What a lucky little girl your Bella is! So touching to hear her story when it could have anded in tragedy.
You should rename her “Lucky”! Bless your boyfriend for saving her and bless you for keeping her.
Ah Bella….she is beautiful…Besame mi Bella! Bless your boyfriend who rescued her, and you both for loving her and giving her a home!
What an adorable little calico sweetie! Bless you for rescuing this cute little kitty.
PS: Yay! Third comment!
Bella is beautiful. And so is your boyfriend! (Hold on to a guy who will stop traffic to save an animal.) Bella is the perfect damsel in distress. And your boyfriend was her hero….
Many years of happiness to you all.
DITTO what Dee said! Precious! Yippee! May you live long lives of Happiness and Prosperity.
*speed bump FUZZ*
Oh she’s so sad looking. Simply beautiful.
Thankyou for rescuing her.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed this week on their locations, city, state or country. I will put a list on here beginning of the week to let everyone get an idea how far FUZZ love reaches.
Chester—
Thanks so much for doing that—-really interested in the results….
Hope this isn’t too late

Chester—
I know GraziKitty comes from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She hasn’t been home recently, so she hasn’t updated her site or visited TDK.
This is her link
http://grazikitty.blogger.com.br/
I talk to her from time to time online. So please add her also.
Check out her site too. She has links to many pet shelters and is always urging people to adopt cats from there. I love her website and check it out almost as much as TDK.
I couldn’t understand it at first, but she suggested a translation website (Portuguese to English) and that has taken the guess work out of viewing her site.
Bella is absolutely gorgeous. I love Calico!
Chester, the power of the fuzz reaches me all the way in the Antipodes!
Where in the world is the Antipodes???
Most of my Kitties were rescue cats. Either from the pound or out from under the hood of a car. Also just took in several strays. My house was the area flop house it seemed. Any stray in the area turned up there. Some even more than once. I would call around, find who was missing a cat & return them. Never returned one more than once though. Figured if it was happy it wouldn’t keep running off. So I would find them a new home. Before anybody says it the owners never came to see if their missing cat came back to my place. So I figuerd it would be ok to place them somewhere they would be happy.
Antipodes Island is part of New Zealand. It is also uninhabited.Seems somebody is having a bit of fun with us.
It’s not that I am so brilliant. Just googled it. :))
Actually, the Antipodes is more commonly used as a term for Australia, New Zealand and the area. So maybe someone from Australia is visiting the site.
Hi just thought that i would add mine for you. Hilliard Fla. take care…….talk to you later…..
My first kitten an all black little bundle of sweetness was rescued by my brother in a rain storm. Shadow was in the middle of the street stopping traffic he got out put in the backseat and then brought her home to me. Two years earlier my parents had gotten rid of my dog while I was on vacation so while they were on vacation I got a kitty. Turn about fair play!
Bless your boyfriend for rescuing her! She’s such a lovely little lady. 🙂
Bella is beautiful! I love how your boyfriend stopped traffic to rescue her. I have done similar before. Poor baby wouldn’t have survived very long if he hadn’t. I’m glad you have adopted her too. She deserves a life of luxury after the start she had.
This is laugh out loud funny!
*Top Ten Threats to National Security As Seen By Cats*
By Subbes
According to a Meow Poll, 83% of American cats are concerned about national security. Catnabbit! interviewed several felines about their greatest fears, and here are the top ten concerns of cats in regards to national security:
Foreign Cats — Immigration gets everyone’s fur ruffled, and not for any small reason. No cat enjoys an invasion of his territory. They smell bad, they have poor habits, they constantly cause trouble, and they look funny. Their invasion of our space causes much fighting and war. They should just stay home so we can all nap in peace.
Human Children — Tiny humans, also known as “babies,” are an instant enemy of cats due to their inherent need to pull on fur, legs, feet, and tails. Given the chance, these creatures would most likely disassemble us and chew on our appendages as though we were fried chickens. These terrorists must be stopped. It’s long been a myth that we cats try to steal the breath of babies. If they would stop using our tails as teething rings, we might try to compromise.
String — The War on String has been a long, uphill battle. Earlier this year, a feline celebrity named Brach almost succumbed to the wounds of combat but in the end he was victorious. String is a dangerous threat to all cats and will try to choke us to death if we do not take it down!
Drugs — Misguided humans are continuously told “Just Say No” in regards to drugs, but still they turn around and try to shove pills down our throats. For what reason? For cats’ health? Don’t they know we can take care of ourselves? Do not be fooled by pills that are wrapped in a disguise as treats for cats. Drugs are bad because they are poison to our bodies. The chemicals of so-called “medication for cats” cloud the mind and it takes hours of licking our rears to get the taste out of our mouths.
Water Guns — Also known as “Super Soakers,” these gadgets are WMD’s disguised as toys for humans. Do not allow your pet human to posess one under any circumstances. There is an electronic chip implanted in it that beams thoughts into your human’s head, compelling him to spray water at you. Do your best to remove the chip and dispose of the evidence.
Transportation — This includes crates, pet carriers, and car rides. They lead down paths of evil. Cats in the middle east have done their part by trying to raise oil prices so that humans will stop taking cats on car rides. So far, it’s working a little, but we must remain vigilant in our refusal to ride in a vehicle. If you must travel, travel on foot.
Birds, Rodents & Insects — Three terrorist groups who are serious about bringing famine and plague to our nation. It is known worldwide that the birds have plotted to spread disease to the ends of the earth and every country has to take measures to prevent their population from falling victim to them. Just this week a group of field mice and other rodents were caught in a bio terrorism plot to spread bubonic plague in Utah. Luckily no cats were harmed.
American Veterinary Association — The single worst terrorist organization of all time. Their prime weapons of terror are the thermometer, the needle, and that thing they do to male cats at a young age. Who cares if it’s necessary? It’s painful! These men and women subsist, nay, thrive on the affliction of the feline species. They shave us to expose our bodies before they conduct strange experiments and attempt to trap our souls while we sleep. Avoid them.
Sofas — Also known as a love seat, lazy boy, or couch, the sofa is a mammoth of an enemy which cats have been trying to exterminate for centuries. Thousands of cats have suffered injuries and even mortal ruin due to being swallowed or crushed by the jaws of a lazy boy. To this day, there is still no verifiable method of overthrowing furniture, for cats. Cats must approach — and shred — with caution.
The Vacuum Cleaner — As we have stated previously: The Vacuum Cleaner is an unholy Beast which terrorizes all houses, apartments, condos, and other homes at least twice per week. In some unfortunate circumstances, the home’s Beast may reveal itself more frequently, especially if the house is occupied by a “neat freak” or an especially messy individual. Long-haired cats seem to be plagued by more visits from the unholy Vacuum Cleaner, although short-haired cats are far from exempt from such unholy terrors. In fact, there have been several instances where cats have been eaten by a hungry Vacuum Cleaner. The horrendous Vacuum Beast is a dangerous force which should not be approached under any circumstances — especially when it is awake.
Thanks Dee! I’v had root canal on a tooth. I look like a chipmunk and I am in pain. Laughing really helps! :))
Bella is bellissima! Hurrah for saving her 🙂
Bless you for saving that precious baby! She’s your gift from the kitty gods!!
Its really annoying that everyone else seems to find cute kitties but I never do *grumpy*
Nothing like a “saving private Bella” story to warm the heart 😉
*Route 66 FUZZ!*
Hi! Cathi! Wow ! Bella is very bonita! Bella is veryyyyyyyy cute! God bless a lot your boyfriend!
Yup! Your boyfriend is a very kind person to take that kitten 🙂
omg i have a cat that looks excactly like urs like they look excakly a like and mine is named bella toooooo
I found two of my long ago cats as little kittens stuffed in a doorway mailbox. They were crying, I heard them and ran out in the rain to find them. The mailbox was a neighbor’s but I decided that anyone who would leave tiny kittens like that didn’t deserve to have them…They were among my feline companions for many years.
Sweet, lovely Bella, she does look a bit sad. I am sure not for long. She is very lucky to have found such wonderful people.
Please give her a belly kiss from me.
God Bless you all. :))
Has anyone heard more about Mercy, the little kitten who was thrown against a wall? I am going to try to donate to his recovery bills.
Is that somebody’s shoe on the right? What a teeny biki*! And so pretty.
It’s a miracle she wasn’t crushed under somebody’s wheels, poor thing. I have two ten-week-old babies that were found trying to cross a busy street about six weeks ago. A lady coming in the opposite direction stopped her car, and I hopped out and grabbed them.
Catherine
*biki=bitty kitty, a nickname I used to call my late, petite calico, Miranda, who passed away peacefully at 17 several years ago.
what a cutie! She will enjoy the life of love, ease, and luxury, instead of the alternative. T 🙂
Poor baby, how frightened she must have been. God bless you both for rescueing her and taking her in. Such a sweetie.
Sorry Chester didn’t see that part where you want to see where everyone is from. I will include it from now on.
That’s ok. Thanks for seeing & contributing.
Bella is such a sweetie. Glad your boyfriend rescued her. She deserves so much better than being left in the street. Every cat deserves to be loved and wanted. Hey Chester, I’m in Arkansas, if your interested in knowing.
Calico cats rule! The represent the unity of all cat races: white, yeller and black.
Your manfriend is a keeper if he rescues kittens from busy streets.
Kitty luv 4-eva!
THAT KITTEN IS SOOOOSOOO CUTE!!!
Chester – the Antipodes is the country on the opposite side of the earth from where you are. Sort of trhrough the middle on the diagonal axis. From UK it is Australia but I don’t know where it is from USA.
Bella’s benefactor! Her Knight of the Road must be a man and a half. My fellow rescues tired bumble bees-not as pretty as Bella but just as good a deed.
Beautiful kitty! It was grand of your bf to stop and save her. 😀 Many years of happiness and health to you all!
Did anyone see the kitten on CNN this morning? I think they said it was 6 weeks old and at a shelter. The back legs are malformed so she pulls herself along with her front paws pretty fast or the wildest thing is she will walk on her front paws with her back end straight up in the air as if she is doing a hand stand.
Here’s a poem I composed in college. I was an English major and under a lot of pressure to write a “quick” poem about something or other. I had two cats given to me by my x-husband (this was about 1981), brother and sister — Freud and Persis. Color me ignorant, because I had cats all my life, but still (at 26…do the math, I’m giving away my age) didn’t realize that bro and sis would procreate. I had never had a cat that wasn’t fixed. Anyway, I came home one day to find two kittens from this (unholy?) union, not even knowing that Persis was pregnant. One kitten perished, probably from being born to an inexperienced mom, but who knows? Freud was nudging the dead kitten with his paw and I thought (wrongly) that maybe he had killed it. I don’t know why I thought this…the kitten was no sin against nature in the cat world. Years after that he was a great foster dad to many a foster kitten — he lived with me and loved me for more than 21 years. But I digress…here’s the poem I wrote a few years after that, goes like this.
Freudcat (Title)
Freud’s not a tomcat, he’s a wuss
an embarrassing moniker for a proud male puss
his sister was preggers
he the mate
she had two kittens
one he ate
now he’s got a kitten that’s his niece and daughter
I can’t quite hate him
but think I ought’er
Classmates thought the poem had a deeper meaning….an analogy to incest… jeeeezzz…it’s just about my cat
Bella is beautiful! I,m so glad she’s with you and loved
calicoes are special “queenly” cats..
She’ll rule the house in no time!
What a little doll! Bless you for saving her and taking her in! (and hold on to that wonderful boyfriend)
She is a beautiful little creature, and lucky to have escaped being killed! You and your boyfriend are her angels, and I am certain that she will have a wonderful, long life with you for which she will be forever grateful.
Bella is a DOLL!!!! Thanks to you she will have a loving home and will always be grateful. Cats are so close to their owners. You did a very nice thing in rescuing her. She will give you both years of happiness and fun.
I decided to marry my husband when he dove in to rescue a cat being attacked by several dogs and saved her. He was bloodied but victorious in the end.
We were married for 34 years and several cats and dogs . He’s been gone 9 years now and I think of him everyday. He was my hero a definite keeper. lol
JM from Missouri
all i could say is, WooW ur cat is adorable!
Yepp i agree she is adorably cute and she knows it , look at that face, so fuzzy ! and ur such a wonderful soul for taking care of her .
What a pretty girl! Her markings are great, can’t help but to smile. So glad you found her and picked her up! —Still haven’t caught the stray in our neighborhood yet. My daughter tried to catch it just to take off the collar, but it wouldn’t let her get close enough. The cat seems to be staying away from the cage, I told my neighbor not to feed it anything and we’ll leave the cage out tomorrow. Time is running out because I have to give the cage back to the Animal Shelter here. We’ll keep trying…….
Rescuing this beautiful little girl was the act of a hero! What a lucky little sweetheart she is! What a sad, sad thing, that kittens end up in danger and unwanted, homeless and unloved! Bless you kind folks for taking her in! Love her always and keep her safe! May she be your beloved companion for many, many happy years.
My Belle Amie Fuzz! She is adorable! You must be so proud of your boyfriend to have rescued her. He’s a keeper as it shows he has a loving caring side to him. May you all enjoy manys years of love and happiness together.
I did see the kitty on the news and had tears in my eyes. The kitty is so cute and what a brave thing to be able to overcome his misfortune. I hope he goes to a loving home.
Such a sweet little kitten with big blue eyes. It looks like she might have a few extra toes!
Where in upstate NY? I’m in Montezuma the Fingerlakes region.
Take Harrow London UK
Oh, what an ADORABLE calico~!>^.^< Very good that you rescued her.*presents ribbon for 'defying the odds' rescue...then huggles the kitty* How the heck could it have ended up on that street? Someone could NEVER abandon this kawaii bundle of fluff. And it looks WAY too young to be out on its own, never mind at all(I've known a couple of cats that were sadly killed by coyotes)...
Cutie FUZZ! It is nice to know there are still some caring people in this world.
Blessings to all who rescue animals(cats, dogs, gerbils…anything)… you are truly special people. I seem to inherit cats, my ex’s cat and now I will have two kittens from my son…. Ah well…. love ’em all!
Brovo!
OMG – the poor little baby!!! I’m so grateful to your boyfriend. I can’t believe she wasn’t hit – I guess she is destined for greatness in her life. What a wonderful baby!!
WOW…that’s an amazing story of Bella’s rescue.
She looks like a very special girl with those gorgeous markings and blue eyes.
Thank you for saving her and giving her a good home.
Baby Bella! Such luck to be able to pull her off the street. Great boyfriend! Keep him.
I am glad you are able to give Bella the loving home she deserves!
What a sweet kitty, and a sweet boyfriend for rescuing her. It does my heart good to know that there are good people still out there who care so much about animals. It seems like a lot of people get an animal, keep it until it’s no longer cute, and then just turn it loose or dump it somewhere.
BTW, I’m in Waco, Texas.
What a cute kittie and a lucky one as well. God bless your boyfriend for being an alert driver and kind enough to rescue her.
liz ur right! her bf is sooo kind for doing that! i rescued a kitten trapped under a motor home! shes 3 weeks old! shes gray and white… her name is summer! im gonna try to post a pic of her soon! and thx for writing that GREAT comment! i cant w8 to c wat cats uve got! cya!
AWWWWWWWWWWWW. Sooooooooo Cute!!!1
What a lucky person you are to find Bella but a chance to discover your boyfriend’s character!
Joy to all!
What a darling! and what a wonderful boyfriend you have to save her…they both sound like “keepers”!!
I’m a cat man. And I say that nice looking kitty had to be saved and nurtured.
Take good care of her.
Cheers to All of You.
I am soooo grateful for you and your boyfriend. Now this little angel has a chance to bring you two much joy! Thank you for this.
Poor thing must have been terrified. And your boyfriend is an angel for saving her. Hold on to that one. Any man who is man enough to save a kitten is one to keep.
What an adorable, (and very fortunate) little darling!
I love Torties and tortie and whites, which is what Bella is, not actually calico, but I love calicos too.
I like that aircraft style pattern that tortie and white cats have, with the earthtones on the upper half and the white on the tummy.
How adorable !! You guys are so sweet. You are such great people, for rescuing and for taking care of this cute bundle. You just earned solid good karma friends! Nice things will always happen to good people like you!
She should be a princess!
That’s sad. The poor thing
I’M VERY GLAD YOUR BOYFRIEND SAVED THAT POOR KITTEN
awwwww bella is soooo cute. I love bella
you have a great boyfriend.
heyy! my names bella! how cutee
Help, does anyone know how to break kittens from getting under the hood. We bang on it, honk and throw water but nothing seem to deter their habit and I am afraid it is going to end in their accidental death.
the kitten is soo cute. you and your boyfriend must be so lucky.
