Man, what a bad week. First everything with Taco and the fridge/trash, and now I wake up…go to make breakfast…NO RUNNING WATER?!? I can’t take a shower before work, I can’t make a warm tea to get me going in the morning, I can’t make oatmeal for breakfast, I can’t refill the cat’s water bowl, I can’t do the dishes so Taco doesn’t lick them and get sick from the food…

I ran to the store and got a few bottles of water to fill up the cat bowl and so I have something to drink, but this is such a pain. I don’t want to have to pay for water in a bottle when it should come to my house free.

It looks like they are hopefully working on it. There seems to be someone outside the window digging a giant hole in the street.

    Still…grrrrr..

Hi everyone..I am popping in and out today…

Oh Gini…we have been there, that’s hard. I hope they fix it soon for you. I would call the water department just to make sure they are working on it.

Kilroy, come sit in the corner with me and the kitties. I’m feeling unsociable in the real world, but not the cyber one!

Gini, you have certainly had your share of rotten stuff (oh, please pardon the pun). When the power goes out at my house, I have nothing, no water, no heat, nothing. It’s a total pain. Hang in there – I hope that water comes back on soon for you. Want some hot chocolate?

I think they are working on it thankfully, this is the view outside my window

It doesn’t look too pretty, though. I hope it gets better sooner rather than later.

    I’d LOVE some Joan, thanks!

Oh that is horrible, Gini. I hope that you get your water back on asap! Who is digging the hole, why didn’t they notify anyone they were turning off the water or did they break the pipe and it is spilling out in the street?

Good morning all. It is another busy day with meetings, new hire training and all.

LK, I know what you mean about not wanting to leave when the kitties are giving some headbonks and all. Sylvester sits on one of my chairs and when I got to say my see you later to him, he starts purring and rubbing his head and of course then I must give him some pettings which makes it really hard to leave. Mia sometimes will follow me from the bathroom to the bedroom as I get ready for work, sometimes tripping me and then she jumps up on the bed rubbing herself against me as I put on some stockings or socks. If I lean down to check my shoes sometimes she jumps up onto my back! Silly kitty. It’s her way of saying don’t go.

GD, that is amazing at how much you have earned from the dog walking! Wow! Hope it keeps up for you.

I am having a nice pumpkin scone and a mocha from Starbucks this morning. Yummy! I was awake at 5am this morning. I think my internal clock still hasn’t re-adjusted from being on daylight savings time.

Howdy everyone! I hit the ground running and didn’t check in at my normal early time…cloudy and rainy and COLD here in SW Michigan. The spousal unit raked leaves before I got home, and I helped him put them on a big tarp, which we carried around to the boulevard and dumped the leaves. We live in the city and get pickup, but you STILL have to rake the doggone thangs.

Seems like every bloody leaf in Kalamazoo ends up in MY back yard 🙂

SMM I have no idea, I just woke up and had no water and saw that outside my window. Muddy water is pouring down the street though, so I’m assuming they accidentally broke it digging, or they dug to fix it. You never realize how much you use water in a day until it’s turned off! We definitely didn’t get a notification at all though.

Good day all. Chai tea please; and eggs sunny-side-up with hashbrowns and corned beef hash. If there is any left – late to breakfast again. *sigh*

    Hi 2p!

Joan, hahaha that would have been funny! I don’t want them getting mad from it and taking longer to fix it though! Imagine that…turn on everyone elses water but mine…hahaha.

Gini, I hope it gets fixed soon. Hi SMM you are on early. Your scone sounds much better than my oatmeal. Don’t get me wrong, I liked my oatmeal, but it lacks the pizzaz of a pumpkin scone. Hi everyone else! Ok back to work, I am having a late lunch today and have to get a lot of things done.

My Tansey was VERY naughty this morning. I’d put three fried chicken wings in a plastic bag, put that in another bag, and twisted it nice and tight. Then I went upstairs to brush my teeth.

When I came back downstairs, TWO kitties are -very- interested in my lunch. Hermes is only the accomplice. Tansey is the guilty party, she undid the first bag and chewed a hole in the wing bag and was merrily chomping away on one of my chicken wings!

I yelled her name and she stopped, mid-bite, and took off for parts unknown. She came back to the scene of the crime shortly, looking for crumbs of breading or pieces of wing she might have missed. STINKER!

    Lol, Tansey!

Gini – one good thing today: Rubia has found a kitty cam and I’m sure I’m not the only one hoping you’ll get one for Taco to tape his nightly escapades to the fridge and trash! 🙂

Joan, here’s a nice big mug of cocoa with whipped cream.

Gini, that stinks (I hope not literally; you never know with water main/sewer problems). I checked the water dept’s web site but didn’t see anything about repairs in your area (you’re not far from me, btw).

LOL at Tansey. Stinker is right 🙂

Well, the good news is the water is now back!! The bad news? I turned the water on, and since I guess there must have been air in the pipes while fixing, it came out in crazy spurts, somehow flinging itself in odd directions out of the sink, and SOAKED my clothes! Eek. At least it’s back, though.

Kilroy where is it that you live? I forget if you’ve told me before or not? I have a bad memory sometimes.

Our water at the gym got shut off for an afternoon a few weeks ago – no water at a gym – now THAT’S stinky!!!
