Good evening everyone!!! When I got up this morning, very early, the moon was GORGEOUS and the stars were SO bright and big that I wanted to reach up and grab one! So crisp and clear.

Did you know I have now retired and am a lady of leisure? It’s great, except I’ve been so busythat I haven’t had much leisure!

It’s lashing it down here, Bumblebee. No stars or moon visible, just lots of clouds.

So Chaos and AV, guess I can “virtually” visit you when Winter hits as a force majeur (been doing translation project, thinking in French all pm, means major force). Just kiddin’ about the visit :-). Here we get to “look forward” to wind chills as low as 40 degrees below zero; snow covering everything so that one has to de facto slide down stairs until the super shovels them; when it warms slightly we get freezing rain where one gets to practice their skating skills (mine are nil); car drivers calling CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) to dig them out of the drifts and envying walkers (which fortunately I am). The there was the infamous “Ice Storm ’98” where I had to “rely on the kindness of others” or else face a week in a crowded shelter. Many retirees who are able to head to your area AV, from now ’til April. But me complain? No, never. LOL

You retired?? When did this happen? Congratulations! Enjoy your life of whatever it is 🙂

I’m reasonably OK, head not so good right now, going to a pain management program on Wednesday in hopes of getting some relief. They’re going to try injecting Botox in the back of my head/neck/shoulder (eek). I’m highly skeptical but also highly hurting, so we’ll give it a go.

So nice to have you here PM!!!! YAY! My sister has that problem as well. Since retired, is so busy she says she doesn’t know HOW she ever had time to “work”! LOL

Kilroy, what is the reason we need to “friend” people here? Do you know? I can see everyone’s response, so I am puzzled… LOL

Mr. K is very good at filling his “retirement” with projects. He juggles for 10 minutes a day, studies Spanish, does most of the cooking/shopping/cleaning, and makes regular trips to the pub. Oh, and takes naps 🙂

Ah yes PM! I left my corporate job for the freelance realm a few years ago and now I work on fulfilling projects (and long hours) when they comes my way or volunteer (equally satisfying). And agree, strangely busier, but I do what I want when I want to. Well I certainly put in my “time”. Enjoy this new phase in your life! And that brandy :-).

BB, friending isn’t a requirement, but it can make it a little easier to find a particular person’s posts. Someone (forgive me, can’t remember who) said think of it as connecting rather than friending; once you’re connected it’s easier to see what the other person has written. I don’t often go back looking for old posts, so it’s not an issue. As I said on WWM’s recent thread, I consider us all friends here.

Haven’t seen Deb here or on FB yet, so I am praying she is getting some much needed sleep!

Well, I cleaned Leela’s cubby out where she’s been living. Got a lot of fur out and decided to put a small round pillow in there. She doesn’t know what to make of it yet. Maybe the problem is that the pillow’s fabric is Giants football! Sigh, my poor, hapless Giants team.
Leela got a good brushing today too, purring the whole time, as she sat on her freshly cleaned bed at the window. If she doesn’t take to the cubby’s new padding, she will sleep in the box next to the bed by me. Comet knows better than to come too close – he just comes close enough to look.

Oh and BB, I agree, the moon and stars were amazing after the rain cleared out – it was a beautiful day here!

    Paws Up!
Another superbly sunny day here and HRH Shadz is making the most of it. She can’t decide where to lie down though and gone from the sunny spot under the deck to the long grass by the rhubarb and then sprawling on the deck. It’s a hard life being a cat.
Chaos what a great pic of Harry with his cone, I hope his bladder settles down soon.
KJ, too cold there? There’s always the wormhole to pop through so you can warm up here.
Waving at PM, good to see you.

Something cute: Chaos, it’s especially for Harry and other black kitties and tuxies, I believe JK has one? And my Rainbow Bridge tuxie Nicky 1998-2011 (my very first pet/kitty and I love my Dorry but Nicky trained me and showed me what unconditional love is. Now I’m getting all weepy. Good evening/whatever all!

Haha KJ, I’ve always had a weakness for black cats. I knew I was in trouble when I opened that box at the humane society and found a blackie!!
