    Morning KJ, love the pics!

I turned my car in for the repair work yesterday morning and it will be done this afternoon, yay….no damage to the frame!

Friend of mine who has a first grader who came home asking about Mesopotamia, he was shocked that his son could even say the name ๐Ÿ™‚

Sadly the world is now seeing the issues with illegal migrants like the US has been dealing with for years and being told how cruel we are, it is a sad situation everywhere ๐Ÿ™

Morning KJ and Deb! Love the pics especially the sunbeam kitty!
Deb, good news the frame is ok and you’ll get the car back soon!
Abby is heart broken, Sal hasn’t come bye in two days now …. I’m afraid his owner might have moved …. The summer semester is over, and she may have graduated ….. Poor Abby has been keeping vigil by the door, it’s sad to see ….

Busy day today, have a happy all!

Aww, pianos and kitties, such a cute combo!
Deb, it sucks that your brand new car got hit, but very good that there’s no frame damage.
Oh no, poor Abby. She will be truly heartbroken if he moved away.

I have a piano, but never play it… ๐Ÿ˜ It needs tuned so badly that it sounds awful when I try…but the cats love to walk across the keyboard and of course granddaughters like to make noise on it too.
Oh no about Sal! I hope the owner didn’t move. I guess people do that, HAHA! Everyone except me of course and I don’t have plans for that ever. Poor Abby, what will she do with her time, pining for him?
Deb, so glad that your car will be back today but sucks it had to go in for repair in the first place. My sis and BIL have taken their car in for repairs twice in the last couple of months as twice someone has hit them in two separate parking lots!
LOVE the pics, especially the one that sounds better than Miley Cyrus–well YEAH….

Oh no, my heart is breaking for poor Abby. ***tears***. I know how much cats love their routines. Poor Sal too.

Great news on the car, Deb. I’m still mourning the Subaru that was declared “totaled” in our accident due to frame damage and it being a decade old. We had just put $1600 dollars into maintenance (it was a great car, just routine maintenance) so it would be in great shape for the move and we could drive it another decade….sigh.

Cute piano kits. I think “fur” Elise is my fave, but Billy Joel cat is cool too…love Billy Joel.

Eko’s mouth looked great at his recheck. And they took his pain patch off for me….ripping it off didn’t sound like fun. Emily’s came off easily but his wasn’t. Decided to let vets be the bad guys. :).

Oooh, Aunt and Uncle are coming over for breakfast on Saturday and I’m thinking of baking this…

    http://www.food.com/recipe/pumpkin-coffee-cake-43936?photo=10448

I’ve been really into breakfast cakes lately. The work can be done the day before which makes for a more relaxing breakfast for me. Pancakes and waffles leave my kitchen looking like a bomb went off. And I have to have protein with breakfast so getting eggs, sausage, coffee and pancakes all hot at the same time…I’ll go to Denny’s for that. :). Probably will do pumpkin pancakes some this fall though. They’re worth the hassle.

    Morning everyone!

Oh poor Abby, such sweet sorrow if Sal has indeed moved away.

Yes I am glad that my car was only damaged with minor body damage and not the frame. Would have been really upset if that happened, even with gap insurance the thought of a less than two month old car being damaged in the frame would not have made me feel like I could drive it safely.

Less than an hour left to work, yay! Going to see A Walk in the Woods with Robert Redford and Nick Nolte at noon today, plus its my break until Friday night midnight ๐Ÿ™‚ Going to see my Dad next Tuesday, his 80th Birthday is Wednesday so have to be there for a few days at least.

Poor Miss Abby – the purry love of her life, purrhaps moved, most unwillingly I’m sure!
KZ, I’ve been in my condo rental for quite some yrs and point in time have no plans to move. Kit has way more class than Miley Cyrus too – just sayin’.
I took piano lessons – briefly – didn’t quite take to the instrument and vice versa. At one exam invigilating teacher smacked my knuckles with ruler for each mistake! And no this wasn’t in Dicken’s time LOL!
ECB, glad that Eko’s recheck went well, blessings for same report for Miss Emily and Leo.
I’m clearly off my game as your post was the only way I noticed that Piano Cat was “playing” kitty retake on Billy Joel’s famous song! Which I now have as earworm! ๐Ÿ™„
I should see if I can find me some canned pumpkin for muffin addy, brekkie plans sound delish!
Morning Joan *waves*. Wondering if weather in your n’hood is similar to mine. Warm/humid but cloudy – sun is “promised” for noon. I will be able to better judge when I venture out to gym in about 30 min. Then will arrive way early for appt for Dorry bite f/u and ideally end of this adventure. I fantasize arriving early and being seen early, should someone not show. Will bring my knitting as de-stressor (I hate waiting at doc offices), and hopefully will not have time to finish sweater! At least I’ll potentially accomplish something more than fretting. Bite area seems much improved to me, then again didn’t think that it was srsly infected.
Have a good hump day all, L8R!

Wow, that’s a lot of information on the Mesopotamia, Deb. It is indeed sad to see such a problem with migrants worldwide.
ECB, that pumpkin coffeecake sounds and looks delish. And here comes the season for all things pumpkin! Glad to hear Eko’s mouth is looking good.
No plans to move anytime soon here either. I hope to be able to live in my home till the clock runs out. ๐Ÿ™‚
Early happy birthday wishes to your dad, Deb! Great that you are able to be there with him, even if for just a few days.
There was a bacon wrapper in the yard this morning and a BIG PILE of bear poop! Must have been a decent size bear. When I went out walking I looked for where it might have come from, as a bear won’t just take one thing out of a garbage can, so it’s weird that nothing else was found strewn around. Maybe someone found their garbage ransacked very early this morning and missed that piece – and the poop.

Wow, Joan. When you find a big pile of bear poop, do you scoop it?

    Happy Hump Day All!

Poor Abby-her one true love may be gone. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

It’ll be great to have your car back! Me and friend are thinking of see that movie, Deb. Give me your opinion. Happy 80th Birfday to your dad!

You can tuna piano but you can’t tuna fish.

    Are you being facetious, EC?

Thanks for the info. I got my vinegar out. I try to show up early in case the doctor can see me early, KJ. I hope you don’t knit a sweater. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Well, my neighbor got robbed last night. It’s the second time in 2 months. Two other neighbors were robbed as well. I’ve been here since 2008 and we haven’t these problems until this Spring. I’m going to talk to landlord about it.

    I gotta pay bills.

Received a present today – it’s been a long time since a present like this was left at the door. I’m sure the kitty meant well, and it’s pretty, but it’s a dead bird. Thinking it might be a female finch – white and black speckled breast and a yellowish head. I buried it among the forsythia.

Oh, Joan… How sweet of that bear to leave you such a BIG “gift”….. LOL Awww… poor little bird.
The 11 turkeys that make their rounds throughout the neighborhood here, were in the field next to my yard one evening, then again the next morning. The babies are getting so big. They aren’t really afraid when they see me either.
Deb, Happy Birthday to your dad and how special to be with him for his BD… Glad the frame is okay on your car.
I was SO excited to see a little grass frog (leopard?) in my yard this morning. It has been a really long time seeing any. I always worry when the grass is cut how many lives will be lost. ๐Ÿ™ Haven’t seen any toads in eons either…..
ECB that pumpkin coffee cake sounds delish! Can’t wait to try it. Thanks for sharing all the good recipes that you make. Your family is so fortunate to have such healthy, homemade goodies.
Yep!! APPLES and PUMPKINS and squash… oh my!!!!! I adore the different seasons and the new goodies for each one.
I also hope to live here until I die…. So purrfect for me… and the cats too of course. They are SO spoiled ya know!!!! When it gets colder I will spoil my woodpeckers with the peanut butter/bacon grease suet I will make for them. They will go nuts for it I’m sure. They always pick all the corn out of the store bought stuff and toss it. LOL.
KJ… I hate doctors as well and stay away from them as much as I can. Good idea to knit while waiting. Hope you get to try the pumpkin recipes. I’m proud of you for trying so many new things for baking/cooking!!
KZ… have you taken piano lessons? I did as a child for a few years. I just have a keyboard now that I play on occasion. Bought it years ago so daughter (age 5) could take piano lessons. I was SO tickled that she got to use my old books and play the same songs as I did as a young child. ๐Ÿ™‚ She had a lovely piano teacher that let her play whatever she wanted. Mine wasn’t like that at all, was strict, and I ended up quitting cause I couldn’t stand the songs in the last books. If I could have tried other songs, styles, I would have gone further… But, I learned all the basics and taught myself guitar, etc. Piano lessons are a good foundation for kids.

Two gifts in one day, Joan. That’s….something. ๐Ÿ™‚

BB, hi there! I agree about piano being a good foundation. Youngest son took for a couple of years and did great, but burned out. I think his teacher let him move too fast and he was tired of figuring out complicated songs during practice times. But, I think he’ll pick it back up, or maybe guitar at some point.

BB, yes I took piano lessons for several years. From a lady that lived a few blocks down the street. My next door neighbor and I used to walk down together as our lessons were for 1/2 hr. and we would wait and walk back together too. I hated recitals, and that’s what actually made me quit, but I took for maybe 6 or 7 years. I think every kid should be able to read music, and it’s important to get that foundation early. I can play just about anything, but am very rusty as I don’t practice. ๐Ÿ™ I don’t know when I’d find the time actually, but I really miss sitting down and playing sometimes.
The recipes sound great, I’m looking forward to pumpkin stuff again! Right now, it’s thundering and looking like it will storm. It’s so humid and hot and they are calling for 90* temps for at least the next 5 days. Figures, kids start to school and the pools close.. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
I’ll be back later, gotta check my chicken pot pie and am fixing asparagus for supper too! Yum!
