Due to our fast moving lifestyle, many peeps feel the need to eat quickly, and often don’t want to wait for food to be prepared. Fast food restaurants have been part of the scene since the early 1950’s.

    Hi Efurryone,

I love the crossover pic. In August, Italian families went on vacation. The car was overloaded with people and yes, the fridge was often tied to the roof.

Fast Food Day, huh? I try not to go to fast food places and use the micro or toaster oven for my fast food.

The weather dude is showing us a map of snow/rain/wind starting this evening. Today’s temp. is 77f/25c and tomorrow’s is 40f/4c.

It’s time to start baking so I’m going to Sam’s to get stuff.

    Cya and have a happy~

Morning all! We don’t eat a lot of fast food either, but sometimes you just gotta have some fries from Mickey D’s!! 😆

And those are the cutest pics and captions ever!

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Amazing how times flies! I will be looking for a fresh turkey and some fixings to go with and will have dinner here on Saturday. What is everyone else doing?

Good morning – I can attest to cats running really fast over a short distance. Just this morning I tripped over a cat and six cats went speeding in six directions! No tails/feet were stepped on, just me trying to find my footing. It was kind of funny…
I like fast food once in a while. Fast food places have come a long way in offering healthy selections.
A bunch of us are going to mom’s for Thanksgiving. Brother is making the turkey, sister will do the veggie stuff, and I’ll make mashed potatoes, stuffing and dessert. I’ll have to get to the store in the next few days!

Good morning! Such funny pics. I love the kitty wanting his shake in a bowl. Straws would be difficult for cats, I guess. But I bet they’d find a way! And the crossover pic is perfect….lol.

Younger son did great st his violin group performance. It ended up being just three students with their parents…nice small gathering for his first time.

We have our pet sitter reserved for Thanksgiving. We’ll go visit hubby’s folks in central FL.

I cannot remember the last time I had fast food. We have never eaten it, not even my children liked it as kids …. probably Son eats it more than the rest of us …. he’s always so busy, he grabs a burger here and there.

Looking forward to flying to Las Vegas to spend Tday with Son, we did it last year, and it was a blast! ….. Although I miss cooking the big meal, but I will do that for Christmas …..

Hard to believe the year is almost over, time has certainly flown! …. Have a great hump day everyone!

    Hi Dell! *waves*

I don’t do fast food either. Although I do remember the A&W family of burgers from back in the day. And the root beer. And the “excitement” of car service, with tray on rolled-down window. 😉

Busy, busy day. But happened to be close by to by “secret” discount shoe store where I scored way neat loafers with neat but decent heel in a shade sorta like 2 tones of café au lait. Plus what I’ve long been yearning for – dark burgundy boots. Prices unbelievable!

And life laughed at KJ. As in the crown mouldings that N. and I had all sorts of DIY plans for, well got e-mail from bldg admin saying they had “gone missing” and were very much needed for an in-process reno in one of the units. I called and did say that they should not have been placed where peeps place no longer wanted items. Of course I returned them and admin was extremely grateful.

Good to be inside. Not purrticularly cold, but rainy and ideal for well, being inside.

    Hi all.
Finally made it into the Cafe.
Busy day, I was in the pool by 7.30am and out 75 mins later then race home for shower/hair wash and breakfast then off to physio. Apparently my kneecap was being pulled off line by a taut muscle so after a session of elbow to the side of my butt cheek(quite ouchy) things were feeling better.
Race home and take Mum grocery shopping and finally back home in time to prepare dinner and think about sleep.
PG, I love the KFC witness protection pic, hilarious.
We don’t go to the usual fast food places other than the fish and chips shop occasionally for some crumbed fish(yes Shadz gets a fillet too). No KFC,Burger King, Pizza Hutt etc for us.
OMG KJ, you purloined the crown mouldings that were still needed.

😀 😆 😆 How funny is that. I hope you and N had a good laugh at what could have happened if you had your plans more firmly sorted. Brilliant. Good on you for telling them where they shouldn’t put stuff they still need.
Earthquake news : In Wellington city more and more buildings have been evacuated and streets cordoned off as cracks appear and engineers inspections find problems. This evening another building has been found to be in imminent danger of collapse. More evacuations including a cinema complex, food court, shops and apartments and the car park building that is the problem. I feel sorry for anyone who may have their car parked in the building.

It is really upsetting about Wellington, after Christchurch. 😥 Moonshadow, did you take that photo? I know that Southeast Asia is REALLY not next door for you in NZ, but a lot of people from there (and obviously, even more from Oz, do travel to those countries. It is nice to see a small fridge with a separate freezer compartment, which makes it much more efficient.

I almost never eat fast food, certainly not the chain varieties, and don’t get the appeal of McDo fries; I suppose because we can find much nicer ones in Montréal. KZ, not even falafel?

Making a variation on this, but not all those ingredients, and substituting ground turkey for beef, as I try to avoid red meat:
http://montrealgazette.com/life/food/six-oclock-solution-spicy-mix-offers-cuban-heat-for-a-cold-day I may not make it spicy at all; Cuban food is usually NOT spicy-hot. I bought some of the last local peppers at Jean-Talon Market, including red Cubanelles.

I laughed at the obese pigeon outside the McDo, but it isn’t so funny when the birds can’t even fly anymore…

I did go out, to get the flu jab, and to discuss a project with a client. The rain was just like being in a cloud, not a hard rain. It is sunnier today, and still very mild. We may get some snowflakes next week though. I hate snow.
