Ok so after giving Leela her treats and lysine, I thought I would show her my treasures. She hissed and growled at the black cat! She just sniffed the tiger and bunny.

SNS, LOL at the Fish Heads vid. I’ve never eaten fish head before but I can see there is a lot of good meat in the cheeks, I won’t be trying the eyes. (shudder). In fact Mr MS will be taking them to work for his workmates to eat. I have saved a thick tail end for myself, no ugh factor eating that.
Joan try looking your bunny up online. Miss Leela doesn’t recognise quality.
Just beginning to rain here and looks like it will be hanging around for at least a week. πŸ™ Wet Easter πŸ™ πŸ™

Hey Nirmal, I remember that tune! Heard it on the “Dr. Demento Show”! And yes, I sing it too!

Joan, you found some real treasures. That cracks me up that Leela hissed and growled at the stuffed black cat. So it’s not just Comet…

Had a nice visit with hubby’s sister and her husband yesterday. She loves cats (has three) so she asked if she could meet ours. Sure, they’re shy, I told her. But we crept into the back of the house quietly and they were all asleep so she got to see and even pet each of them briefly…even ultra shy Emily.

She told me the stories of her three cats…all had fended for themselves outdoors before finding a human to care for them. One, who looks like Leo, showed up with a gaping neck wound, so she got to invest $600 up front to adopt that sweetie. But he rewards her every night with snuggles and purrs so loudly that she has to do her night time reading in the living room, since the purring keeps her husband up. They are all indoor/outdoor cats and the hunting stories are amazing. One night she woke up to the sound of one of them crunching into a flying squirrel right in her bedroom…lol. It actually gave me some encouragement about Lucy’s situation. Maybe she, too, will fend for herself until she finds the right human to help her.

Good morning, Deb. Happy Palm Sunday.

Hubby grew up in a church tradition with all the palm waving and procession. So we’ll do that this morning. I sort of wanted to visit my church I attended (with friends, my family wasn’t churchgoing) this morning. But it is totally non-liturgical (I didn’t even know what lent was until I was an adult) so my husband was like…not on Palm Sunday! Which I can understand…him being an ordained priest and all…lol.

I love air shows! The one here generates quite a bit of traffic as well. I do miss Jane Wicker, wing-walker.

My parents sometimes came up to my house on Palm Sunday and dad would bring me a Palm. That was my real b-day as far as he was concerned. Mom said it was because he couldn’t remember my actual birth date!

Morning EC and Joan! ….. I’m getting ready to drive with Mr. AV to Orlando to help Dau pack/move, and to bring Miss Cuddles back home….. Dau found out that one of her new roommates has a goggie, and our poor Queen would be so stressed, she just doesn’t want to put her through that! ….. so home she comes, she’ll miss Dau terribly, but it’s familiar and she knows she’s loved……

… we had a nice family Passover with brother and family last night, and am looking forward to Easter celebration with Sister and her family next Sunday …… Dau will be home too, and we’ll celebrate her birthday (plus Cuddles with get to see her) …… it’s going to be a warm week for us here (80s) looks like Spring has definitely sprung here, and headed to a steamy summer! ….. hope everyone has a great day!

    Hi all,
Someone was looking out for KJ today, ’cause there was a huge flood in bldg, someone’s hot water tank burst and thankfullymy apt/locker were not at all affected. Phew! Would not have been fun in the midst of getting ready for Passover.
Used to see more peeps in street carrying palms as there are several church services in area, or my timing was wrong.
Thanks, kits, but I’ll pass on the palms, by tomorrow pm will be totally into this:

Kit even slightly resembles Dorry, who will not be getting any matzah – just his kibble for duration, he’s extremely happy, loathes his wet food.

Since we lost Lucy on a Sunday, I’ve been remembering her by posting a photo on Facebook each week. Today I posted this one..
