It’s quiet in here – too quiet. Where’s the staff and the Agency kits? Where is Tux? At that precise moment kits come tumbling out of everywhere, the drawers, the cupboards, even the basement! All of them meowing “April Fools!” Phew!

Yay it’s the 1st day of April!! Good morning MS, well I mean nighty night! It’s strange to think of April as fall, as you do, it means green, tiny flowers and the smell of *new* once again. The earth turns her face toward the sun for us on this side of the world, and all begins anew. /Gratitude and thankfulness for that!
Love April fool’s kitties…especially the little grey sad-eyed thing not getting a cheezburger!!

I knew something was amiss when I saw 2 different color slippers by my bed, 1 pink and 1 tan. Yep, you guessed it, both left feet! Can’t find the right ones anywhere! Now I don’t know for sure who was responsible for this little prank, but I did hear Comet and Mac snickering.

Off to spin class having making more inroads in reorganizing kitchen as countdown to Passover. Thanks goodness friend/Hasel coming this pm for heavy stuff. Quite a bit to prepare for the 8 days, but one gets there (talking to myself) with everyone listening. LOL.

Well – I gave up coffee for last week of Lent/April Fools!

Coffee – pass me the pot please!

Sunny & to be in 50’s today/Yay – rain will move in for a day as temps rise…ok, we need to wash away Winter’s gunk -green things up!
Waves/wishing all the best day yet this week…woot woot!

Here’s explanation of April Fool’s Day Origin:
On this day in History:

1582 France adopted the new Gregorian calendar. Prior to that, the new year was celebrated on April 1. (The new year actually started on March 25, which fell during Holy Week – so the celebrations were delayed until the first day of April). One explanation of the origin of ‘April Fools Day’ is that those who failed to accept the new start of the year on January 1 became the object of practical jokes. (Pope Gregory XIII introduced the new Gregorian Calendar in 1582).

JK, giving up coffee at all would make things very precarious not only for moi but for anyone that I encountered LOL. I love the instant coffee that comes around when groceries get in Passover stock. I keep it for use year round as it’s a huge tin. It’s complicated as provincial gov’t gives permission for groceries to be sold without requiring bilingual labeling for this holiday and after a couple of weeks it’s bye-bye. Also love a mocha cappuccino bevvie as holiday item. And chez KJ it’s veggie Passover as per rest o’ year.

Hmm, KJ – Instant coffee that’s good as in flavor…hey, please share name/brand etc. (Normally don’t do instant unless traveling/long drive & need a java fix before can make a pit stop…usually use as cold bevie.) Know our local stores have special Passover Section Up around this time of year!

JK, brand is Elite Instant 100% coffee. Big red can with coffee beans design (natch.) Wonderful. Of course during year I add it to homemade latte deal as protein-rich mocha cappuccino/milk/maple milk. But on Passover all by itself it does the trick!

Heads up TDKr’s. Check the spot in your house that you suspect is where the cats’ wormhole is. There may be a suspicious burlap bag there. Nothing explosive, so you don’t have to call the authorities, but it does have a mouse in it. A fake dead mouse.
*rolls eyes* Har-de-har-har.
So Leela thinks I need to pull a prank on the boys before the day is over. Suggestions include hiding the litterbox and putting dinner plates down with nothing on them, but I quickly vetoed both! Probably the best prank on a cat is that dang disappearing laser! Thing is, Comet cries and carries on to me about it.

She was so cute this AM with the “come hither” look as I was about to leave…had to give her an extra smooch…again her bros were fast asleep – didn’t notice a thing 🙂

Tks Joan and furry crew – for mousie – I think! Hmmm…
Well I’m about wiped. Friend/Hazel came a short while ago to help with Passover chores. She’s wearing comfy plush tiger print slippers with pom-poms and the boy as Dorry is going after them as if they are kitties! LOL. To distract him we played with laser red dot, hopefully he will wind down. My job is to take all my “found” storage drawers out from under bed for a proper vacuuming, while ensuring that Dorry does not make his new home there. It takes a purrson tiny enough to get under bed and that would be me. Friend/Hazel is better qualified to get my heavy boxes up. We all have our strengths LOL.

Just popping in and out to say Hi.
I’m buy today doing the Easter grocery shopping etc which has to be done today as all the shops are closed on Good Friday.
We had rain all night and most of this morning so HRH Shadz decided to stay in bed this morning. What a life.
Back when I can find some free time.

Hi MS – I did some shopping for the holiday too – needed potatoes.
Locked myself in the bedroom with Leela and put fresh sheets on, then gave her treats. NO BOYS!!! The April Fool’s were too busy chasing each other around downstairs to notice. Miss Leela is satisfied.

Hi Joan, I remembered my potatoes and had to go back to the other end of the supermarket to get the olives, can’t make a pizza without olives. If I’ve forgotten anything now well it’s just too bad and we will have to do without it.
Awwwwwwww Mama and me time for Leela while the boys are busy being boys playing chase.
