Kitties have been up for hours, so we know they will be napping soon! There’s lots of action by the water, games in the woods, and snowball fights and snow human (snowman)making.
All of your favorite hot and cold noms & bevvies are st the buffet, and chef kitties await your custom order.
    Welcome!

Thanks Joan, I am so lazy today, still in jammies on my computer. Gotta get moving, but so tempting to stay in the lounge with you all and the kitties and bevvies…

    Morning Joan and KZ πŸ™‚

So good news today, my Dad is going home this morning….actually in a couple of hours, yay! Hard to believe it has been 23 days since his surgery, seems like it was so much longer.

Happy Caterday to all! I think I’ll grab a coffee and sit by the window a bit to watch the snowball fight: here in Illinois the weather has finally decided (a week before Labor Day) to get really hot. We’ve had a very mild summer so far, temps in 70s, but yesterday was 90s and very humid, and this morning is hazy out on the horizon, which I’m guessing is the humidity waiting to pounce again. (Haven’t ventured out to test it yet.) Maybe later I will find a cozy place for a morning nap with a furry pillow: what a lazy/relaxing way to spend the weekend (yawn…)

Hi KZ, Deb, PC and AV.
Super lazy here too, though I did strip the bed to do laundry. Hopefully I won’t have to make it after I’ve fallen asleep on the couch late tonight!
Deb, I am sooo happy that your dad is going home. Just being home is sure to help his recovery.
It was humid here this morning, but better now. Cloudy and somewhat cool today.

Hi there. Yeah, Joan that’s the worst….when you’re all sleepy and ready to go to bed and realize there are no sheets on it.

We hung pictures on the wall last night and today. So nice…only cardboard left now is a few things in hubby’s office (and in the garage, but we’re using that as storage space.)

Interesting house, it was Dick Clark’s house in California and has almost 360 views of the sea and the forest area πŸ™‚ Guess the wife really needs to sell it now that she is burying him in Sweden against everyone’s wishes but her own.

    …. afternoon ! … gerat links, as usual, Deb!….
…. yay for the work project done, Joan! …. I’ve booked Sven for you on the patio with a cold glass of Chardonay πŸ™‚
…. I may need him tomorrow evening, as I’ve got to work tomorrow, or my week will be miserably behind! …. nice thing is, Sunday’s are usually quiet (no phones… Mr. off playing golf….) I should hopefully be able to get a lot done, and have a decent start to a full week!

…. plus, I can have laundry going and a chicken baking in the oven while I’m working, so the house will smell delicious and a nice Sunday dinner will be done by the end of the day! ….

…. off to Brother’s for dinner, have a great evening everyone …

Glad you finished the project, Joan. Yuck to working on Saturday! And Sunday, AV. Though a chicken baking will make it more pleasant. Just used the last of our hand picked blueberries for a crisp. And during dinner we watched a wren sit in our tray feeder and eat seed for a while. Hubby even took pics.

    Morning all.
Dips glass at fountain and selects Danish pastry at the counter and wanders to the patio. Thanks Joan, great spread today.
Hi Joan,KZ,Deb,PC,AV, ECB. Wow, sounds like a code for something.
Deb, fantastic news about your Dad.
The weather is absolutely superb, beautiful sunny day with a light breeze and it’s hot on my balcony, so hot HRH Shadz has wandered off to find some shade and it’s Winter ! ! I have finally sown my capsicum seeds and have my tomato seedling sitting in the sun. I will have to dig through my seed box to see what else I can sow in trays. The birds are having fun with a ripe Granny Smith apple and the sounds of lawn mowers and children playing is ringing across the neighbourhood. Hubby went off fishing with a workmate at some dark too early hour this Sunday morning, he called me to say no fish yet. I love days like this that fool people into thinking Winter is over when it definitely isn’t. I’m evil. Bwahahahahahaha.
PC, sounds like we have similar days.
AV, have a delightful day with daughter chatting and laughing.
Joan, I hate discovering too late that I stripped the bed and haven’t made it again. I hope Sven appeared for you and well done on finishing the project, when you are done with him please send him here, I’ve had nagging headaches ever since my little accident, I think every part of my body was well and truly jolted and I could do with a great head/shoulder massage.
ECB, I love watching the birdlife in my yard too.

Oooh yummy, blueberry crisp! That’s fantastic that you have a wren, ECB, when there’s one, there will be more!
Hi MS, now if we could only figure out what that code means – the secret to world peace, perhaps? Nice to have a non-winter day in the middle of winter. Bwahahaha! I bet Shadz has found a great spot. Sven can fit you in and is on his way to the patio, then he will see AV tomorrow evening. My back feels much better, Sven has a good touch.
I got as far as getting the fitted sheet and the top sheet on the bed before “help” arrived in the form of a large black cat. Figured I would totally wreck my arm that’s already wracked with tennis elbow/arthritis/tendinitis, whatever it is, if I tried pulling the sheet around with Comet on board. At least the bed is fairly ready for slumber.
I invited Mac in again, to test the atmosphere. Looks like Leela is the wildcard. So far, she hissed at me when I petted her with Mac near. Then Comet came and sat right where Mac was and she growled at him. Her feelings for Comet haven’t changed! I’m so torn. Mac can’t come in permanently unless I am VERY confident there won’t be fighting. Like you said MS,my kitties must come first. Will still look for a home for him, he is such a lovely cat, he deserves a happy home.

Gosh Joan, maybe little introductions each day with Mac will desensitize everybody a bit and it will be no big deal if he comes in to stay. We can hope anyway, you know how hissy girl cats can be sometimes, I think much more so than boys.
ECB it’s awesome you have a wren…I’ve only seen a couple around here and not regularly. The birds HATE the seed that Mr. KZ bought last time, lol! They were going thru it like nobody’s business, then he bought some with cracked corn in it and they just stopped eating it. He even cracks corn for them in the winter and puts it in little piles and they devour it, but they won’t touch this seed. Weird little birds!
Calling all cat ladies: KJ, ECB, PC, MS, Deb, Joan, and AV! Sounds like Radar calling across the loudspeaker on MASH!!! (I’m really dating myself here, lol)
PC, it has been so hot and humid here, I don’t even want to go outside. It even doesn’t smell good, kind of like rotten weeds or something, yuck. You get the weather first, send it to me here in Ohio and I pass it on up to Joan…look out Joan it has been rainy, grey and humid, lol.
AV, chicken roasting in the oven sounds so good…tried to work on farm books today and Willow kept laying across it. Finally had to shoo him off the desk. He has started a rotten habit of getting me up in the morning by jumping up on my vanity and removing my makeup brushes from the jar and taking them downstairs, banging the handles on each step as he goes down…sigh. I had to put them up, then when I’m ready to use them they aren’t where they need to be…little stinker. Plus he chews on them and makes them wet, ugh.
