the name was- it grossed me out. But Whatabuger does NOT fall under fast food. Still no fries though. As for the remake of the Mad, mad movie: somewhere in the middle you could have an OJ chase get mixed up in it! Like where did he come from kind of thing, funny thought….Everyone rushing around and then getting stuck behind the low speed chase, someone could run him off the road and beat the crud out of him….?
“casino royale” with david niven is a spoof on a james bond movie…
Picture in your mind Inspector Clouseau, saying “Bond, Jame Bond”
I was thinking, “Blonde, Jane Blonde.”
Agent 36-24-36!
Maybe Barbara Bach could slug it out with Vin Diesel over the appellation “XXX” 😆
Good morning, Alex.
Oh, and good morning Kittenmaster 🙂
My, my what big ears you have, Hobbes! My, my what big eyes you have, Hobbes! I hope he’s playing with our many other kitty friends over the Bridge.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. The weather was beautiful here in Michigan yesterday and still is–kinda don’t want to come back to work!!
–Max & Molly’s Mom–What part of Michigan you from? I was born in Pontiac. We lived in Union Lake,Then my folks moved us to California when I was 4yrs. old. Still have lots of relatives in that area of Michigan.
I grew up in Howell, but my grandparents lived in Waterford and my cousins went to Clarkston schools!!!
Hobbes has the quinessential look of ‘What, what did I do’ that only kittens can do so very well.
Hope that everyone had a wonderful long weekend, my weekend is just starting…the wonders of working midnight shift. Have a great day everyone!
Hi Alex, and Chester my thoughts and prayers are with you….
Sorry, folks, I can’t come out to play today. I’m supposed to be at work, but hubby went into the hospital w/cardiac issues yesterday. I got online to e-mail some stuff for e.o.y., and had to check out today’s fuzzaduzz.
Docs haven’t even seen hubby yet–he’s rather frustrated that no one is saying anything. I’m about to log off and head to the hospital. Please keep us in your prayers.

Interesting article about the up coming blue moon. At least for some of us. Depending on where you live, might have to wait till the end of June for your blue moon.

I understand the frustration, my husband has been in the er 4 times in 3 yrs, with ahrhthymias with out apparent cause, and the last time kep 3 days, they are just being very very careful, patience is hard when he’s the patient, I know.
Many prayers.
I’ll keep your hubby in my prayers Ginny and hope that everything will be okay.
Oh Ginny, you have my prayers.
Ginny.
All of my prayers and good thoughts coming your way from Aggieland. T-Do and Wilbur send tabby head bonks and purrs.

“BULLETIN, BULLETIN, BULLETIN” (apologies to Geo. Carlin)
The Dr. finally came to see hubby about 1/2 hr. ago. He’s scheduled a battery of cardio. and neuro. tests for tomorrow. Won’t really have much info until then. Right now the plan is for me to go to school tomorrow since hubby will be in and out all day and I need to verify grades. Looks like I will miss the stu’s last day Thurs. ’cause Dad is having eye surgery and it is extremely doubtful hubby will be able to drive Dad into Houston.
Puddytat: how fast can those vets at TAMU clone me? I need about two extra copies of me right now! 🙂
Thoughts and prayers for you and your husband. Hope the tests go well and that it was just a fluke.
Take care of your family–the rest will fall into place. Be careful so that you don’t run yourself into the ground.
Ginny,
Please remember that these things take time. The last clone I had word on was CC (carbon copy) the little tabby cat. I guess we will just have to wait in line!
You have a full plate, Ginny! All good wishes and prayers for good outcomes for your father and husband.
prayers and good wishes for you and your hubby
So sorry to hear about your hubby. Just got home from the hospital. Still a little groggy. Gonna have one heck of a scar. They didn’t put a bandage on it & I’m sorry I looked in the mirror.
Hobbes is so cute looking out of the box. I never could leave a box or paper bag out especially if I needed the box other wise it became a cat toy.
Chester take it easy and recuperate. My prayers for speedy healing are with you.
Chester! I’m so glad you’re home! Just rest and think up a really exiting cause for the scar. We can help. For example, *jack the ripper was about to attack a nurse, and you fought him off, but got wounded * How about it TDKers?
Try “they told me not to p*** off the cat!” 😆
Or, “I tried one of those triple bladed razors…. never making that mistake again.”
It’s an old football injury-I grew up in a rough neighborhood!
or
Whew! What a night! The songs, the liquor, the donkey and the flaming sword! Man, if I could remember it all, what a book!
chester, glad your home and look , offering support and expression to others, given what you’ve been through. Thats selflessness, bless you and hope you too feel better soon.
Hey Chester! Glad you’re back! Take time out to rest & heal. Relax and get better — and hang in
with us!
Glad to see you’re well enough to post. Get all the way well soon.
Chester,
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Wilbur, T-Do and I send healing thoughts.
Healing wishes to you, Chester. I always thought ascots were a bit dashing, kinda James Bondish!
So glad your surgery is over and that you are back on TDK. Purrs and headbonks from Digit and Furl. Warm healing light and prayers from me.
Hope hubby in is okay, Ginny! let us know how he makes out. Our prayers are with you!
Morning Alex, Hope you had a great week end!!!

Peekaboo, I see u!!!!!
Hobbes sure was a cutie. I’m very sorry he passed away – how old was he?
he was 12 1/2 when he passed away. i still miss him and think about him every day.
he eventually grew into his ears, but he never lost the knack to melt your heart with his big green eyes. with his personality, i’m sure he’s part of the rainbow bridge welcoming committee. 🙂
–Hugs & Purrs to you Gigi for the loss of your baby Hobbes–
He was a very beautiful baby boy! Sorry for your loss–I know he misses you too.
So sad for you. I know just how you feel. I still grieve over my Bandit and it’s been 8 yrs since he went over that rainbow bridge. I’ve lost others, but he was really special.
Your baby Hobbs was beautiful, and I’ll bet he keeps all our past purrfects entertained with his antics.
Thanks for sharing Hobbes’ story with us, Gigi. What a great furry member of your family he must have been.
Morning Alex! What a sweet baby. RIP Hobbes. Lacking the means to kidnap Hobbes, I will instead pass around the lattes, scones and clotted cream and everyone can bring the past kidnapped kitten of their choice.
good morning everyone! I will announce, once, that today is my birthday (42, or 39 with 3 years of experience), and leave it at that.
🙂
T
Happy Birthday Thomas! Brings out Large cake with 39 + 3 candles! Make a wish!
Jack Benny’s age right?
God Bless You, Jennifer! Even though I was only 10 when Benny died, he was then and still remains my favorite comedian! Someone once said that the only two tools a radio comedian has are sound and silence. Everyone else used sound to make you laugh; Jack Benny used the silence.
Don’t believe me? Listen to an audio-only of a trip to his vault, then follow it up with watching the same routine on a DVD of his TV show. ‘Nuff said.
Happy, Happy, Thomas! *screeches “Love in Bloom” on an unfortunate violin*
Happy B-Day to you, Happy B-Day to youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! Have a Beautimas day Thomas!
Feliz Cumpleaños Thomas!
39+3= explosive mixture of youth + experience
Well done!!
Happy Birthday!!!! What flavor of cake would you like?
yellow cake w/chocolate icing….
You got it!!!!
Have a Happy Happy Birthday. You know, after 40 it’s the eye sight that goes first. You start noticing all kinds of bizarre changes in your physic. We are not invinsible after all…lol.
Happy Birthday Thomas!
Happy Birthday! When I turned 40, I told everyone I was 30-10, so happy 30-12th birthday!
Happy Purrday!! Enjoy your day! You have turned 21 twice!
Does that mean that you get in on “Two for Tuesday” night for free? 😎
I WISH!
🙂
T
Make it a BIG wish!!
Happy Happy Day to you
Happy Birthday Thomas and wishing you many more. I hope your future will be filled with love and friends to share it with human and furry.
Happy Birthday to you…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! THOMAS, wishing you a purrrfect day!!

Happy Birthday Thomas! Enjoy your special day.
Happy birthday, Thomas! May all your birthday wishes come true!
You’re just a youngster, still. Happy b-day!
Sorry to hear that, Hobbes is a very beautiful kitten and will always be. In the picture, Hobbes look like hes saying man Ive been caught am i in trouble
Oh. And Happy Birthday!
So sad he is no longer with us—what a beautiful face.
What a sweetie. His eyes say it all! 🙂
Hobbes is so cute. So sorry he is no longer with us. They leave us, much too soon. Bless his little heart. May he have happy days playing in the Rainbow’s bridge.
I added Trixie to catster. Trying to see if my name turns pink.
Trixie is an absolute doll! My 3 fuzzbutts left her some treats and an invite to be friends!!
How did you get your name to turn pink?? My Kittyman’s on Catster but don’t know how to get my name pink!!
Hi LeeAnne
Just paste your Catster URL into the URL box before the comments box…
He IS a cutie. My Hobbes is jealous!
Hi LeeAnne,
Thanks for the invite and treats for Trixie! She would be delighted to be friends. Do I need to respond to the invite? I’m kinda new at all this.
Hi Mary, I believe you just have to accept my invite when Catster emails ya. I’m new to Catster also, but after a few invites, I finally figured out what to do! I’m so computer illiterate, it’s almost sad……again, Trixie is adorable!
Hi LeeAnne, Catster seems to be pretty easy to use. I did have an email, but there is also a page on Catster where you can accept. I kinda stumbled on it by accident, so please don’t ask me where that page is!
Happy Birthday Thomas! LeeAnne, your name is Pink! I have to get my gang on catster, as soon as I learn how to download pictures into the computer. 🙁
I feel your pain Mom to Tiga and the gang!! Took me FOREVER to actually get a digital camera, figure it out and be able to get the pictures on the computer. Now I have to figure out how to get them out of the computer and on a disc…..All this “tech stuff” drives me nuts…..I’m just thrilled I got my boys on Catster and my name in pink……woohoo!
It’s taking longer because I’m not letting my Hubs help, cause he’s the guru, and does things too fast for me to follow. If I do it myself, I learn ‘better’. Oh well, I just have to RTFM. 🙂
Trixie is adorable Mary! Your description fits my Killian to a T! Little & fierce!
How beautiful! And what a lucky girl to have found a way to you. She certainly know how to lead someone to what she wants! I left her a treat she’s such a spunky love!
Hobbes is adorable. I am so sorry for your loss. I bet he will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge.
hi everybody, how are you all? I’m doing much better the bleeding stopped, but I still have some pain,on the the level from one to ten I’d say I’m at a 5.Hey how about today’s kitten what a little sweetie.
Hi Elaine, hope you start feeling much better soon. At a 5, you’re half way there….kitty kisses and headbonks to you…
Hello Elaine,
Hope you feel better really soon!
Hugs and Purrrss to youi!!!
Elaine remember to take it easy–you need time to heal. I am sending healing prayers your way. I also pray that your pain will subside. You have been through so much you need healing and peace.
Tiger, Scratch, Cecelia send lots of purrs and headbutts to help you feel better!
Elaine, glad the bleeding has stopped. But pain is the bodies way of saying STOP! So take it easy and let the world take care of itself. Think of it as an extended (but very bad) holiday! Again I am so glad your feeling better. Head bonks from my boys.
–That’s great news Elaine–Wishing you continued healing
Whoa! Elaine! glad you’re doing better, but please take it easy and get lots of rest for the next couple of weeks! Now is the time of healing. If you rush it it will take longer to heal. Take care!
Hobbes is a sweet little sugar kitten. Sorry to hear he has passed. Thank you for sharing this cute photo of your mischevious Hobbes.
Hi all, I am back from Kentucky….whew what a drive……..I am very sad today, as I try to be as supportive of Josh on the inside I am scared……..He leaves for dessert training soon …………We had a scare yesterday, I am driving had been for 6 hours and Jack called to say ryan my moron son inlaw let James and Elija out………..James came sauntering back but it took 5 hours to find Elija, we sent our best hound out (lol Molly daushound) and he came right up to her..apparently he found the community of ferral cats and had a visit…………..when I came home he was exhausted and VERY glad to see me LOL I even recieved rare Elija kisses…………..WHEW………………..I am so tired but trying to get through this day……….take care and hugs
Hey Brandi!! Welcome back! Supportive thoughts sent your way for Josh and thank God your babies are home safe….I would of absolutely FREAKED out! I panic when Harley D sneaks into the garage….and the door is closed! My fuzzbutts couldn’t “hang” outside, they wouldn’t handle getting their paws dirty!!
Hi Brandy, I’ll keep your Josh in my prayers for his safe return. It is very scary when your kitties get away. Sometimes Trixie will hide in the hostas or under the shed in the backyard. Three times now she’s been chilling in our neighbor’s back yard. I swear while I’m combing the back yard looking for her she’s under a hosta laughing at me!
Brandi,
I have a dauchshund too–wirehaired, picked her up when she was 3 weeks old in Germany. My husbands first cat Mendon raised him. She loves cats–wants to eat kittens and hisses and barks at dogs. Lissy is totally messed up. We call her a dauchscat instead. I am glad Molly was able to lead you to Elija!
On a more serious note, I will pray everyday for the safety of your son. I know that fear and there is so little I could ever say to ease any of it. Please know that there are so many that are praying for men and women that are in the face of this danger. Their prayers are also with their families at home. Peace be with you during this time.
–Brandi–Glad you got home safe,& that your babies are safe. And Bless Josh & what he is doing for us in the U.S.A May God watch close over him & his service buddies & bring them home safe & sound. Hugs & Purrs to you.
Brandi,
I feel your pain, sort of. My children are serving and I have my accident prone one in Afgahnistan right now. Janell was the one that when all heck broke loose it ran over her!
What is Josh’s MOS? Do you know where he will be stationed? My youngest is a Marine and I won’t find out where she’s going until June 21. My boy will be going to Iraq in December, maybe. We can find strength in eachother. If you want to write me anytime, you can find me at MehendiRhino at yahoo dot com.
Rosie that is quite a group you have! I pray for their safety as well. May they return safe and secure and be with you again in peace.
thank you all for the klind words……Rosie, he will be in the triangle of death……..he is a 11 bravo
Why do they give them names like that?! Is the media trying to tramatize the families AND the soldiers?! Illegitimate child rectal orafaces!!! I just keep thinking, more people get hurt in car wrecks right here at home than get hurt over there. Also, these days they seem more intent in killing each other.
Hang in there, hon. We’re thinking of you and of him. God bless you both.
Brandi, I hope you had a good time in my home state. I will keep your son in my prayers along with all of our brave people serving in the military
thank you ppearson……
I know what you’re going through. Both of my sons are in the military and one is going overseas and the other is at Edwards Airforce Base. It’s hard when you’re a mom and you can’t protect your kids.
*hugs* and headbonks from the fur babies
How are you doing today? By the way it is moms like you that give military members the strength to do what they do. And most importantly they are the ones that seem to have an uncanny ability to make the military spouse at home hold it together. God Bless You!
Georgies mama….. I am humbled, I only have one in…….there are thousands of moms out there going thru the same thing……………..I have never felt smaller, and at a loss on how to act or feel………..I served my country also but it feels different sending my last born to war…..My prayer are with you also.
Brandi, Although I feel that none of our precious soldiers should have been sent to Iraq, I as an American know that a soldier is duty bound to go where he or she is sent. I hope and pray for their safe return. May your son come home soon without any harm.
thank you Caddycat :)…. I served my country for 9 years ….so I know about duty to my country……… just wish it was not my last born going now.
oh and in case anyone would like to see a pic there are new ones on myspace http://www.myspace.com/brandilynlee
its a boy is my daughter Jessica and quiet zone is Christina my eldest
Lovely baby. I couldn’t look at that face and not want to kiss him.
Such a face! I’m so sorrry he was with you for such a short time.
Hi Brandi,
Glad you are safely back. So sorry about Josh…. My heart breaks for you.
Thankfully your two babies are safe!
Many hugs to you sweetie!!! 🙂
thank you ms bumblebee , its people like you that get me thru the hard days 🙂
oooh! oooh! ooooh! Is my name pink??? Thanks Judy!!
If it is, please check out my handsome boys on catster…..
Handsome handsome and more handsome.
Hi LeeAnne, Yay! You’re pink too! I sent your boys an invite and treats from Trixie.
What wonderful black and whites! Love them. My daughter has 3 black and whites George Nicky and Nora. They all have such cattitudes.
How exciting! I love the little black spot on his nose! What a handsome fuzzy man you have. thanks for sharing.
Hobbes eyes could melt even the coldest heart. He is just adorable and I’m sure he kept you warm and was very loved for the 12 + years he was in your life!
He’s so sweet! Sorry to hear he’s gone, but I’m glad you had each other.
***Cute Puppies Being Used to Scam People Out of Money***
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,276081,00.html
People can be so dumb. Free, $500 S&H, Nigeria, and no alarm bells??
Shame on them! Taking advantage of people with good hearts. GRRRR!
Okay, first people fall for lambs being sold as poodles and now this. Who said a fool and his money are soon parted?
The lamb/poodle scam was a myth. Untrue. This is a real scam! Rosie, This is an updated Nigerian scam. Pooey on them, exploiting people, but shame shame on the willing victims, looking for a bargain.
What a sweet baby, my what big ears you have, did he ever grow into those audio scopes? Gorgeous darlin’.
Passes aspirin and another pot of coffee around. Puts boxes of Krispie Kremes on the table, but get this, not hung over from partying (didnt even make a one Wild Cow!!) but the kids pool attacked on the adults wore us out. Draggin to work this am, fighting to get some work done.
The weather in KY was just beautiful. Got all kinds of yard and house projects done, sister and brother inlaw with their 5 kids their daughter in law and 1 mo old, in for the weekend, so brother in law and I get in attics, crawl spaces, fix it plumbing small carpentry jobs and put in a permanant bird feeder to torment our 8 month b/w kitty. Morris our orangie is 9 and could careless about birdfeeders, hence why be got cockatiels and 8 parakeets. Oh we gained two squirrels in our tree this weekend, My husband encouraged that!! So the menagerie grows! Ever make a whirlpool? 4 kids 2 adults in an above ground average size pool, gets the water current moving in one direction, every body walking the same way around and around, faster and faster, then someone yells reverse!! OMG the current was like being in a river, so we spoke about water safety on bridges and river banks especially in flash flood areas, then asked the how they felt that instant you stop and turn around, how scary it was not to have control in the water. but all was fun we turned around and did it a bunch more. lol
Kitty report is Morris and Hollie hid most of the weekend from the little kids, but came out mornings and at night fall for poking around checking things out and laying around after the kids were asleep.
Welcome back to the real world…..
Audio scopes? That is hysterical. I’ve heard them called frootbat ears, but audio scopes is new.
Catawba, Where in KY are you? I am in the Western part of the state. It certainly was beautiful here. I had friends visiting with a 2 1/2 year old and an almost 5 year old. I didn’t see two of my babies except at night all weekend. I stressed to the boys that my bedroom was strictly off-limits and if they went in there after the cats they would lose all pop-sicle and snack privileges for the rest of the visit. Fortunately they listened and kept the trauma to the non-social cats to a minimum. Gracie on the other hand had to keep her eyes on the boys at all times, but kept just out of hands reach. She knows that if they are too little to sit still then they are too little to pet her the way she likes.
Louisville, by transplant, raised in eastern part of the state. What a fun weekend of kids and sun. Playing goalie with kids and cats can be difficult, Andrew is allergic and is ultimately drawn to petting every cat he can get near. Nice to hear from you ppearson have a great day.
Hobbes – he looks absolutely so smart – I’m sure he was a love – glad to read you had him for over 12 years. Greetings to all TDK’rs and hope you all had a wonderful, safe, holiday weekend. Spent mine on the couch with 4 cats – we have a rotation schedule for the other two since only 4 can fit in with mom – and watched Soprano reruns. Was so comfortable and cozy I passed on the yard work for another weekend !!
That sounds like the absolute best way to spend a long weekend. Purrs all around!!
What a sweet little face!
Melts my heart!
Can’t forget the little white paws.
**squishes paws**
Oh little Hobbes, you are gone, I am sad 🙁
seriously barf-bag cute! I hope have found someone new in the feline department to share your love with.
Very funny!!! And cute. My cats love to play in boxes.
Poor thing–he must have died awfully young…he is so goshdarned cute..
Oops, I see you had him 12 years–still too short but better than I first thought. G
Just saw this story, how terribly, terribly sad……
http://www.yahoo.com/s/591677
I agree, very very sad. It must be a pretty desperate situation to kill your own children and yourself. My heart goes out to the family of this poor individual and children.
what a cutie pie! I’m sorry for your loss….I just recently had to put down my 12-year old kitty due to longstanding liver disease. It’s so heartbreaking, but we go on….I have other trouble makers to keep me busy and love on! I hope you do too!
what a loveing little fur ball, sorry he no longer with you.
How old was Hobbes when he died? What happened to him?
Hey all. Sorry, been preoccupied today
My family needs your prayers. My grandfather’s health has suddenly started to decline very rapidly. The doctor’s don’t know what is wrong with him. He is very confused and having hallucinations. They don’t think it is dementia, but they really don’t have a clue. All they can do is run tests. He’s never been so helpless. Last year, he could scoop my son into his arms. Now he can’t get himself out of a chair.
Oh Meezermama, my prayers and good thoughts are with you and yours. That is such a sad situation. Keep your chin up.
my thoughts and prayers are with you, MM. My grandmother is in failing health as well, so I feel you. Try to smile and think of the good times.
T
MeezerMama, positive thoughts and prayers headed your way for your Grandfather. It’s so hard to see Grandparents age, just saw my Grandmother at Mother’s Day and it just broke my heart. She was able to feed herself last Christmas, but now she can’t….
My thoughts are with you and keep us posted OK??
Meezer Mama,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Nothing is harder than waiting and hoping when a loved one is ill. Good thoughts and hope are coming your way. Your granddad will be in my heart all day.
MeezerMama–My blessed prayers for your Grandfather. Hope they can find the problem soon,& solution.
Oh Meezermama how terrible! Many strong possitive energies to you and your grandfather. Clarifying energy to the doctors so they can find the problem and fix it. How hard for you. Head bonks and purrs for you and grandpa from my boys.
So sad to see somebody’s health go. Headbutts and purrs and good thoughts.
Sorry about your grandfather. Sounds like he has an infection of somekind. They can be hard to pinpoint. Also, is he on any medication? Heart meds? Some medications will create effects of dememtia. A co-workers mother just went thourgh it. They took her off of some meds and she is back on track. She spent a couple of weeks in rehab getting back to normal. The ederly are why over medicated these days.
He is on several. That is something they are supposed to be testing for while he in in the hospital. I don’t know what specifically, but he is on heart medication.
I can’t begin to tell you how angry I am at the medical community as a whole for throwing medication at symptoms rather than seeking the cause. Ans also for failing to look at the whole picture before giving drugs.
Thank you. I try to tell him, but a grandfather will only take so much advice from his granddaughter.
Hi MeezerMama, I certainly agree w/ you about the elderly being way overmedicated. So besides medication interactions even something as simple as a urinary tract infection can land a senior citizen in the hospital, they either don’t have or don’t recognize the usual symptoms.
This happened to my dad last year. I’ll be praying for your grandfather and hoping it’s something simple.
One more thing. If he is taking a lot of medications you can look them up on-line and read about side effects. That’s what my friend at work did and she just kept asking if it could be the meds after MRI’s and all kinds of tests.
Thoughts and prayers and headbonks from this part of the world.
MeezerMama you have my prayers. Has he had any resiratory problems? I ask because my Grandmother had a lack of oxygen and began to hallucinate. I pray for healing for your Grandfather and peace and reassurance for you.
Make sure a Pharmacist and doctor evaluate ALL prescriptions, over the counter meds, and vitamins and supplements he’s taking. This description fits what happened to my grandmother, and recently to my mother. Have the same person check when, and how he takes EVERYTHING. Some meds interact with each other and others need to be taken with or without food. We all thought my mom was fine at following directions, but she was taking half doses, and totally forgot one med, and another was rendered useless by when she took it, and when she ate. the doctor doesn’t know everything your grandfather takes and how he takes it, I guarentee it.
Oh I am certain he doesn’t. Thankfully, what they are supposed to be doing at the hospital is monitoring everything that goes in and then what comes back out and what it does while it is there. I just pray that they can get to the bottom of it.
MeezerMama……I so concur with what Mom to Tiga said. We as children and grandchildren, can’t be with our parent or grandparent, on every Dr. visit. When the “patient” is happy with the Dr. or the new Dr., it is a relief for all concerned. It is without saying, that most eldery patients will not question, or ask questions concerning their medications, or what effects will happen when different meds are taken at the same time. The eldery are so trusting to their medical provider, they won’t ask why this, or why that. And also, sometimes a new Dr. will not know of the meds that were previously prescribed. (It happens!!) MM, you didn’t say how old your grandfather was, but it sounded like his down slide was fairly recent. It’s a blessing that you are close by….question everything, ( for some reason I know you will!!)
Opps! misspelled “elderly”…twice…..hand/eye are not what they used to be……..as well as other things !!!!
Has he been put on dilantin by any chance? My grandmother was in a nursing home and after a seizure they put her on dilantin and accidently had her dosaeg way too high. She started hallucinating and her skin looked like it was crawling. My mother, who objected to the dilantin in the first place recognized the signs of an overdose and made them call EMS. If she hadn’t been there and been so well informed, my grandmother would have probably died. Have them really look at what meds he might have been given and if the symptoms are a result of an overdose.
You’ve got my prayers. Purrs and gentle headbonks from my kits.
Just got here MeezerMama, our prayers are with you.
MeeserMama,
make sure they do liver test, father in law, had pancreatitus and they diagnosed heart, almost lost him, took to a country dr, who found boils, liver gases, and he dementiaed and came out of it with resolultion of right meds. Many many love and prayers and skill of dr.’s. today
He’s gorgeous – what a little face! Those eyes…..
I’m so glad he spent his time with you. I’m sorry for your loss, but glad that you are still holding him in your heart.
Sandi

Stay strong everyone.
What a cute cat. he must be missed deeply.
Hello Alex,
Boy it has taken me a long time to get here today! Hobbs has such a sweet face doesn’t he? Now you know where those cartoon artists get that sympathy face from. As I said further up all he needs is a quivering lip to complete the look. Gigi is a lucky mama to have had such a sweet baby. And it seems no matter how big our babies get, we will always think of them as babies. Maybe it’s a mama thing. I know that even though my son is 23, married and 6 foot 5 inches, he’s still my little man. Can’t help it every time I look at him I remember that itty bitty baby I carried home from the hospital. Mom’s are funny. I wonder if dads are the same way. Maybe you can ask yours. Maybe dads are that way with girls and moms are that way with boys. It always suprises me to see my girls look so grown up and although I have a hard time thinking of them as women, they aren’t babies to me. Maybe because Jack was my first, I don’t know. Which is another thing about grown ups, we may know alot about life, but we don’t know everything, even about ourselves. So how was your weekend? Did you eat lots of good food? It rained everyday except Monday. I spent the whole time painting my cottage/apartment. My bathroom is now blue and my kitchen is sun-shiny gold. I didn’t even have a bar-b-que, which is the first time in years my honey didn’t build a fire on the weekend. I made pasta with little meat balls. Not very traditional but good just the same. Was the weather good by you? Did family come over, or go visit them? Did you go anywhere special? Do you have any family traditions? My basketball team won, Go Spurs Go! Have a great day, and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
Your DK friend,
Rosie
Guess what!!! my nephew just called me at work (he’s done with school and is kitten sitting the new babies) and told me that 2 of the 5 littlest fur butts have their eyes open!!! How exciting is that!!!!!
Yeehaw! they’ll be doing the lizard walk all over the place soon. I always think that jerky back and forth sort of walk they do as infants reminds me of a Chameleon. My honey says they hold their tails like antena, all they need is a Jack-in-the-Box ball on the end!
😆
lizard walk
That was funny Rosie. Thanks for the laugh
Very–enjoy them!
Calvin and FUZZ
What a lil FUZZbutt!

I just returned from fresno CA and when I saw this kitten it brought tears to my eyes. This plea goes to anyone living in the fresno area willing to rescue a cat from a dangereous living situation. I sated at the Red Roof Inn on Shaw street by the 99 freeway. My room was on the west/back side of the hotel that faced the 99 freeway. living in the bushes is a very pale ginger color tabby cat he is neutered male he is leary of people but IS NOT feral he has been someones pet. I was able to coax him into my room ( I was in ground floor room) once he settled down after a little bit he is a very loving sweet cat I had to let him out since there are no cats allowed in the rooms. I went to walmart and bought a carrier and was going to bring him home with me but saturday night at the hotel was very noisey and busy and he stayed hidden and i looked for him earliy sunday morning when I was packing to go but didnt see him as I was pulling out of the parking lot I saw him but I was already late in leaving and couldn’t go back. This is a very busy area and it is only a matter of time before he will get hit by a car. He also sleeps in the bushes along the 99 freeway, in the bushes behind the schell station car wash and he hides around the stairs of the hotel. He main hangouts are the southwest corner of the red roof inn property. He really is a sweet cat and I have regretted letting him back out but he had to potty since I had feed him good and I needed to run to walmart to get supplies. SO please if anyone that see this can help this guy. I tried to contact “cat house on the kings†but they say they are full no room for anymore and dont know of anyother “no kill†shelters in the area. this cat is a grown up version of the very sweet Archibald….update I did email the “cat house on the kings” but havent heard anything from them
awww so sorry for your loss 🙁 Hobbes looks like a little sweetie pie. he looks so innocent like ‘how’d i get in here?’ lol…i’m sure he brought you much joy 🙂
He’s got the M on his forhead. It shows the mark of a true Tabby, I’m told. He was beautiful. Now he has his cat wings in heaven.
Hobbes was just the coolest kit
And a gorgeous tabby cat
But its hard to make a rhyme with wit
When the bridge is where sweet Hobbes is at.
Athena, at least you did what you could, and the cat was happier when he left you than before. Be at peace. Perhaps someother kind person will take up where you left off.
*totally speechless … heart completely melted by those eyes*
Just look at those ears! He’s a cutiepie! So sorry to hear he passed away. I know how heart-breaking that can be.
JCL
That’s a GRRRREAT picture!

You really touched me with your love for your kitty. I recently had to let my girl of 19 years go. She had a long long life, but I’m selfish and I want more. Bless your baby!
