    Happy Wednesday!!!

For those on American soil, one more day till Thanksgiving!! Yeah!!! So it’s a short work week which is nice for everyone!

I brought out the buffet with all the nummies and hot coffee, chocolate and tea.

Agency kitties are ready for love and cuddles.

Also a wish for a safe trip to Kilroy who leaves for Egypt on Saturday! Don’t want to miss wishing her a very happy vacation, and a Happy 1st Anniversary

Morning or rather really late evening jcat! Hope you feel better and get some good quality rest.

CM, work tonight (Holiday pay you know) but off tomorrow night and then work overtime on Friday night. My daughter is getting ready too, her doc told her that as long as she holds on two more weeks then the baby is cooked and ready to serve its duty…..she now says that the eviction notice has been served, lol! Told her that she might want to get ready for the baby NOT to listen as they usually don’t to our whims 🙂 Hope that her baby is a pleasant child, as she was very quiet and never raised much of a fuss while growing up….no that came much later when the stubborness set in, lol.

Good morning, TDK’ers! I told my cats this morning that momma would be home with them for 4 days and we could enjoy being together. I don’t think they were too impressed, but I know when I’m home they do like the extra petting and attention.

Aw, thanks guys for the good wishes. I’m really getting excited about the trip; I’m about to run off to the bookstore & look for a good (long) book for the flight, or maybe another book of crosswords, the ones I have are all mostly solved.

We have a really nice apartment sitter/George sitter coming to stay at our place, and he’s already met George so I think all will be well. Part of me doesn’t want to go, though, just when George and I are getting on good terms. I’m going to miss my fuzzbutt!

CM, I’m soooo excited about little Abbie, she’s coming 2 days after my birthday, yay! Don’t worry for a minute about anything; we’ve all got your back (and I’m sure Wayne does too).

Hubby and I went out for dinner last night with some of his tennis buddies and their wives; it was nice but I’m still stuffed! I don’t think I’m eating anything this morning, but coffee would be nice.

    Happy Wednesday, all.

Thanks, Joan. I’m glad we crossed paths here this a.m.; I feel like I missed you the last few days. I loved reading about Leela putting her lion in between your pillows for safekeeping. She must feel like everything is all upside down and inside out in her world right now; I’m glad she’s got you and Larry for comfort.

Kilroy, make sure you get a good long book for that trip. Do you get a layover or is it a straight flight to Egypt?

I thought about you when we were scheduling the surgery…It was either the 14th or 16th(I wanted the 16th) but the 16th was booked up so we had to choose the 14th. I remembered your birthday when we were looking at dates 🙂

We’ve got a direct flight from Kennedy to Cairo; I think it’s about 10 1/2 hours (2 hours longer coming back) – ugh. There are definitely upsides to not having to transfer; I’m just hoping I can sleep for some part of it. We leave at 6:30pm, so I might do something crazy like not sleep Friday and hope I crash on the plane.

Off to Borders now, back in a bit.

Thanks Kilroy – I think most planes fly around north Jersey before heading east so look for the crazy lady on the mountain waving wildly to you!

I loved finding Larry between the pillows! The comfort certainly goes both ways. I feel bad for Leela being cooped up all day. When I get home, the contractors are still there and she hears my voice and starts crying for me. I can’t let her out till they leave. It’s wonderful when she can come out. We exercise her like crazy and she loves laying in front of the woodburner. She is helping us tremendously by just being herself and we give her tons of attention. It eases a stressful time for all of us.

I’m back, considerably poorer, but I got 2 books of short stories, a ginormous book of New York Times crosswords, and “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini. I’m actually worried that the crossword book might be too big to travel with, but if I decide not to take it I’ll just have something to look forward to when we get home.

Joan, I’m glad you and Leela are helping each other get through all the renovation craziness – it must be really stressful. Please tell me your not hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year 🙂

Nope 🙂 We were considering hosting Christmas, but it doesn’t look like that will happen. At the very least, we’re hoping we can have a tree. Leela must have a tree for her first Christmas! Think of the photo ops! *Joan gets a visual of Leela clinging to the top of the tree just like Shaddo did on his first Christmas!*
