I’m needing fashion advice! Anyone think that these would be a good choice for wearing with snow/black ice on the sidewalks? Although they are go-with-everything basic black, thinking not hehehe. 😉

Although gorgeous, these boots wouldn’t do in Denver. The curved sole doesn’t rest of the ground so I’d easily slip.

I don’t think that I could even walk or stand in these boots, wonder if anyone can! They should have a danger warning on label LOL. Well I’m headed out to gym, streets clear, nonetheless I’m wearing my well treaded Aquatalia suede winter loafers, warm yet stylish, L8R.

    Good morning – parfaits, yum!
AV, have a blast in LV, and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh those boots are beautiful. I’m not sure if I could wear them at all, certainly not in the snow. Workboots for me!
I’ll be working on desserts today, as well as making applesauce in the crockpot.
5 customers this morning. 3 black cats (Huey, Dewey and Louie), Mama Cat and Berta. The wee black female has her own schedule. At this point I have to hope that Munchkin does indeed belong to someone, and is cozy and warm in her home. I sure miss Squeeker.
Added another lap to my walk today. If I added a few more loops or a lap around the pool I could have hit 4 miles, but I was getting tired and came home at 3.5.

More leaves to rake before the rain comes! Carpet of gold maples in my backyard – looks pretty…free aerobics soon!
Busy here so will sneak back to desk…hope to be around for lunchtime snooze…later!

Nice day on the TDK patio, as always. Hope germs were not too generously shared, JK.
Apple sauce is brewing, straw is in the big enclosure, next to make dessert. Thinking of chocolate eclair squares.

Nice day on the patio for sure Joan, and even here at home too. Tomorrow in the 60’s, and looking forward to lazy day. All I have to make is a salad to take to sister and brother in laws house to go with steak on the grill. I will be fixing turkey on Saturday for everyone, along with all the trimmings. Had to let the stove go out this afternoon, it just got too hot in here! Sure do love the heat that it puts out though, nothing like it.
Have a safe trip AV, enjoy the cooler weather in LV!!
JK, hope the boss didn’t give everyone his cold–ugh–not nice when people come to work sick!
KJ, there is no way I would venture out in the snow in those boots! Actually, I wouldn’t try them on a dry sidewalk either! Those things would make me almost 7 foot tall, LOL!

My niece, grand niece and me went for pedicures then I was at my nephews’ helping organizing Turkey Day dinner. We were deciding what else needs to be made for dinner. 18 people are expected and we have to figure out how to set up tables and chairs.

Since this morning the temperature has dropped 15 degrees. The snow should start this evening and then temps. will drop below 15f/-8c for the rest of the weekend. The storm is a slow moving so we may have snow all weekend. Wee

I’m binge watching “The Man in the High Castle.” It’s a novel by Phillip K. Dick. He wrote sic-fi along the lines of “1984” or “Metropolis.”

Great job on your walk, JJ. Every little bit makes a difference in how you feel. So glad the Café is doing well.

    Thanks for TDK land-
Kittenmaster does a great work keeping us together
I love read and share adventures and advice with all TDKers

    Wow, it’s already been 8 years – I think!
Crockey moved indoors on Thanksgiving Eve Day!
Yup, he was beat up & full of fleas! Diva Dot immediately called him “Meat Head”/LOL.
Luck was still an outdoor feral at the time…
(Looked greyish vs cream from all flea dust.)
Hid under the couch thru Thanksgiving…ventured out day after – just in time to head to vets!
Vet said he had 50/50 chance to make it…
    Flamer Crockey
That was then…this is Now! 🙂
Crock sends purrs to all as Happy Thanksgiving! xo

    Happy Anniversary to Mac 🙂

OK, it’s time to finish up – wishing all enjoyable next several days.
Thank you for your friendship in fur.
Thanks to KM2 for carrying the purry load so we can continue to share this pawsome site.

Back on Monday, now a smooch for Tux…later!

    A year already JJ? Wow!
Mac has certainly adapted well to a life of luxury. I’m assuming that Comet and Miss Leela are cool with him? 🙂
I have an interesting furry tiny kitty shelf object that meows 3 times and then says “I love you!” Hokey beyond telling, I know, but when I play it for Dorry he has cat equivalent of puzzled expression on his face as in “WTF is that?” No purry companions for him anytime soon LOL.
PG wish that I could watch that High Castle series I would probably enjoy it. Have seen adverts but don’t have whatever channel it’s on. Guess I could actually read the book. 🙄 I saw film “Metropolis,” original version, but IMHO enhanced by score featuring 80s groups/singers ie Bonnie Tyler, Jon Anderson, Queen.
KZ, as I mentioned earlier I wouldn’t take a single step in those boots. I like style and I can wear certain heel heights, but nothing is worth sacrificing safety for IMHO. Plus, without listing brands, lots of shoemakers have neat styles that are kind to one’s pawsies. Just sayin’ as back in the day I did wear awesomely uncomfortable shoes and am probably still feeling some effects today. Thanks goodness for my awesome hot/cold shiatzu foot massager, one of the best gifts to self ever.

Gah ! It is hot today, 27C outside, that’s a middle of Summer temperature. Humidity is also high which makes it even worse.
HRH Shadz has slunk off to find a ‘nest’ somewhere in the shade and long grass.

Happy flight AV and family and kits. Have a fantastic Thanksgiving.
KJ, the shoes look fantastic BUT definitely not for wearing in ice unless you want bruising. They would certainly keep your feet nice and dry. I can admire them from the safety of knowing I would never be able to stand up in them of course.
JJ, love the names, I hope Munchkin is snuggled up safe at home.
JK, LOL. Coffee parfaits – what else should I have expected from you. They look good. I hope the boss didn’t pass on his nasty germs.
Hi KZ, that’s a nice easy Thanksgiving for you. Yay.
PG, I will turn my fan in your direction and send some off our hot muggy air over to you shall I?
Wow JK, 8 years has flown by. ‘Crockey’ certainly knows the best place to be, inside with you. Bless his little furry socks.
Happy Anniversary to Crockey and Mac.

Three cheers for KM2 for providing the fluffiest place on the net.

I’m thinking a foot massager would be an awesome gift to oneself KJ….may just have to do some black friday gifting to ME!!
PG, sounds like fun helping to organize seating for the dinner, not so fun with all the snow expected. Hopefully you don’t have to drive far to be with family tomorrow. The pedicures sound like HEAVEN!!
JK and JJ,thanks for the updates on your purries! It’s hard to believe that Mac has been inside for a year! Lucky little guy! And Crock looks like an all white cat–and don’t vets realize how TOUGH cats are!?
Just put my jammies on and I’m ready to kick back for a couple of days….I’m snuggling in with my cats in the morning!

Happy homecoming for Crock and Mac. Crock is a handsome guy and it’s seems like last week when Mac moved indoors. Hot muggy air is much appreciated, MS.

I used to have a cheesy clock like that but the tail moved back and forth. I had to hang it high or the kits would “catch” the tail.

Looking at those boots again, I realize my niece would wear them. She has a couple of pairs similar to them. They wouldn’t make them if someone didn’t buy them, eh?

I hope you got your desserts finished, JJ. My niece is making pumpkin pie and gluten free chocolate cake. I’m bringing a pecan pie and I found a berry chiffon cake at Whole Foods. I was there to get other stuff but the guy was hawking samples and, well, I’m weak. The sample was melt in my month yummy.

KZ, I say go for it as regards shopping. My foot massager is HoMedics Shiatsu Elite Foot Massager. Under $100 CAD. Prob can get it for less in US. Had a Dr. Scholls model before, this one’s way better IMO. Speaking of shopping, I seem to be on exchanged lists so I receive all sorts of fun catalogues. Hammacher-Schlemmer has what looks like neat foot massager but way expensive. But topping it all, one free luxury mag left on counter in my bldg entryway features a “bespoke” piano-shaped sculpture that could be mine for a mere $700,000! I kid you not. Now just where did I put my chequebook?
