On this day in 1959 Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper died in an airplane crash, at the height of their popularity. Every generation has their music idols. Even the kits get into the picture(s)!

When I was visiting a friend in Jax, we saw The Buddy Holly Story at the Alhambra dinner theatre. It was a great show.

Good morning! I haven’t had a chance to look over the last couple of cafe days…hope everyone here is well! Chopsticks cat goes so well with the caption…always makes me smile.

After we get home from our Wednesday house today I should have some new dishes on my doorstep. My clearing out of the unused fancy dishes in my life had me thinking, “why not have a a second set of everyday dishes?” Lol…I do love dishes…just never pulled out the fancy ones. I think food/dishes is where I express most of my artistic flair, of which there isn’t too much. :). I’ll share some photos and my vision for my future kitchen later. Off to make brekkie for my boys (human, the cats have eaten of course!)

Love, love, love the “halpful” kitty helping his grrl get her groove on! I have fishnets and stockings with seams at the back. Have not considered ripping them as yet, but hmmm … to get more of a gangsta vibe. Not sure that I’d like Dorry’s help, although I’m sure he’d be glad to rip the tights (and my legs.) Ahhhh!!! BTW the sneaks are way kewel! 🙂
And of course can relate to garage punk kitty hehehe.

Well the promised snow/rain did arrive, very slushy, but peeps seem to be walking without difficulty. Nonetheless the treated boots that I supposedly waterproofed last night are at the ready.

Good morning from rainy New Jersey, glad it’s not snow! It’s a challenge to feed the cafe kits on rainy days, but the job gets done.

Love all the pics and songs today! It was indeed a sad day when ‘the music’ died!
I had lunch yesterday with my 3 best girlfriends – what an enjoyable time catching up on them and their families ( 2 are CCLs ) … reminds me how important and precious those friendships are, and how we need to get together more often!

Dau and Fiance both just found out they got the job offers they were hoping for in NYC, so it looks like they’ll be moving back up there sometime in March … while I wish they would be closer, I’m happy for them, and the exciting new life they’re starting together ….

We found Abby’s favorite ‘white kitty’ that has been missing for a while …. she came singing it downstairs a little while ago … no idea where it has been, but she’s apparently on top of things LOL …. time for me to wrap up work, have a great evening all!

AV, congrats on dau and future SIL getting their dream jobs in the Big Apple.
Weather was more slushy than slippery, thankfully. And my Timberland-style, srsly treaded boots held out in the murky puddles. I have 2 prs in diff shades, got them in kid’s section along with 2 other shades in another style. Clerk told me exactly same as adult version, only ridiculously way cheaper. Benefit of having tiny feet, which required no effort to obtain LOL.
So just got back from dentist. Srsly expensive but can’t go around with cracks in my fangs. And dental assistant has 2 furries, a Tonkinese boy and a Cornish Rex girl, oooh a kitty with wavy fur! So we had a purry conversation and checked out pics of kit rings in I’Net. Then dentist and I got into discussion where I proclaimed the merits of gangsta rap. This time he convinced me that he only needed to freeze one of the 3 teeth that he worked on so I went with this plan. The one aching a bit now is the one that he froze as now it’s thawing. Whatever.
Just got translation project, volunteering for big org that provides respite/palliative care at no-charge, sadly much needed and worthy. have to go set up a file for org and organize myself. L8R.

Glad you didn’t get a pile of snow, JK. Yep, coffee & tunes go well together. I don’t drink coffee, but know a good combo when I see one!
Oh how true, AV – friendships that last decades are so precious. How exciting that dau & fiancé got the jobs they wanted.
Oh white kitty, where have you been? No matter, Abby has her friend back.
Hey KJ, glad it’s not crazy slippery by you. Sister has itty bitty feet too, and buys kids shoes with the same $ saving benefits. Hope the tooth doesn’t ache too terribly when the stuff wears off.

The cafe cats know and appreciate that you take care of them, JJ.

Concats on Dau and SIL getting their dream jobs. You can visit the kids and see a Broadway show or the Rockettes and other cool stuff! That’s funny Miss Abby bringing her white kitty down. Sometimes, I search and search for their toys and nothing then 10 mins. later one is playing with the best toy.

Glad your fangs are repaired KJ.
