Effuryone needs a day (purrhaps more than one) to just monkey around, doing anything that comes to mind. It can be silly. It can be inane. So on this Special Day go out and have some untamed fun!

The pics today are funny KJ! I am not crazy about monkeys…one of those unexplained dislikes I guess, but the one of the monkey looking for fleas on the cat made me LOL!

It’s hump day and I agree that it is a day for monkeyin’ around..it’s also raining here and I don’t feel like doing anything!

KZ, I share your views on monkeys, but with the kits, it is kinda cute. Plus who am I to argue with the Special Days calendar!

We’re going to eventually get rain, but today it looks to be pleasant out, not too hot as in days previous.

Managed to get to bed earlier, as in 1 am as opposed to 6:16 am! Friend/Hazel as N, had to postpone Mon and today so we’ll leave it to next Mon, no biggie, plus next week’s stressful as in Tues, so it will be nice to chill with her on Mon. So I did some hazeling myself, then installed my new bdrm shelf, I seem to have developed an “affection” of sorts for my B&D power drill set. Still can’t quite believe the deal I got as in rechargeable drill with all nec’y bits and pieces, some that I still have no notion how to use! For like $70, if I correctly recall.

Still somewhat out of it/out of sorts today, but working on quick editing job and superb spin class at 6 pm, so there’s my day more or less taken care of. Catnap might also be a plan.

    L8R, all!

    Took li’l walk…spotted today:
    bell flowers
Does anyone know this plant’s name…shad flowers…would like to plant these in my shaded yard!
    Oops…just googled it: Foxglove!
    tuxie in flowers
OK, back to part 2 day 3’s fun…mwah, smooch for Tux – missed ya kit!

Hi all – I really like the kitten with her stuffed monkey!
KZ, your rain is slowly headed this way, as in Friday. Much cooler temps expected too.
Sorry you’re out of sorts, KJ, but good timing for N to come and hang out before big stress day. Yes, it sounds like a great deal on the drill set!
Hi JK – those Foxglove flowers are beautiful! You are indeed a cool cat, but it will be nice to get real a/c in the office.
Walked/hiked 5 miles today then went shopping for a few things. Won’t be around tomorrow because…wait for it…I’m starting a new job! 2 days a week working for a podiatrist up in town. It will be nice to have a few bucks in my pocket! Of course, my biggest stressor is the outside cats, as they are used to seeing me around a few times each day. I guess we will all have to adjust!

Yay, Concats >^.^< to you Joan on your employment!
Yup, Kittehs will adjust…Timez for Nomz as different Schedule…Snuggle Time twice the fun on your day/s off!

Thanks, A/C still in the works…probably officially Cooler on Thursday around here!

    OK, finishing up…later!

New job sounds ideal JJ! Did you not mention that you worked in podiatrist’s office some years back? And 2 days a week, segueing into weekend off – purrfect! I would think that the kits will adjust.

Thanks guys, yes indeed I did work for a podiatrist, and will be working for the same one! He called several weeks ago to catch up and later contacted me again asking if I would like to come back. Will work a few days as opposed to nights on top of a full time job. I think the speed will be just about right for me.
Haven’t seen Huey today but am thinking that with the nice weather they may be wandering and/or someone is feeding them. At least one less thing to worry about is extreme cold. Cats are pretty sensible and will find cool napping spots.

Concats JJ, a 2 day a week job is ideal, IMHO!! Yes, the cats will adjust, after all don’t they make you worry when they don’t appear when they should? 😉

JK, if I missed you I posted a link for you on the foxgloves. I have them in my gardens but beware they can be toxic to pets if you have any outside if they should eat any part of the plant or the seed. It is the medicinal plant called digitalis (a heart medication).

I like monkeys ….. years ago when we were in Spain, we went to Gibralter, where the monkeys jump on your car and beg for food …. no fear in them! LOL
Another thundering afternoon here …. hopefully with all this rain, our watering restrictions will be lifted …. the first part of this year was really dry for us!
Made it through hump day, don’t really have anything planned for Father’s day since all kids are out of town, so it may be a furry father’s day celebration 😉

Hope everyone has a great evening!

Good afternoon all. We had a good frost this morning which of course is followed by a beautiful sunny day but with a chilly wind. Great for drying washing.
The only monkeys I have seen are in the zoo but a golden lion tamarin did steal my heart some years back. It fixed it’s eyes on me and then we played peek-a-boo around a branch for ages. I suspect the fact I had a good head of bright red hair(faded somewhat now)then had something to do with it. 😆 😆
Wow KJ, you call that early for getting to bed. Oops I have been known to sit up that late quite often but not now that I get up early to get Mr MS’s lunch and thermos ready and have breakfast with him.
JK, that a foxglove and a beauty too. I have been growing them for a few years now.
JJ, congrats on your job. Excellent news. The outside crew will get used to the new hours quickly.
AV, it’s good to get rain when you have water restrictions. I love thunder.

    hi efurryone,

stopping by to say howdy! That’s a bummer you’re out of sorts KJ.
Concats on the new job JJ. That schedule is purrfect.

I agree with the monkey thang. They’ve never been my fave animal.

It’s hot and dry today, tomorrow and Friday. We may see a few drops this weekend. *sigh*

I hope its not as hot this weekend because my mission is to put down sod.
