I personally think cats can hold onto a grudge for nearly as long as a man can 🙂

He better give her a few treats …

Oh I’ve just woken up properly … I’m soooo tired today!! Think I might grab something to eat tummy is rumbling ..

Morning all! ….. LOL @ HRH and the ‘grudge’ ….. Cuddles keeps record of all slights, and is still mad about something from 2005 …..

…. the redneck hummus was a big hit, and I have enough leftover to take to MIL’s today for my nephew’s B’day party …. can’t believe he’s turning 40, he was only 11 when Mr. AV and I got married! …..

I hear you on cat grudges, HRH isn’t likely to soon forget.
Heard a thumping sound downstairs earlier – both cats are upstairs. There’s a robin that keeps flying into the window. Not too much velocity, thankfully, because she is coming from the tree right in front of the window. Comet is on the scene now, and very excited. Hope the bird doesn’t hurt herself.

    Good pm all,
Chiming in re kitty grudges. Read somewhere that kits only have stored memory recall of 9 mins and thus can’t hold grudges. Don’t know how they scientifically came up with 9. I may be totally wrong or projecting but IMHO Dorry remembers every slight and if he does not get back at me immediately might be storing up a list. And then woe betide me!!!

The robin had a friend by the window; they’ve moved on now. I wonder if they were checking the tree out as a possible nesting location.
Thinking of our Lucy, 6 weeks into her adventure.

Just saw my first robin here a few weeks back, supposed to bode arrival of Spring, but Spring didn’t get the msg. Not as yet, that is LOL. Now need a catnap. Have the cat, need the nap. Purrhaps he’ll join me.

Hey KJ.. I’ve felt like having a cat nap all day long!!

It’s a bank holiday weekend here and Mr B is with his brother he’ll probably be back pretty late so I’ve stocked up with lots of goodies for the night .. Might see if there are any good movies on 🙂

Feeling lazy again today, though I’ve done stuff. Now the clouds have moved in and it has started to rain. Leela is snoring gently. Perfect setting for a cat nap!

Right! …… sometimes she purrsnores so loudly, it wakes me up at night! LOL …. and she is the best girl! only sleeps on her blankies – I keep one on the foot of the bed (in the picture), but I have them on the back of the sofas, and then her donut bed in my office …… she never gets anywhere else

Nope Buttons sleeps everywhere ! If I put a blanket down for him that’s the one place he wouldn’t sleep…

Comet will sleep anywhere. when life deals him lemons, he makes lemonade. He got locked in a closet overnight when he was a baby, and when we opened the door and found him, he just looked up, got up and came out. Every other cat on the planet would have scratched, yowled, or at least peed!
Leela, of course, loves her deep cushy bed. Only cat I ever had who has a bed and actually uses it.
Back in the previous generation, Jiggs would sleep by the pillows on the bed in the evening. At bedtime, I would tap the foot of the bed on my side and talk to him. He would immediately wake from any state of sleep, get up and go to where I tapped.

Our Chinese researcher Lingyun Xiao was fortunate enough to encounter four snow leopards at once on a recent field trip! Read her story at http://www.snowleopard.org/observing-the-cats-interact
