Wednesday 07-06-2017 – Mmmm … it's National Chocolate Ice Cream Day

All of our cats have enjoyed a wee tasting of ice cream although we haven’t had any in the house for quite a few years.
Didn’t make it to Tuesdays Cafe even though I didn’t help feed out to the stock today. Had one of those days where I was hoping to get lots done but ended up doing heaps for others and having a multitude of interruptions. Sigh
Great news, I am a Great Aunty again, my little Great Nephew arrived 3 weeks early at a healthy 7lb 2oz. He is certainly a stocky wee chap(his Mother’s words).

Cute little ice cream loving kits. We have a countertop ice cream maker that is pretty compact and convenient. It’s in the shape of an old fashioned ice cream bucket, which is cute. We had it in storage for three years and only just used it again now that we have room for it. Only took four ingredients and 20 minutes to have delicious homemade ice cream. The kids do get the experience of old fashioned hand churning once a year. My brother brings his old fashioned bucket to the mountains every summer.

We’ve had a lot of rain here too, AV. Cute to hear about Caddy’s set up. I think we need a pic of her on her cat tree. (Maybe you shared one on a day I didn’t make it here?).

Chocolate is my favorite ice cream, and there’s some in my freezer now! Just last night I had a scoop with orange soda.
ConCATS on being a great auntie again, MS! My 12 day old great nephew is all the way over on the west coast, but I get lots of pics.

Today feels like fall here today, would you believe a high of only 64*?! And Sunday is supposed to be 90*!! I’ll take the cooler….thanks!

Good afternoon all, we had a slight frost this morning followed by a glorious sunny day so far. Is it really Winter? Guess global warming is doing this. 🙁
I am a great Aunt 9 times over and to only one girl. This wee chap is only the second one on my side of the family and I sadly won’t get to see much of him as he lives overseas. 🙁 along with his older brother. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he is another red head like his brother. 🙂 🙂
Homemade ice cream, I remember that from when I was a child. Mum made ice cream with evaporated milk and it had the most awesome flavour. I wonder if she can remember how she made it. Maybe not. 🙁
We have a flavour here that is all Kiwi, it is called Hokey Pokey and is small chunks of hokey pokey or honeycombe stirred into the ice cream. Mmmm
Lagatta, we avoid white sugar as much as possible and use skim milk.
Shadz is a terror and loves a nibble of our foods but only if it’s not processed food.
JJ, I think we are about the same distance away from our respective great nephews. We get lots of pics via my brother who lives here too, lots of pictures. Bubs caught everyone on the hop as his grandparents were in the UK instead of home.
