Would you trust your ‘puter to the (not so) gentle ministrations of your kit(s)? Me neither.

Morning all! Love the pics! ….. computers can be our best friend and our worst nightmare at the same time! …. amazing how much technology has wormed it’s way into our lives! Even my 86 year old mother is addicted to her smart phone, and uses phrases like ‘I’ll google that’ …. LOL

I’d like to say fall is here, but temps are still in the upper 80s here πŸ™ I’m craving soups, but right now it’s still too hot! …. another busy day, have a good one all, check you guys later!

Morning everyone! I love my computers! It’s really hard to imagine life without them. I remember in my business classes learning to cut stencils, run a mimeograph machine, now they are obsolete, along with the IBM selectric typewriters (which were at the top of the line then) and of course the old standard manual typewriters. I will always be a keyboarder though, even if I don’t have a regular keyboard, the laptop will have one. I don’t like the touch keyboards much, but hey, what can you do? 😳
If forgot to mention that my cats caught a mouse the other evening! I heard a ruckus downstairs, seriously sounded like somebody was walking around. They were all excited and jumping straight up from the floor. When I looked at Leona, SHE is the one that actually had her mouth on it. She growled when I took it away, but it had already died of fright. Poor thing. So glad that I didn’t wake up to it laying on my pillow!! πŸ˜†

    Morning all!

And a cold one weather-wise. Purrhaps even some snowflakes will make their untimely apurrance! 😯

Miss Leona has demonstrated grrrl power – although I do feel a bit sorry for the mousie (says she who lives in the big city and has never seen a mouse in the house.) Now if I woke up to a mousie on my pillow – well suffice it to say that it would be very not good! Freak-out would be understatement!

Now tech-wise, my Meadow-dweller Nicky once disconnected me from a phone call by pressing the button with his paw! It was a business call. I’m not sure that my explanation when I re-dialed made me look overly brilliant in my client’s opinion. Somewhat along the lines of “dog ate my homework.” πŸ™„

As my Philo course is in hiatus for a few wks I’m taking opp to check out salon supply shop in kewel n’hood. My brush actually broke in half! Excuse to get new one. I need 2 sizes of round brushes to maintain my super short haircut – amazing. However my plans do not include blowing big $$$ on hairbrushes (but we’ll see!) πŸ˜‰

Plus my online order of 2 sweaters-worth of yarn is waiting for me at post office. Mail purrson seems to come the moment that I step out. Feels like a b-day gift even though it’s from me to me. πŸ˜‰

Also good opp to take advantage of full day before 6 pm spin class. Back to to routine such as it is after all the hols. Have a good one all and l8r!

Good morning – yes it is hard to imagine life without computers. And oh, those IBM Selectrics were the shiny new toy of the school! They didn’t have auto correct, but I had fun correcting typos with chalk.
Like the kitty in the pic says, I like the pictures!
Dewey keeps coming in the house, and he’s getting pretty cozy! The trio don’t seem to mind, though Mac seems a bit jealous at times.
It’s a brisk fall day here in Jersey. We had a hard freeze last night, yikes!

Hi, everyone. I’ve missed the ‘talks’ but have been trying to keep up by reading each day but not too successful. I have so much to read that I’ll never get caught up.

Anyway, please know I always appreciate the pictures. So often it’s the one thing that raises my spirits and makes me laugh no matter how busy I am.

I live in South Carolina and detest winter but I heard from the national weather report that the South’s winter is going to be warmer and with less precipitation—Yeah! Usually, rather than snow, we get ice storms—ugh!

I fell onto the concrete floor of the garage landing on my bottom and severely bruised my sciatic nerve on the left. Now I know how people who have bouts of sciatica suffer! It’s been 2 weeks and no better. On a pain scale of 1 to 10, it’s a 15!

    Warmest regards to all. Dell

I think the store was listed under Forums, but I don’t see it now. Purrhaps a question for @kittenmaster

That dismal weather is headed this way, JK, and may even be in the form of s**w in the morning, eek! I’ve been out walking too these days – not nearly as much as earlier this year, but enough to get a decent workout and enjoy the fall foliage. Niece is supposed start walking so the days I’m with her we’ll be getting out too.

Hi Dell – ouch, sorry about your injury. I guess there’s not much you can do about a bruised sciatica except rest, ice and pain relievers. Hope you start to feel better soon. Oooh, ice storms are the worst! Where I live any form of frozen precipitation is bad, for the road down the mountain twists and turns. I’m thankful for when I can be home and not have to drive!

Afternoon all! ….. ouchie on the foot woes, Lois! …. I have orthotics that I put in my shoes that really help me …. they sell some pretty good ones at CVS or Walgreens, maybe try those?
JK, I don’t see the TDK store either, like JJ said, KM will need to weigh in on that!
I found out that Caddy is also an excellent hunter …. ‘headless bird’ gift at back steps night before last πŸ™‚

Sounds like every has had a good day so far, I need to finish mine up! *paws waving* everyone!

Dell, I do hope that you recover from your injury and its related pain real soon.

Busy-ish day. Salon supply store was awesome. Bought me a new brush but way less expensive than usual retail price and no taxes. Need another one for the gym where I keep duplicates of all my hair appliances etc. but they have to order it, should be in next wk. And I appreciate that clerk didn’t push me into buying stuff. They did have the cutest powerful little blow dryer, but considering that I already have 2, or rather 4 plus just about every other pawsible appliance, well no, and clerk agreed that one doesn’t need stuff just ’cause it’s cute. Then went into jewellery making store and bought me some stuff for earrings and necklaces. Fun!

Winter is for sure on it’s way. But get this – lots of H’Ween deco in n’hood – plus one lit Xmas tree – hard to believe, like there’s 2 months to go! A tad early I’d say.

Spin class was unbelievably tough as per Wed. class. Still having trouble coming down off high. So time I sorted out tomorrow’s CafΓ© and took self off to bed. Catch you all on Thursday!

Thanks to JerseyJoan, Katzenjammer, Jeankit and AV for the get-well wishes. AV, the injury isn’t to my foot—it’s to my bottom!lol As I’m sure you all know, the sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body and runs from your buttock down the back of the leg to the foot. So, not only is my bottom in pain but it hurts the left leg to walk. Don’t want to make a big deal of it, though, it’ll get better.

Talking about computers, I’d be lost without mine but I still call it “The Time Thief.” There’s so much out there that I can get lost for hours. Isn’t it amazing—you can look up anything!

Just cleaned out the freezer—there was food that had been in there for years! I’ve got to take it all to the dump tonight. I threw everything away. I’m trying to get only organic but it’s proving to be a bit difficult.

You know, it is so comforting to see posts from familiar people everyday. I was wondering where Yuri Ben suddenly disappeared to. I was looking back at older daily chats and see how some people come and go. That’s understandable b/c I have gone days without checking in but I do so enjoy reading your daily posts. Maybe you’ll think I’m weird but I’ll say it anyway: I feel like I’ve made some new and special friends since I began “talking” with you, especially katzenjammer, pussigato, AV, JerseyJoan, Moonshadow, legata, and kittyzee. Okay, touchy-feely is over and thanks for letting me say that.

Getting late, must get moving. Goodnight and kind regards to all.

You’re not weird, Dell! TDK has that effect; there are some good friends here. Some do come and go, and others post occasionally, but there sure is a secure and happy vibe to TDK.
