Memorial Day is dedicated to service men and women who gave their lives for freedom and country. It is also a time to remember loved ones who have passed away.
Yeah, I’m with you there PG. I have my own ideas about “world view” and will doubtless have to sadly withdraw my candidacy. 😉
As evidence, I named my kit after a totally amoral character. And if grrrl kits ever come into my life, I’d like to name them “Suky Tawdry” and/or “Jenny Diver” from srsly amoral work (crime pays and very well) – John…[Read more]
So my alter ego is “Sound Cat” works for me! 🙂
Nice out today but supposedly we’re in for rain for rest of week. At gym they were doing some sort of outdoor street hockey game, grrls and boyz on same teams, nice to see.
So today’s chores involved switching over soft furnishings/accessories for mid-late spring. Going with a navy/white sorta…[Read more]
I may very well be wrong (and probably am) but purrhaps if one’s suggested name is chosen one gets to be wee bean’s godpurrent. Meaning responsible for lots of pressies and in some religions “moral” education. 😉
Hope all who have Memorial Day as long weekend are having good one – with the actual day as Monday – wait for it! 😉
KZ, good that Mr. KZ is on the mend!
PG, how are you doing, is muscle strain easing up some?
Dorry joined the kits for the ‘nip scavenger hunt – and by the looks of things he must have tried each variety that he pounced across!…[Read more]
Goodness so many name choices!
Now I do have some secret fave names (literary) for grrrl kits (the two kits that have been in my life one at a time were/are male) but they’re secret LOL.
I like Aiofe and Gaelic names, but you might consider that kit’s name will often be mispronounced and you will be having to teach peeps how to pronounce it.
I love the name Aiofe but trying to call that several times in a row is difficult.
Ciara – dark-haired -( kee + ra”) she is a black cat
Saoirse –(seer-sha) freedom – you gave her freedom from being a feral.
I’m sure you will find the perfect name for Li’l Bean.
Good morning from Sunday, it is drizzly but not cold. I’ll take that.
We were woken at 3am by a very loud double clap of thunder and then nothing more. HRH Shadz woke with a start(as did I) and fled off the bed and didn’t return until almost 7am when she announced her arrival with a loud meow and woke me with a start. 😮 No more sleep so I…[Read more]
Please join me in welcoming this Caturday’s Star Kit, Loki Poe. He is 9 weeks old from Petaluma, CA.
Loki Poe announced himself by walking straight up to the kennel bars by stepping on two other kittens […]
Don’t pounce until you see the white around his eyes!
Adorable little fuzzball!
It’s amazing how such tiny creatures are the best recruiters for finding and getting the best loving homes! What an adorable cuddly fur of joy!
Tooooo cute i cant stand it. Love tiny fur babies.
You do look like a Loki! I see mischief all over you. He knew you had his furever home.
Who could resist a tiny guy who is so cute and loving. He’ll grow up to be a handsome for sure:)
Loki Poe is a kit with a mind of his own and some interesting character’s names to inspire him 😉
It was love at first sight. How wonderful for you both.
Hi all – picnics, parades and all things happy are so important. Though Memorial Day is a solemn occasion, happiness is what our military has fought for.
My crew are coming through the wormhole, rolling a watermelon. It’s big and juicy and sweet, and they promise to leave it in the skilled paws of the agency chef kitties.
ECB, your window looks…[Read more]
Saturday here and it’s a wet one, rained all night and all day so far. HRH is buried deep in her beanbag now after spending the morning outside watching the rain fall. I got great enjoyment out of watching a neighbours ducks and goose couple enjoying the rain and slurping up the worms flushed to the surface by all the rain.
Yay, Mr MS managed…[Read more]
“set course for that super string” heeheehee!
I took a long walk/hike today and then went to the store. Stopped by the garden center on the way back up the mountain. Did some outdoor cleanup and before I knew it, it was dinner time.
I’ve got a brand new great nephew! His name is William, 9.3 lbs, 21 3’4 inches, born at 1:18am pacific time. My…[Read more]
Please join me in meeting and greeting today’s Star Kit, Bellmont. She is 6 weeks old from Richmond, Virginia.
A friend heard her meowing and scratching in the wall of her apartment and finally got her […]
Pounce! Poor little one! I’m so glad she’s safe and out of the wall. She’s a beautiful girl.
She’s beautiful! Your landlord has compassion for saving this wee one’s life. Am relieved tha she is safe and sound, and is now in a loving furever home.
I’m so glad she was rescued!
Bless your friend for keeping pressure on their landlord to get Bellmont out of the wall. Poor baby yet she is okay now which is what matters most. Bellmont is safe now and loved:)
Bellmont is one very lucky kitty. Thank goodness your friend and her landlord came to her rescue.
She has a similar nose marking to my cat Shadow.
Wee Bellmont is a precious girl! I love that she wouldn’t give up until someone rescued her. Kudos to the landlord too.
Miss Bellmont has a very classy name, she rightfully belongs in the main apartment! 😉 So glad tht she made her presence known!

Yeah, that hammock pic is pretty cute!
Enjoy your day off, KZ. Hope you avoid the spring cold.
More kitchen work today. They paused for two days waiting for a section of counter to be remade. But kitchen was usable for cooking, so not too bad to pause.
