Are you a punk? Would you like to be one? Me neither. Purrhaps a Punk Rocker, but not literally a punk. And how auspicious that this day always falls on this date! 😉

Joey Ramone (Jeffrey Ross Hyman) – “godfather of punk” and one of my fave artists of all time – with purry friend who so resembles baby Dorry!

Spent the afternoon slowing clean the yard and now I’m tired. It feels good doing ordinary stuff.

This image has nothing to do with punk or punking – just loving!!

Good Night and Have a happy!

The Punk life doesn’t interest me one bit.
PG, it is great that you feel able to get out into the yard and doing ordinary stuff again.

Wonderful! I was never a punk, but my favourites were the Clash. More a hippie back then, but I don’t mean a druggie – rather into old-fashioned bicycles and Indian skirts and blouses…

Today is ALSO World Pasta Day, and I’ll celebrate with some Soba noodles – those are made from buckwheat, and relatively nutritious, with some homemade broth, and greens.

We remember Asian noodles as well as the hard wheat Italian type, and the egg pasta of Central and Eastern Europe.

The Canadian prairies are a leading grower of the hard wheat used in the Italian type.

Nowadays it is much easier for people with coeliac and other forms of gluten intolerance to find good-quality gluten-free pasta.

    Hmm, some punky pasta?

Hmm…Punk ~ only thing I remember from childhood is kid’s cartoon/puppet: Punky and his Pals! Harmless afternoon kiddie show to distract kids from interrupting mom while she was making Supper 😉

    But found this on-line:

Haha JK, those 60’s punkers and greasers look pretty tame by today’s standards! I was a flower child/hippy too more into peace and love but was on the young side of being able to do anything about it… 😆

    Love the pics today everyone…

Well MS, as the saying goes: chacun son goût (“to each his own taste”). I know the if I hear country music I get the heaves. Or anything slow, that is not dark. Or most women singers unless they happen to be Chrissie Hynde, Patti Smith or Joan Jett.

Now if I ever find myself in NYC I must visit this spot.

PG, so you were able to do some srs gardening? And it’s just one month to the day post-surgery. Well this is special. Awesome!

Special Day for me too (I’ll say no more). And I get to be a punk for a day. Yes!

Afternoon all! …. the pics are hilarious today! …. I was a hippy as a young teen, then a punker in college …. thank goodness I don’t wear that heavy black eyeliner anymore, I’m not sure I could put it on straight these days! LOL

Today is the first ‘feels cool’ day down here …. a nice 74 for a high! …. I pulled Miss Caddy’s fluffy fleecy bed out, so she will have it on the porch chair. She loves it when it gets chilly

Well I still rock black eyeliner/cat eye and it looks d**n good!

Settled my issues with Panasonic and after quite a bit of back and forth I will be getting a free brand-new back-up micro sent by my preferred shipping mode. Ya gotta ask!

Chilly here too – but works for me as sweater weather has arrived – finally!

Hi all – ahh, the punk rock age. Hubby’s brother had the look for years! I don’t do the black liner anymore – remember heating up the pencil with a lighter? I do like the wing/cat eye look that’s trending these days.

Mmm, pasta day! Maybe we’ll have that for dinner.

That mean cat Rorschach has been around lately, presumably trying to expand his territory. I have been making sure not to leave food out. He was yelling at Dewey the other day so I brought Dewey inside. Couldn’t do the same for Huey yesterday, so I just kept him distracted till Rorschach moved through.

It’s cloudy and cooler here today. I needed a light jacket when I went out walking this morning! Oh and I had to double back to my house twice because Berta followed me!

Have a super busy next couple of days so if I don’t get here to post, I’m here in spirit.

Heating up the pencil with a lighter, JJ??? Never tried that one! 😯 Would this not be dangerous? Guess it depends on how close lighter is to one’s eye! Did take some trials before I worked out how to get the look that I like. Liquid liner does not work, smudges srsly.

So I do a line, and the “wings/cat eye” with relatively soft pencil then go over line with a thicker crayon. And the rest of the look is a smokey eye. In shades to go with what I’m wearing, i.e. black, brown, navy or grey. At times burgundy shadow. It might sound like a lot, but actually it’s quite subtle.

No face makeup ‘dept for slightly tinted sunscreen. And (sometimes dark) lips. Whole deal takes like 5 mins. And I never wear makeup to workout. Some peeps do, and when liner drips down a girl’s face, it’s not a good look!

Hope that your upcoming super-busy days are profitable in efurry sense of the word! You will be missed and thought of.

Yep, we would wave a lighter under the pencil just long enough for it to soften, thus making its application to one’s eye easier.

Nowadays I only wear mascara, but I usually use different colors, i.e., one eye purple, the other blue. No particular reason. Just because.
