Tea for two? A few? Or just you? The bevvie now comes in so many flavours it’s almost impossible to choose. A hot tea can be very warming for those of us in the Northern Hem. Purrhaps those in the Southern Hem would prefur it iced, although in tropical heat (ie India) peeps generally opt for the hot variety.

“The hot drink somehow has an effect on your systemic cooling mechanisms, which exceeds its actual effect in terms of heating your body.” These receptors act the same way towards hot chilli too, so it’s famous in hot countries.” (Source: https://www.quora.com/How-and-why-do-Indians-drink-hot-tea-coffee-on-a-hot-summer-day)

Hey all peeps to furry ones,

I’m not much of a tea drinker. Chamomile is the one tea I enjoy in the evening, however, I would have an Earl Gray please.

IM NOT KITTEH IM TEA POT

I’m going to see my Primary Care Doctor. My shrink didn’t commit me this morning so my other appointment should be a breeze. ๐Ÿ˜†

    L8r bye and have a happy~

From time to time I like tea – esp when I found out that the non-herbal variety has caffeine in it. There is a tea that I esp like Lipton Green Tea w/Honey. Not on market anymore, but someone gave me the last stash that she found. English Breakfast tea is nice to for change-up from coffee – even if it’s not brekkie-time.

Does tea made with the “herb” exist? Hmmm … not going to find out in my n’hood anytime soon as Justin still hasn’t come through with his campaign promise – surprise, surprise!

Though the earl grey kit is more soothing! And I like “evil kitty” – but that’s me! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tks for COA alert PG! ‘Cause wee grey kit would have done me in for sure.

So glad that you were not committed – you’d be sorely missed in the Cafรฉ. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Looks to have morphed into mid-to-srs snow outdoors, but I will not know what it’s like until I venture forth. I think that the streets were cleared and in purrfect world, salted. Going to course, then home for a few, then gym.

    So l8r for me too!

Morning all! I’m not much of a tea drinker either, but I do like an iced raspberry tea on a hot summer day ๐Ÿ™‚

Didn’t make it in the Cafรฉ yesterday (super busy), will have to read back posts to catch up!
Great pics today, it’s foggy here this morning, and a slight chill is in the air. Seems Caturday (pirate invasion day) is going to be nice and cool (59 high), which is purrfect …. which in turn results in a big turn out …. which in turn means upwards of 500,000 peeps will be tromping bye my home …. ’til the wee hours of the morning ….
Poor Miss Caddy will be contained in the golf studio (she won’t be happy), but I know she’ll be safe …. I’ll spend the day roping off my yard and sitting on the porch with my hose handy to squirt away any obnoxious attempts at desecration …. *sighs* …..

Hi all – kittens and teapots sure are cute! I don’t drink much tea, but once in a while I enjoy a herbal one. Purrhaps a brownie though! Alas, neither will contain that other herb anytime soon here either.
Not committed yet, eh PG? Too bad, I hear you get 3 square meals a day and you don’t have to do housework or shovel snow.
Careful out there, KJ. You know as well as anyone that evil ice likes to hide under a fresh blanket of snow. It snowed well into the night last night, but temps are on the rise so I expect much of it will melt today and tomorrow.
I’m so happy to hear Caddy is safe with you, AV, and won’t be encountering any drunken pirates on Saturday.
Mac has really been testing his limits. He pesters Comet and Dewey, but he’s learned that the dainty and pretty Miss Leela doesn’t stand for it. She is certainly the alpha kitty in the house. Between short visits from Mama Cat and Berta, Mac is (hopefully) learning that girls are tough, and not to be messed with!

Yep, I’m a hot choc girl! However, a few months back, JJ was spotted sipping coffee from Jroc’s mug! Seems she likes a flavor/creamer that appeals to me too, go figure!
Took Comet out on the harness for a few minutes, didn’t stick his feet in the snow this time though. He checked out the back steps and said (a friendly) hello to Louie. Berta and Star skeptically looked on from a safe distance!

Oh no! I loved Mary Tyler Moore, so sorry she’s gone!

Mac, you must learn about those girl kitties …. they are definitely Divas! …. and to think I’m juggling four Divas right now! …. definitely a sticky wicket at times!

Mr. AV drove over to Orlando for the day to a golf convention, and will be home later, but not for dinner ….. so you know what that means – CREAMED SPINACH!!! yummmmmmmmmmmmmm I can’t wait! (he hates it) LOL

Sad news about Mary Tyler Moore’s passing. ๐Ÿ™

That iconic moment on the show when she’d toss her beret into the air.

And her kit-themed logo for MTM Enterprises productions:

“MTM produced a number of successful television programs during the 1970s and 1980s. Its famous logo featured Moore’s cat named Mimsie inside a circle surrounded by gold ribbons, parodying how Leo the Lion features in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer logo.” (Source: Wikipedia)

Haha, maybe we’ve had this conversation before AV, but I have creamed spinach for dinner when hubby is away too! Mine is very simple, a pack of frozen chopped spinach and a can of mushroom soup. Combine, heat and eat! Sometimes I treat it as a dip and have it with tortilla chips.
Oh and I often add cheese, because I’m a cheesehead.

Mary Tyler Moore opening and closing theme, with MTM kitten, of course.

    And the Bob Newhart variant:

JJ great minds think alike ๐Ÿ˜‰

I make a white sauce – basically melt butter, sprinkle with flour, cook 2 or 3 min, then add minced onion and garlic, wisk in some milk, add salt, pepper, fresh nutmeg and turn down to very lowest setting, stir every now and then, and add some grated parm cheese; wilt freeh spinach, which only takes a couple of min. Mix sauce in and HEAVEN! All said and done, not 10 min.
One of my all time favs! I grilled a steak to go with and ate on the porch with Caddy …. a nice evening!

Hope ya’ll s was just as nice! Glad to see KZ is doing better!
