Wow, is it really the end of October already?? This weekend’s kitty project is pumpkin carving and/or painting. Other pumpkins are in the kitchen for pies, soups, snacks and casseroles.
There’s plans for a party later, and the kitties are up to something. Guess we will have to wait, they’re not telling!
Meanwhile, a fabulous buffet as only TDK land can provide, has been set up and chef kitties await your custom order.
    Welcome!

Morning Joan, unbelieveable that is this close to the end of October already. Sitting here trying to figure out our new T&A system, payroll input…what a mess and we have no real instructions yet.

    Good Morning Joan and AZ,

My kitties sent me on a mission to rake the leaves. I wonder why they want me out of the house on the gorgeous Colorado Caterday….

Leela wants me upstairs with her, Comet wants me downstairs and Mac wants me outside!

Lol Joan looks like your being pulled in all directions 🙂 hey Deb (waves across the pond )

Pussigato if I were you I’d run back inside to check up on those little monkeys 🙂

Had a hectic few days so glad to be back in the cafe !

Myself and Mr B had a funeral for our TV 🙁 it died on us yesterday.. And we went and bought a new 48″ tv today… It’s pretty cool and we got a
Bracket for it so it’s on the wall now out of the way and so the cats can’t damage it..

Hi AV, thought that was you earlier – it was Deb. Sorry Deb! That’s what I get for posting while sleepy.
Hey Deb, don’t you just love when you have a job to do but are not provided all the tools to do it? I am quite familiar with this.
PC, raking leaves is great exercise! Of course, you may be sore tomorrow. It is a beautiful day here too.
Good for you, Buttons, on the new tv. We are waiting for our old style tv to go so we can get a newfangled one.
AV, nice to see you in here relaxing for a bit.

Hey AV 🙂 hope all unpacking goes smoothly for Dau !!

Good idea Joan .. We had our tv for 7+ years ! A long time for a 42″ plasma really.. Hope this one lasts another 7!!

Oh Joan can you please relay some information to kitty cafe staff… KJ’s Dorry poked his nose through the wormhole to remind me it’s KJ’s Purrday today… So maybe we can have some balloons and streamers dotted around cafe..

A nice big Bday cake on display in the corner and guarded by a cranky tuxie who will make sure no sneaky paws get any of it before KJ arrives 🙂

Happy Purrday KJ!!!!! Hope your having a wonderful day!!

Oh, that’s what all the secrecy was about when I opened the door this morning!
The party decorations are out, and, big surprise here, they are all shiny and colorful!
I got my buddy the Maine Coon to cave and tell me about the cake. It’s a chocolate brownie cake with chocolate chips and will be served topped with hot chocolate sauce. Why do I get the feeling basement kitties had a big paw in this? And Dorry must have snuck through the wormhole when KJ was sleeping to help – she would be suspicious if he disappeared.

Most of the United States begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and reverts to standard time on the first Sunday in November. In the U.S., each time zone switches at a different time.
In the European Union, Summer Time begins and ends at 1:00 a.m. Universal Time (Greenwich Mean Time). It begins the last Sunday in March and ends the last Sunday in October. In the EU, all time zones change at the same moment.

    End: First Sunday in April

Howdy!! I worked, picked up a couple groceries, then went over to Tractor Supply for cat food and litter and while there, looked at all the Christmas cards, calendars, and other goodies. Found an adorable box of cards and got a Coke in a real glass bottle with real sugar to try! Was gonna drink it on the way home, but it does not have a twist off cap. 🙁 I am all excited about the holidays this year and hope it sticks. Sometimes I run out of steam…. LOL
It was a gorgeous day here and there were a few “TRUNK or TREATS” going on in the area. Perfect day to be outside! The stars were so bright and gorgeous early this morning and I felt like I could just reach up and touch them! Plus, yesterday was the most beautiful sunset…. Joan, did you happen to see that? I thought of you right away! 🙂

Good morning all, wow a fabulous buffet and still some left for late comers. 🙂
PG, a leaf raking mission sounds lovely. If you had the wind we have today the leaves would be gone and no need to rake. I wonder what the kits are up to inside though.
Deb, I hope the new T&A system etc don’t become too much of a pain in the butt.
LOL, Joan, torn between 3 furkits, it’s bad enough here with 1 furkit, she seems to be always wanting to come inside/go outside if the door is shut but if it’s open we hardly see her.
Buttons, RIP TV and hello flat screen on the wall, yay! !
AV, what a busy day it must have been at your house. Did daughter find an apartment? It’s the end of an era for you and hubby as far as the kids at home and the beginning of a new one now. I bet you still have plenty of their ‘stuff’ still at home though.
Aha, KJ’s birthday! What an amazing cake! I think the basement kitties may have been involved in the making of it too.
Hi BB, what is a ‘trunk or treat?
It’s a sunny Sunday here with equinox winds blowing and I will be filling pots and tubs with tomato mix soil and planting out my tomato seedlings I have grown as well as cucumbers, courgettes, buttercup and some delphinium flower seedlings. HRH has found herself a shady spot out of the wind now and is curled up asleep.

    Hi MS!
“Trunk or Treat” is a relatively new concept. People gather in parks and decorate the trunks of their cars with Halloween decorations and load up on candy – mother load if one has a pickup truck!
I had to giggle at the note of AV’s daughter possibly having stuff at home. My mom has lived in the family homestead all her life, so I have plenty of stuff there. It’s funny that she is thinning stuff out; the way I see it, there is a good chance I will wind up down there some day if I am old an alone. Sooo, why move stuff twice?!

Ahhh – look at what those creative kits came up with – aided and abetted by Basement kitties no doubt! And so easy to serve, too! Best purrday cake ever!!! Tks!

Thanks Joan and Buttons for remembering b-day! And to Dorry too, wondered why he was off premises for a bit! Well as pic says 1,000 wds I’ll spare you all a long essay!

And since I will no longer be carded (right, LOL!) I have brought along a libation as absinthe. AKA “The Green Fairy”. Ernest Hemingway, Charles Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Amedeo Modigliani, Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Oscar Wilde (Dorry’s mentor as Dorian Gray Esq), Aleister Crowley, Erik Satie, and Alfred Jarry were all known absinthe drinkers. So I’d be in “interesting” company? Never tried it – I just like the purry bottle. Purrhaps this is the year!

Joan, ROTFL. I still have some of my ‘stuff’ at Mum’s, including my wedding dress. I have heaps of the girls stuff here still, infact both their rooms are still full and not really useable as spare rooms yet but Deb once suggested I buy a large storage container and load it up and deliver to the offender and let them deal with it. Sage advice.
Must go and fill all my tubs and pots with the appropriate soil mixes now.
    Back later.

Haha MS, my wedding dress is at my mom’s too! Hanging in the closet of what was once my bedroom.
Glad Mr. MS is relaxing and following doctors orders.

Hello there Birthday Girl! KJ, I hope the kitties remembered to adorn you when you got here with the pink and silver tiara that the girls picked out for you. Oh and there is ice cream in the freezer if you want brownie a la mode topped with hot fudge sauce.

Hey if anyone got a weird email from me, I am sorry but it looks like the evil spammers found me. I’ve taken proper action.

Just got home from the only restaurant in a 5 mile radius from here, we had a gift certificate. I forgot we were going, otherwise I wouldn’t have snacked this afternoon. Had a fabulous meal, half of which I brought home, but it was the drinks they did me in. Frozen strawberry daqueries – yummy but I’m over-full!
