Just had a lovely dinner on Greenwood Lake, now home enjoying a glorious sunset. Lots of boats and jet skis and a few blue heron flying around. Wonderful atmosphere to dine by, the lake was just a few feet from our table. Came home to 3 hungry cats; Mac looked at us like, “Oh! Mac thought you were never coming back!”, Leela is perched at the top of the stairs, and Comet is pacing and telling us that he is starving. Oh and he left yakkage, presumably to let us know we are late!

Sounds like a lovely day out Joan πŸ™‚ Mac must really feel part of the family if he was missing ya πŸ™‚

He seems to like it when I sit out here with him. He scarfed down a half can of food, had some crunchies and a drink of water and sat purring under my chair. After a few minutes he came out looking for pets and a bit of playtime. I must not forget I have 2 indoor cats who would like playtime too… πŸ™‚

    Evening (anyone?)
Put me on list for pink rock too Joan. Will use it as objet d’art or cool paperweight. Back in day used to sell “pet rocks” in dept store jewellery dept. So purrhaps will give your gift a suitable name LOL. Also sold “mood rings”.
Buttons, never thought I’d nearly pass out from cuteness of kit eating, although like seeing Dorry stoke up. But Noodle, looks like mouthful is almost too much for one bite! Miss Nutini looks like she’s supervising.
As for Mr. B. in “interesting” mask that you bought him. Well, what can I say that others, including yourself have probably onto already said LOL.
Let’s give bananas a break LOL. I like ’em – there I’ve said it. They come in very handy before spinning class where one risks passing out from lack of energy and potassium. Chocolate has a good place in the world too. I will not list the noms that I will not go near LOL.
As for fishing, my catch comes from the fish store, ready to go, on ice LOL.

Hey KJ πŸ™‚ yes Nutini was supervising πŸ™‚ she loves her raw food too πŸ™‚

I was doing a lot of “bonding time” with her over the last few days and decided to give a go at training her to give the paw like Buttons used too ( I trained him to sit, give the paw to stand on command)… Nutini already is excellent at sitting on command but I never thought I ever Would get her to give the paw cause she doesn’t tollerate being touched.. And you wont believe it but with a bit of work I think we did it πŸ™‚

Now she’s still learning but I think you can see she understands the command now πŸ™‚

Awww Miss Nutini so sooo sweet. My “Hazel”/friend gets Dorry to give her “high five” same as paw when she leaves. Got him to do it surprisingly without treat as reward. Just by putting out my hand. Of course as in your vid, at times hard to tell whether gesture is friendly or borders on his trying to smack me LOL. He’s not big on lap sitting, and even though very slim cat, too big to sit comfortably on my lap LOL, but tonight he let me hold and cuddle him and even bury my face in his super soft belly fur. Must do wonders for my complexion. Too much information? Purrhaps. His tail would make ideal shadow/blusher brush as sometimes he watches me put my “look” together. Purrhaps not.
And has Mr. B. taken off that mask as yet? Hope so. πŸ˜‰

Lol yup he’s taken off then mask πŸ™‚ I think it’s next outing will be on a drunken night out πŸ˜†

It was difficult at first trying to get her to even let me touch her paw.. Then I wasn’t sure if getting her to willingly touch my hand was even possible .. But she did it.. Just another thing to pull her out of her shell .. I want to make sure she knows reaching for the treat isn’t the same as doing the hand touching action to get the treat.. She’s a smart girl though once she gets over her skittishness I’ll see what else I can train her to do …

Smart boy Dorry for giving high five!!

OK, so at times I try to teach Dorry to walk upright by holding him up, he finds it fun as he likes getting tickles at same time. Not going to happen anytime soon though LOL. But he does come to my calling his name, and although most say that it is sound and intonation, is it not possible that perhaps he understand and could speak English if he chose to? Whatever. We do have some good if one-sided discussions and one look at me tells me his opinion very clearly. πŸ˜‰ So I’m off to bed, or back to bed actually as rested just about all day, ’cause if I stay up too late I’ll regret it tomorrow. Very late or very early AM in IE, perhaps we should both attempt to get some sleep. Catch you tomorrow!

    Goodnight ladies πŸ™‚
Wonder if I could get Leela to do that, Buttons. It’s great that Nutini is learning “Paw”. And great for Dorry doing the “high paw”!

Oh, I just love the Nutini video. What a smart girl. You can see her thinking! Good morning to those who come after me. We’ve decided to try and get 90% of our stuff and the cats to the new house before the movers come, so we are borrowing cots, sleeping bags to camp out on the floor for a few nights. We’ll enclose the cats in a safe room with big warning signs not to open when the movers are bringing everything in. That worked well in Lubbock. I had been thinking they’d be safer here, but I think I’ll be too exhausted to pack and move the cats at the end of move in day. This way they’ll get to explore it without furniture for a few days, then with.

Oh yay… I think everyone will come through the wormhole for ECB’s sleepover πŸ™‚

Good idea with the safe room.. Better again if you can lock the door to be 100% safe..

Did I hear “sleepover”? You can count us in! Just have to find me a Hello, Kitty nightie. Dorry will arrive in his purrsonal fur jammies. The kits can do kitty things while we try out new hairdos and gossip – or not LOL!
BTW Dorry actually helped me make bed this am. Was tucking in bedspread evenly at head of bed and felt paws pulling from hem (sorta) and straightening it out. Let’s see if I can get him to fold laundry. πŸ˜€
Pouring out, dark and gloomy, supposedly for next few days. Off to gym then rest of day and back here in few hrs. Have a good am ECB and EST’ers all and good pm, Buttons.

Good morning everyone! Lazy here this morning.. kits passed out everywhere after their breakfast. Overcast and drizzly here too.
So excited for you ECB and good idea on keeping kits corraled in a room. I always worry about them escaping when furniture is delivered or bringing in something where door has to be propped. They are too nosey for their own good!
Buttons, I loved the videos of savage little Noodle eating his meat, LOL. And teeny Nutini knows exactly what she’s doing with her paw! I should try those things with my kits. Is Nutini a rescue? Did I miss why she doesn’t like to be touched? I would love to hear her story too.
Hey KJ, love the Hello Kitty nightie and I’m in on the hairdo’s and sleepover. If you do it again tonight that is, LOL!
Well, gonna make another cup of coffee and contemplate my day, maybe see if kits wanna help me make the bed. Willow got to biting me hard last night and I swatted his butt pretty good-he wasn’t chewing but biting hard. He went down into the blankets by my legs, then came back up and licked me on the chin, settled down and went to sleep. I figure his cat mom would have done that and I can’t have him drawing blood. It made me feel bad, but his kisses told me he was sorry so I felt a little less awful!
    Catch everyone later!

    Hey KZ,
Sleepover hasn’t happened yet. Would need official “invite” from ECB, LOL. Should we give her a chance to get settled a bit before we arrive, kits in tow?

Well, consider yourselves invited! Monday night is our goal for having the kits moved over and sleeping there. Bring food..lol. I’m planning things we can eat without pots and pans until those get delivered. We do have a refrigerator, micro and oven though. Going to make a bunch of hard boiled eggs today and some pork that tastes good cold or warm. And we have a charming healthy grocery store down the street where we could pick up sides or rolls as needed.

So we’ll be kinda having an indoor picnic too ECB πŸ™‚ …

Hey KZ.. I’m dealing with a biter here too Noodle is a viscous biter! He hasn’t drawn blood yet and in hoping he won’t especially seen as he’s already neutered I’m sure things will calm down when the teething finishes..

Oh here’s and old post about Nutini’s story πŸ™‚

She suffers from PTSD now because of her early experiences and you can only touch her if she approaches you.. Which was extremely rare when Buttons was still around.. She’s getting a little better now but she always suffer from PTSD we just have to do things at her pace..

The story of a very lucky cat!!
