ahhhh – the little sweetie, sounds like he left this world way too soon. he’s adorable
he is such a cutie!
kitties with orange coloring are my favorite!
it’s amazing the joy kitties provide! i know the feeling of loss all too well – i always look through the snap shots of all my kiddos…always a guarantee on putting a smile on my face!
What an adorable kitty! I am so sorry for your loss! Timmy looks quite young in the picture….how heartbreaking. He was fortunate to be with someone who clearly loved him dearly! My best to you.
timmy was a darling! im so sorry you lost him. i know you will think of him often with love. i lost my darling mr moosie 2 years ago and i still think of him every day
Oh he’s beautiful. It’s so hard to let them go, especially when so young. Blessings to you.
i’m so sorry for your loss.
he was a beautiful little guy.
at least you gave him a good home with lots of love while he was around, and made his short life the best it could be.
r.
I am so sorry that you lost Timmy. He’s just adorable in this photo. I’m sure that Timmy waits for you at the Rainbow Bridge. I have a few of my beloved kitties waiting there for me, too.. Let’s see… Coco, Chee-Chee, Chee-Choi, Lyndon, Freud, and Mary… keep Timmy company until we meet you there! 🙂
cutie pie cat
Hugs to you for the loss of your precious Timmy. Gorgeous cat.
Oh what a little sweetheart. You must miss him terribly. I’m so sorry you lost him. I’m sure my kitty Lena is showing him where the steaks grow on trees.
What a pretty guy. Though his life was short, I’m sure he was loved.
I just love that look on his face!!
RIP TIMMY!
XOXOXOX
~ j
As my mum told me when my kitten died in November, “He was put on this planet to have 1 loving family…. and you were the one who gave him the love”.
I think most of us knows what you felt about your lost. (For example: Fiyero and me, my best friend’s dad and my best friend, etc.!!!)
i know i love kittens with all my heart i have 7
He looks so sweet!! I’m sorry that you lost your Timmy. It’s so hard to deal with something like that. Thinking of you.
Sweet little peanut. As with everyone else, I am sorry you lost such a little ham. I hope you find love in another kitty to help you remember the good times with Timmy.
What a cutie.
My thoughts are with you at this time of your loss.
Remember how much joy he brought to you during your time together. It will get you through the pain.
My heart aches at the loss of you dear kitty. I hope that when you’re strong enough that you venture into a rescue shelter and give another deserving cat – or dog, or whatever! – a deserving home.
I’m SO SAD now!
Oh! What a sweetie Timmy was! I’m so sorry you lost him.
I know he was very much loved.
I’m so sorry for your loss of Timmy…he was way too young!
What a cutie he was! He’ll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.
i am so sorry for your loss. i understand how much it still hurts. i recently lost one of my “boys”. he was only 12-1/2. way too young. was an absolute angel. still is to me.
What a puff ball of love. I feel your loss. I just put down a beloved Pie Dude in February and my sister’s cat passed away Friday.
ORANGE ANGEL FUZZ
This picture of Timmy is so adorable. I’m so sorry for your loss. What a sweetheart he must have been!
SAMANTHA (from yesterday’s post): PLEASE LET US KNOW WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED. LOTS OF US WOULD BE WILLING TO HELP WITH THE MAMA AND BABY. SEE THE REPLIES AFTER YOUR POST YESTERDAY AND CONTACT ANY OF US THROUGH OUR LINKS, OR LET US KNOW HOW WE CAN CONTACT YOU. WE ALL WANT TO HELP!
Bless you and Timmy. So sorry he left for the Rainbow Bridge so soon. According to Babynames.com, Timothy means “To Honor God”. God just called for him a little too soon…..
There is no pain as relentless as grief; even the memories cannot comfort you – quite the opposite. You are in my prayers.
Bless you and Timmy. Have you ever read “Cat Heaven” by Cynthia Rylant? Lovely book, guaranteed to make you smile and cry all at the same time. It’s her premise that God has a really big countertop where all our cat children hang out (and never a cross word for being up on the countertop, of course). I always think of my Loretta and Big on God’s countertop, and now Timmy’s with them.
I’m tearing up just thinking about it. What a wonderful book and thought. Thanks for sharing–it helps all of us who have recently lost a kitty.
I’m so sorry you lost your beloved Timmy, may he rest in peace. He was a beauty.
Such a cutie! I’m sure you miss him. I have a beautiful cat just like him. Before him I had a cat which passed away. I know how it feels. Hopefully little Timmy is happier now.
What a pretty fellow, such an inquisitive expression!
I bet he was a good snuggler and a barrel of monkeys too.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Each kitty is so unique, its terrible to lose one.
I’m so sorry for your loss. You may not have him, but you have the memories. It’s been 3 years since I lost my last cat Larry. I think about him quite often and I do shed a tear.
See if you can find the poem “The Rainbow Bridge”. It will bring tears to your eyes, but joy knowing that someday you will see Timmy again.
God bless you and all of the 4 leggers.
Good suggestion, Mark. This is a beautiful poem. I’ve attached another poem, as well.
*Rainbow Bridge*
Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies, one who has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends where they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone who was very special to them, someone they had to leave behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The eyes are bright and intent, the eager little body begins to quiver all over! Suddenly that lucky one breaks away from the group, and flies over the green grass, little legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands once again caress that beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together. . . .
*If It Should Be….*
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done
For this, the last battle, can’t be won.
You will be sad, I understand
Don’t let your grief then stay your hand
For this day, more than the rest
Your love and friendship stand the test.
We’ve had so many happy years
What is to come can hold no fears
You’d not want me to suffer so
When the time comes, please let me go.
I know in time you will see
It is a kindness you do to me
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don’t grieve it should be you
Who has to decide this thing to do
We’ve been so close – we two these years
Don’t let your heart hold any tears.
Oh that’s it….I’m done for now! And I’m out of tissues here at work!
Oh, man, that poem made me tear up at work.
What a beautiful kitty. I’m sorry for your loss. Timmy reminds me of my two tiger-striped buddies.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your furbaby. Timmy looks like a sweet soul. I’m sure you spent as many happy moments together as you could. Just know he’s watching and waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.
I like this poem… I read it whenever I start missing my Teddy Bear.
*I STOOD BESIDE YOUR BED LAST NIGHT*
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
“It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.”
I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you, that I’m not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said “It’s me.”
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It’s possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, “I never went away.”
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew …
in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over… I smile and watch you yawning
and say “Goodnight, God bless, I’ll see you in the morning.”
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out … then come home to be with me.

Cathi,
Now I can’t stop crying. I miss *my* kitten Satellite —
But am thankful I have my Precious — promise to give her some extra love tonight.
Cathi—-I love that poem. I’ve never read that one. (Note to self: BUY WATERPROOF MASCARA!)
Dee and Mary, I found that poem at the following site. Every once in awhile when I really miss my Teddy Bear, I torture myself by going to this site. There are soooo many sad, mushy, never – forget me poems, by the time I’m done reading I’m a basket case.
I sometimes think its morbid, but other times I think a good cry is ok.

What a sweet heart! Thank you for sharing your memories!
What a sweet little Timmy. So glad he had a loving family even if his time was so short on this earth. Thank you for loving and giving him a good home. God Bless you, and little Timmy will live on in your heart.
*Looking back from the rainbow bridge FUZZ*
awww how did he pass on? I had two cats that died…one got run over by a car and one got eaten by a coyote :'[. Now I only have my babies inside!
*Blue skies in heaven FUZZ*
i am so sorry for your loss. it is never easy to lose a precious member of the family. Timmy is absolutely beautiful.
We lost our beautiful Chow named Tangey in March she was loving and stately as your Timmy was, I’m sure. You have my sympathy, and I admire you for sharing. metka
I’m so sorry for your loss. Timmy was and is beautiful.
Like METKA, I admire you for your ability (and generosity) to share him with us.
Awww, I was looking at this post today and I want to thank everybody for trying to make Timmy’s parents feel better. I had bad news from the vet today, and some of the things said made me feel so much better. I love that there are people to turn to who can understand and sympathize. It doesn’t make it any easier, but it helps to make it better. Thanks!
We are so sorry to hear of your loss! Timmy was such an adorable little baby. Our dear Mitsy passed away in 2003 and we were heartbroken. It does get easier with time, and there will always be a special place in your heart for Timmy. Both our babies are safe in the arms of Jesus….please know and believe this! 🙂
The tears are flowing and I can only offer my sympathy. Timmy was a handsome youg man and it’s too sad that he has left you way too soon. I’m sure he had lots of love and gave you much joy. Each cat or kitten is an individual and they are all special. I sure that he was grateful for the time he had with you. Thank you for sharing the adorable picture.
Tears are running down my face and I have a lump in my throat reading all these poems. I have a picture of Newton on my computer and on my refrigerator to which I say good morning to every day. I miss him very much but the daily pain does ease with time until you read stories and poems that rush all the pain back. My Newton is burried under a beautiful walnut tree in our back yard that I can see from my kitchen window. He has a bird feeder near his little grave (he loved watching the birdies) from his favorite chair in the den.
I know Timmy is safe with all the other furr-babies that went on to the Rainbow Bridge. Remember…the fun mornings with him, feeding time, his silly ways to play, his special chairs and his hiding places. If you hold all these memories close to your heart, you never lose him, you’re just temporarily parted.
🙂 Love you Newton (we miss you)
It is very difficult to lose precious kitty family members. My heart is with you. But from experience, I know that sweet memories will remain… love is always a mixed blessing.
I am so sorry about little Timmy, I lost my sweet boy in February and the pain is still so intense. Say strong.
So sorry about Timmy. He reminds me of my Clancy cat. Clancy died at 15 but he stayed a young cat up to the end. I had him longer than my children, and frequently told them he was my first kid! (jus to give them a hard time). He was like a person. Cats, and all animals are a true gift and blessing to be loved, cared, and appreciated. God bless.
Cynthia
Timmy is such a lovely little baby….I know that he is keeping St. Francis (patron of all animals) company and putting lots of smiles on his face and nipping at his toes! 🙂
*Bless his heart and yours*
I can’t stop crying. I’m sorry for little Timmy sweetie!
I’m so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain, for I too lost 2 of my kitties about 2 years ago. I am still sad when I think about them, but then I remember the joy and laughter they brought me….now they are with God and I will see them in the afterlife. God Bless.
