Buttons – arnica – ice off and on for 10-20 mins – pain meds – doctor if not better. No lifting, not even of the purries. And I’m in no way a professional, but you do not want to make this worse. And trust me I am better at giving advice than receiving it.

Good advice – Arnica, reminds me to stop at co-op for some.
I have back issues from shoe place fun/on – off stools/bending over feet LOL!
Usually use topical pain med cream on lower back as remedy!
    Still NO FUN as backache!

Well, looking for more fun as part 2 at that place – back to desk for usual fun on budget…later!

Set out to clean out a closet today, yikes. You all know what that means, one closet leads to another, and another… This closet was one that had a stash of cat food near the furnace a couple of years ago. Those darn mice not only dared to enter a house with cats, but stole their food too! Thankfully, no stash of cat food this time. Hoping word of Comet’s presence has gotten around.
I actually knew what you meant by broken back, Buttons, sorry I didn’t comment to clarify. There’s a bit of Irish blood in me too, apparently! (I didn’t know this until relatively recently.) πŸ™‚ I found that a heating pad helped when my back was bothering me last week.

Yay, almost time to exit stage left.
Need to make one errand than back home to kits & indoor KP!
Wishing all a better than expected rest of today!
Hey Tux…oh, see you finally came out from hiding under lounge chair.
Crane friend has gone down the road looking for TDK FB – LOL!
Mwah, come on out for smooch…later all!

    See ya laters Jean πŸ™‚

Oh those daring mice .. But they’re so darn cute! I rember we got three in the mobile one year when Lady Muck was around and he was so lazy I actually managed to catch one of the mice in a foil tube and when the poor mouse popped out infront of Lady Mucks Nose he just stared at it πŸ™‚ πŸ˜† he was a funny boy ..

Back feeling a little better .. Getting up and moving around tomorrow will help too..

In bed now and Noodle is outside the door trying to get me to play fetch with him and his Mr Happy toy πŸ™‚

They all got raw beef liver for dinner this evening and they loved it.. It’s been a while since I’ve done the raw diet properly . Mainly started it for Buttons and lost the will to start again properly after I lost him but will get back on track for the furrys now.. Must talk to local butcher and see what variety I can get.. He gave me what I thought were lamb hearts today they aren’t they are pork hearts .. Cats shouldn’t eat raw pork hearts a lot of parasites & larva present in raw pork hearts … Will boil them up for doggies tomorrow..

See you on the flip side, JK!
Saw a tag for Harumph Day. Reminds me of Mel Brooks in a scene from Blazing Saddles. “Hey, I didn’t get a Harumph outa that guy!”
Ok, so I love finding “free stuff” in my home. Among the toiletries, towels, etc. I found an unopened bag of cotton balls (bonus: extra large), a box of cotton swabs and a can of Yoo-hoo. Found my elbow brace, nitris oxide breather for dental procedures (you can’t use one at the dentist without buying it & insurance doesn’t cover it) and a huge stash of ace bandages and gauze. Oh, and really, how many toilet seat covers does one household need? Sheesh!

Hehe Buttons, I hear you about Lady Muck. Years ago we heard a mouse just under the stove top. Hubby lifted it and got the mouse. Lifted it by the tail and held it in front of a somewhat supervising Shaddo and Jiggs. They were beyond unimpressed. Silly kitties!

Hahaha at Joan for unexpected goodies in closet! I always say my house may look neat and tidy, but DON’T open a closet! LOL! I HATE to clean them out. I have stuff I haven’t seen for 25 years I bet. 😯
Buttons, when I read about your back, I wondered if it might not be an Irish phrase that meant something quite different than actually ‘breaking your back’. When that happens to me it’s usually a muscle spasm, but it is so painful. The heating pad works for me too along with ice like KJ said.

    Hello all!
The other half of seeds in tube feeder is gone now! Hummm…. was it the squirrels or the birds??? A mystery… I’ll fill it tomorrow and try to watch.
Thank you all for the sweet get well wishes and prayers for darling Louie. Daddy went to see her last night and she wasn’t too happy, but when he picked her up and she smelled him, she snuggled into his armpit. AWW…. Today the vet called his wife to tell her that Louie was quacking! So wife called hubby at work right away to tell him. He told us, and we are all SO glad! I told him that she probably misses “daddy” and is quacking to call to him. She must miss her pool, and is in a strange place (the vets… and will be there for awhile too). She will have to stay in their house, I imagine, when she comes home. I said she needs a very LONG….. turtleneck to cover her featherless skin. I asked “daddy” to give her a kiss from me tonight when he visits her. I am so sad and heartbroken over this…. Thankfully, she seems to be doing better each day! I will keep you all updated! You guys are SO awesome!!! HUGS

    Hey Buttons,

Not sure if you’re online and don’t know if this is viable for your babies but I thought I share this info. Miss Moppet has a sensitive stomach and occasionally will vomit and have loose stools for no apparent reason. The vet and I discussed treating her at home as long as she no other symptoms. When she has a flare up I start giving her Pepcid AC or Famotidine. It reduces the stomach acid in the her tummy and can prevent heartburn. She gets .25 of 10 mg tablet daily x 2 days. It the original formula not the continuous release.

Hope your back is feeling not so bad. Give your babies gentle skritches from me. Enjoy your mini vaca.

    PG

I back to bed with tea and purry nurses.

Feel better PG, and let your purry nurses take care of you.
BB, I would love to look at the moon but it’s too cold out! Ok, maybe I’ll look for a minute…

Afternoon all, finally got to the Cafe. Hot hot hot day here and I am so glad I am now inside by the fan.
KZ, no rain sadly. it went to other places with thunder storms but they needed it just a badly as we do. May have rain this weekend though, fingers crossed.
Chuckling here at the image I get of Comte in his dorky swim shorts with sharks on them.
LOL, @ go away and stop stalking me. Great pic.
Buttons, sorry you hurt your back, not asking how you did it though. πŸ˜‰ 😯 Go for arnica cream, I find it kills pain too.
LOL at the wing wars at your place. I tried HRH Shadz the great raw meat eater with chicken wings and she looked at me as if I had just out poison in front of her and walked off. WTH! Go figure – no don’t try and figure out a cat, it’s impossible.
    JK, chocolate cake! Mmmmmmmm.
Joan, closet cleaning. Do I have a closet for you to clean, it’s the under stair closet and there is so much on there. Even had a blow up boat in there until Meegz decided she wanted it one holiday. LOL at the ‘free stuff’, always a great find.
KZ, i’m with you on the ‘don’t open a closet’ thing.
BB, so fantastic to hear Louie is quacking and that she snuggled up with her daddy on a visit. Isn’t love grand when it can heal like that.

Hey MS, sorry it’s so hot. It’s crazy cold here. Tdk land is a unique place; not only is it climate controlled, but I bet world peace could be achieved.
Cleaning this closet makes way for a box of stuff that I’ve been tripping over. Then I can get into my bedroom closet. You would somewhat like it as it is, the summer stuff is still up front, but winter stuff is pulled within reach. Hard to believe Leela lived in there.
Glad to hear Louie is on the mend! How cute that she snuggled.

And why shouldn’t a diva kit as Miss Leela have a walk-in closet, it’s only right! LOL OK, I meant walk-in, not stay-in. In my purrfect world I would have one of those walk-in closets, ie a room turned into a closet with all those organizer thingies. I do very well with self-made system, but still. I always laugh when I see like IKEA ads where model closet has 5 shirts, 6 sweaters and 8 prs of shoes. Like, really. Clearly those systems know nothing of KJ. πŸ˜‰

Yes, Miss Leela had a nice apartment there for a while. When organized, I can take one full step in and be able to turn around.

Skids into cafe before poking nose into Thursdays cafe in a minute πŸ™‚

MS sending some cooling breezes your way we have plenty to spare πŸ™‚ πŸ˜† silly Shadz turning her nose up at perfectly good raw meat πŸ™‚ I suppose she hunts a little anyway… Lol… Not telling ya exactly how I hurt the back πŸ˜† but it’s a lot better
today that’s for the advice guys!! It really helped!!

PG I’m deffinetly gonna run that by vet today .. I must go into pay bill (again)

Breaking ones back is most certainly an Irish saying πŸ™‚
Another one is “having a gammy back” πŸ™‚

Ok am having a lazy morning so will catch an hour of shut eye..
