    Hi all!
Sooo thrilled to hear Noodles is home and playing. The pictures of him in his jumper are precious.

We’re having a fairly quiet day here. Bluebelle, like Willow, has been ‘helping’ (or, is that distracting) with chores today. Here’s her helping with the laundry:
On that note, I really do need to set up a photobucket. Too lazy just yet, lol.

In other news: Bluebelle pooped in the litter box for the first time today! In the middle of cleaning my room and she comes running over, meowing, and I see that her bum is dirty, so run to get the litterbox and she took to it straight away. Made an utter mess, but I’m proud just the same. If only she’d warned me before she’d peed all over the floor, LOL.

Going to start the weaning process today as she turns 4 weeks tomorrow and has a mouth FULL of teeth. I think she’ll be a fairly quick transitioner, but we’ll see.

In other exciting news (sorry, I have to share): My in-the-works pet treat business got it’s first sponsorship opportunity this week. A Japanese dog breed event is being held downtown this September, and I was approached for sponsorship. My logo will be out there, and I’ll be offering biscuit bags for game prizes. Very excited! I think this is the universe telling me to get my act together, because before now I have been procrastinating in getting this business truly up and running.

Hope everyone else’s day is going just as well!

That is just amazing that Noodle is so blasΓ© about that leg being gone (I’d be moaning and sobbing in bed for 6 months). He looks so healthy and sweet. Thank you for the pics. I am going to save them. I know that the vets have always told me they give the FELV shot in the rear leg because there is a chance it might cause cancer and necessitate the leg being amputated (I do not use this vaccine anymore myself), and the vets always said it is easier for a cat to do w/o a rear leg, so little Noodle looks like he is coping extraordinarily well for missing a front limb.

    How is his eye doing?

Oh he is Oona he’s doing very well.. He’s resting now I expect he will be resting for most of tomorrow.. The vaccines themselves will take it out of him..

The FeLV vaccines have changed slightly well the ones over here anyway .. The risk of site tumors are minimum with the new vaccine.. ..

He’s had his pain meds for the night now so he should be very comfortable..

I see. Well, then, I feel I must refer you to this website:

    http://www.metacamkills.com/

Also, you can read the warnings about its use in cats here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metacam

You may already know all this.

Thank you for those links Oona .. I will deffinately read them.. I’ve never heard of metacam ( meloxicam)before but I assumed it’s very similar to Loxicom..

I have used Loxicom for years and found it very helpfull hope fully it’s a different folumla but I will read up now to make sure πŸ™‚

Here’s the little man getting back to his giddy self

My gang of fur balls send warm fuzzies for a speedy recovery…it seems Mr. Noodle has got the speedy part down. He is so happy to be with his furever family. Hugs to you and Miss Nutuni.

    πŸ™‚ thank you pussitago πŸ™‚

Yes Oona I think it is the Irish equivalent .. Ingredients look similar and the renal failure warning is on the info leaflet..

By the looks of it the “Loxicom” only reported very rare incidents of renal failure but that was with very long term use or repeated use in a short period of time.. Thankfully Noodle only has been prescribed it for 4 days … I don’t think I’ve ever used it longer than 4 days on any of my dogs or cats so I assume that’s at a safe level..

I no longer use it for my dog BoBo as she needs long term pain relief because of arthritis I now add turmeric and fish oils to her food daily and that works well for her πŸ™‚

Have read a couple of articles here on some Vets deciding to do vaccinations in the tail now, if there is a problem then losing a piece or part of the tail is easier than losing a limb.

Afternoon all! …. back from busy errands, came in my office to turn on my computer and what do I find? Miss Abbigale Violet precariously curled on on my ergonomic chair, fast asleep! …seriously, this cannot be comfortable, but because I use it all the time, apparently she thought it might be a good idea to try it out! LOL ….. here’s what the chair looks like

Note the slant ….. she must have to brace herself to even stay on the thing! LOL

Yay for Bluebelle, Emily – it’s a start anyway. And conCATS on your business venture. Maybe you will be able to sell the treats on the TDK store, there are plenty of TDKr’s who have dogs or friends with dogs – treats make great Christmas gifts!
Oona, thank you for posting those links.

Nik Kazoura and his friend from YouTube comedy sketch group “The Kloons” record an everyday conversation between Nik’s mother and aunt then hilariously act it out while lip-syncing. Apparently, 30-year-old men can channel 60-year-old women.

Just showed the Noodle vid to hubby, he is amazed at how well he is getting around.
Deb, the dolphin vid is amazing – have never heard of that behavior.
The green light vid made me laugh till I cried! We have the woodsy version of it here, having to stop to wait for geese or ducks or swans with babies deciding on whether to cross the road.
Comet is a happy camper at the moment. Washed sheets and they came out of the dryer not quite dry, so I draped them over a chair. A fort, yay!
