    The big pink key opened the door to find the agency kitties practicing “Happy Birthday”. It’s more like yowling in various notes, but I believe AV will appreciate the effort when she stops by. 🙂
    In honor of one of our regular’s b-day, all things banana are banned from the kitchen. However, AV should be forewarned that although they respect the avoidance of the food, she may discover a lot of banana cat toys and gag gifts and banana themed decorations. We all know how cats can be!
    In the kitchen, kitties are making different kinds of breads today. It sure smells good!
    All of your favorite noms and bevvies are at the buffet, and chef kitties await your custom order.

    Good Morning Joan! …. awww, I’m honored for the birthday songs and wishes …. my favorite Birthday breakfast would be slightly toasted bagel, with smoked salmon, capers and cream cheese 🙂
    …. and I’ll bet the kitties would enjoy that too !

    …. lounging around today, Mr. AV and Dau are taking me out to dinner tonight ….. I got one of my presents yesterday at Sis’s house – Mr. AV bought me the new ‘pet hair’ rombot vac …. you know, the round ones that are robotic and have sensors, so that they manuver around furniture or doorways …… it’s SO nice, and funny – it came with a ‘birth certificate’ and pre-named – it’s Bob! LOL

    …. I ran Bob in my bedroom first off, and I have to say I’m embarressed how much cat hair he managed to pick up – and I vacumn all the time! ….. this can only bode well for all my allergies 🙂

    ***passing bagel to AV***. Happy Birthday, AV. Hope it’s a happy one!

    Went to Publix (our grocery store) to pick up a little something from the bakery for breakfast this morning. We are on the county line, so we cross a body of water and go about one minute into the next county to get to Publix. There’s another almost as close in the other direction, but we like crossing the bridge and seeing the water. At 7 am the sky was soo pretty this morning. All pastel colors and pretty clouds! After being landlocked for 12 years, it’s nice to be near water.

    My kitties favorite toy is banana shaped. I’ll pass it through the wormhole to add to the decor.

    Good morning Joan, AV, ECB! Lazy here today, but going to visit youngest daughter and baby today and take them to lunch. Her husband and mine are off doing various things, which leaves us free to roam (shop)!! I will take what AV is having kitties, you may take a lick of salmon if you wish, just leave some for me and a steaming mug of java! Enjoy your pampering today AV! ECB, the water sounds lovely, especially in the early morning before the world has had a chance to wake properly up.
    Joan, hope your elbow is feeling better. I hurt mine a while back scooping out ‘cement litter’ from the box before my Simba crossed over. I felt something snap, and my gosh that thing hurt for months. It would be the famous tennis elbow, had to scoop left handed for a while, the best thing is just not use it much, it WILL heal.
    Well, off to start my day to the outside world. My cats are chasing each other up and down the stairs, sounds like a heard of elephants!

    Taking the scenic route is always worth it, ECB. Water is so serene to ride by.
    Hi KZ.y elbow always bothers me when I lift with that arm. Tylenol takes the edge off, though, as well as icing it. Of course, it’s the right one and I’m right hand dominant, so I am being ambidextrous when I can. I also have been meaning to try some physical therapy exercises I discovered on line.
    Hi Buttons! Scritches to Nutini and Noodle.
    I have so much to do, but list a few hours sleep last night. Did ok for a while , but getting tired. So thankful it’s Saturday.

    Hi KJ & MS. Comet, who can’t keep a secret, heard that the kitties went thru the wormhole to AV’s place. They promised to be good. 🙂
    MS, what a great cake!
    It was a bit rainy later today so around dinner time I brought Mac in. He doesn’t really want to be in, but I showed him how it feels to be dried off.
    Poor Comet, 2 cats in the house and neither wants to play with him.

    Arrrrrrrrrgh ! ! The cake was there????? I couldn’t see it at all so I tried another one also seemingly without success.
    We had rain lastnight but so far today it has been dry. It had better stay that way as I now have the washing billowing and flapping on the line. HRH is outside finally after hanging around for her weekly Sunday bacon taster. Ohhhhhhhhhhh, the sun is out but it’s still pretty dark around the ranges.

    Awwwwwww poor Comet, maybe Mac will feel more at ease inside eventually and play with Comet. Does Mac like ‘nip’? That may help them become used to each other too.
    Sending HRH thtough the worm hole to AV’s for the party. He he he, I can just picture the goings on with all the cats appearing at her house.

    Nice to be able to hang the laundry out. One times it can’t even drape a towel over a chair without a bird targeting it!
    I haven’t tried nip. Will give it a try. I feel so tired, but before I sink too far into the couch, I’ll go and check on them. Miss Leelavus editing for her treats. She’s spitting out the lysine again, even though I break it into smaller pieces. She is quite clever!
    I hope the kits don’t get carried away with the banana gag gifts!

    HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY dear AV!!!! Hope you are enjoying your special day! Thinking of you! What did you have for your BD dinner?
    Wow, it’s cold out. I have the little ceramic heater running. It’s damp and cold in here too! When I went to bed last night, was 77 degrees inside and when I got up, it was down to 6o something….. 66 now. Did some grocery shopping after work to get some much needed items.
    Looked for the Northern Lights last night, but didn’t see anything. Poor visibility here anyway, but you just never know!!! The moon was out and there were clouds.

    Hi BB – I looked outside last night too. It was clear with some wispy clouds.
    I just let Mac out – he was in for a few hours. He thinks nip is fun, but doesn’t go totally bonkers over it. He likes the dental treats that Leela doesn’t like, so that’s good. Comet was close, but not into the treats and “meh” with nip. He turned to leave and Mac swatted him. Not a direct swat, but enough for Comet to notice. Then Mac came into the other room where Leela was. He was purring away, rubbing on me and didn’t notice Leela till I gave her treats. He didn’t approach or retreat, he wanted more belly rubs. Leela stared at him the whole time, then growled thru her treats. A different, more quiet one than when she growls at Comet, who was watching a few feet away just outside the room. She sat up, in a corner, her tail wrapped tightly around her. Let’s face it folks, Leela doesn’t like other cats. Except her virtual TDK friends.
    Comet used the litterbox I set aside for Mac. “Mine.”
    Turned on the light before opening the back door to see 2 very fat raccoons on the doorstep. I presume the opossum was around too. They left, and I let Mac out.
    Interesting evening.

    Tonight is my first night back after being in California for the last week, drove in tonight and I can tell you that driving 500 miles in a day is really exhausting. But it will be a short work week so that is a good thing, really didn’t want to leave and come back so soon but such is life when one has to work to pay the bills. I have missed so much lately, or at least since the beginning of summer….just a weird few months I suppose.
