KJ, I thought about the Comet/Ajax connection too! Both names are really fitting, but when I hear that wee roar I lean toward the lion’s name.
I’ve taken a few pics, but photographing a kitten is about as challenging as raising them. When I get a few good pics I’ll submit them to TDK for sure!

They’ve recorded minor earthquakes in Colorado but I’ve never noticed one.
I sympathize with people who suffer through earthquakes. It’s so short of time yet unimaginable destrution. Mother Nature doesn’t give hoomins an option-earthquakes, hurricanes, avalaches. We have to bond together to help each other out. I have no idea…[Read more]

Paw up – PM Waves on a grey/was drizzling day!
Not much shaking around here. MS – thanks for fun FYI Earth Quake Detection Kit – hope you won’t have to use it again too soon!
Well my li’l Kiki visited me again this AM! Yup, treated me to leg rubs, chirps & even let me pick her up for about 1/2 min. with purrychirps…what a furry sweetheart.…[Read more]

Afternoon all! …. I’ve never been in an earthquake, but I’ve lived through my share of Hurricanes! ….
Today is the last semi-low humidity day here for us, it’s heading way up the rest of this week, and so are the temps! …. 90s are just around the corner!
I’m looking for Caddy’s cat tree today or tomoroow, I’m very excited about it! Handy…[Read more]
Since he discovered wet food and water, it’s possible he was full and then drank too much of the water. I wouldn’t worry about one time. If it continues every time, then call the vet.
I believe this is too early to wean them. They wouldn’t be weaned from their mama until 8-10 weeks. So make the kits a gruel which is a mix of formula and wet…[Read more]

Good morning – I live near the Ramapo Fault system, which produces lots of minor activity but rarely anything that can be felt. The last one I felt was in the summer of 2011. I did hear the boom of a minor one not too long ago.
My little baby is doing ok. No poop yet, but he hasn’t eaten anything solid. He loves the syringe feeding (he refuses a…[Read more]

Good morning! No thanks, I don’t do earthquakes. Felt one when I was young, the refrigerator moved a bit and I guess to you MS, that would be a tremor! Scary stuff and I do believe that animals can sense things way before we humans can. Leona hides when a thunderstorm is coming….I think she can feel the vibrations of the thunder way before it…[Read more]
No, I don’t think she is eating her poop. And, she needs stimulated after EVERY feeding since waiting for a kitten to poop on it’s own this young just isn’t going to happen. The mother licks their genitals with her rough tongue…she doesn’t care if the kittens fuss and squirm, she does it anyway because they have to poop. At 4 weeks, if you had…[Read more]

Crossover pic –
Quake Cats is a new book filled with heart warming stories of what happened to Christchurch cats during the devastating earthquakes of 2010/11.
Our dog used to sense quakes and turn in circles but our cats haven’t been that definite about them, their reactions have been very subtle.
Only joking, I use my cuckoo clock…[Read more]

Good morning all. another gorgeous Autumnal day with sunshine and light breeze.
JJ, I won’t offer to take your rain as we have had several months of rain in recent weeks. I noticed the beginnings of a slip across the gully, nothing like that has happened the 30 odd years we have lived here.
JK, that is a great article of…[Read more]
I love your laying hen, KJ! Sorry you’re not feeling much better. Hopefully, the potassium will help.
Sweet corn! yum
We’re waiting for snow. Yes, snow. Of course, we were supposed to get a good rain last week…ha!
JJ is a foster mom! The kit couldn’t have a better foster meowmy. I think he/she is too young to know if his eyes are…[Read more]
Just keep feeding them by getting food into them anyway you can. I never worried about weighing–I’m sure the vet and others will say that it’s important since you can tell if the kitten is gaining each day. I didn’t have a scale and I had enough to worry about feeding them every 2 hours, peeing, pooping and cleaning bedding without fussing over…[Read more]
Hi Becky, welcome to TDK, the fluffiest place in the I’net.
I am glad we have been of help to you but sad that you have had a horror of a week with 5 kittens over the Rainbow Bridge to the Meadow.
We are all cat lovers here from many parts of the world and love to chat about our furkits and our lives.
We would love to hear about your own 4 cats…[Read more]
You should leave them in their nest and feed them that way. They may purrfer being feeding while laying on the belly.
Some vets. don’t know enough about Goats’ milk but you must do what makes you comfortable.
Afternoon all! …. I love my cuppa joe in the am, gotta have it to start my engines 😉
Cuddles was an all white, but not deaf at all ….. she had two lovely green eyes, although I had an all white in college (Syd) who had one green and one blue eye …. he was somewhat hard of hearing, but not sure if he was all deaf ….

Please join me in raising your paws in the air and welcoming our Star Kit duo for today, Peanut and Gumball. They are 4 weeks old from NYC.
While on a family car ride through Jersey we came across two […]
Pounce! What an adorable pair. I’m so glad they’re safe and loved.
Thank you for rescuing wee Peanut and Gumball. They are just too cute and are thriving under your care. May you enjoy many more loving, playful times together.
Mr. Peanut and Mr. Gumball are deliciously adorable! 🙂
Thank you for taking these two adorable babies in and giving them a great home!
Just precious! Love the one sticking his tongue out!
Peanut & gumball are adorable little darlings! I’m so glad you gave them a home.
You should be aware that they need cat’s milk, not just “regular” cow’s milk. Ordinarily they would get needed immunities from their mother’s milk so, without that, cat’s milk should give them what they need. You should be able to get it at any pet supply shop.
I wish you and them many great years together!
Aw, what a pair of sweet little babies!! I am so happy to read that they’ve found a loving human, and a safe and warm home. 🙂
Kisses to you both, Peanut and Gumball!
