    WWM: You are too funny!

I s’pose the dust is stalking us. Yeah, that’s my theory. The second you put your hoover away it starts to arrange secret meetings and later – not-so-secret ones.

Gosh, 2p – is he okay?

I was working once in the ER and these two guys came in, one with a very bloody bandage on his hand and both totally drunk. They were supposed to trim a hedge and decided that the lawn mower would be much faster than a hedge trimmer. So they lift this running lawn mower up on the hedge and proceed to try and guide it. Guess who won? They would have qualified for the Darwin Awards had they had a different.. err… outcome.

*calling FBI to report being stalked by dust…..*

Where are Mulder and Scully when you really need them? This dust is obviously a case for the X-Files!

WWM – 1 internal, 3 external stitches. Manged to cut to the bone. Worst of it is he works with his hands all day…. and of course, got his dominant hand.

    Thanks Miu…

Ouch, 2p! I had hand surgery a couple of years back and it’s no fun having a bum hand. The hardest part is keeping it dry. Did get me out of doing dishes for a while, though.

oh is it Monday already…ugh! I am tired this morning and in no mood to be in at work. I should have taken the day off. Oh well I am here now, so may I have a ginormous cup of mocha with whip cream, french toast with canadian maple syrup, sausages, hash browns (crispy on the outside), and a large chilled glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, please? Thank you very much.

Sylvester woke me up at 1am this morning wanting to knead on my chest. OUCH! Then he proceeded to walk back and forth across me. Ouch again! He eventually settled down in the crook of my arm and I fell back asleep. Mia was down in between my legs leaning against one of my legs. She is such a warm kitty.

Talking about OUCH..oh my 2P. Your son was lucky he didn’t lose a finger. Sending healing thoughts to him and soothing ones to you.

CW..sending thoughts that your client will make an offer today and will close escrow in 30-60 days. Sell that house! Kitties need to eat and so does their mama.

    NEED COFFEE!

I came home from France last night. Having spent a long day at a village festival near Chartres I drove to Boulogne to catch the midnight ferry. It was delayed by an hour, so I didn’t get home until 3.00 am UK time – 4.00 am French time. I’m shattered. Where IS that coffee????

I’m just glad I was available – although I did walk out of a movie – and that I had the funds to pay for it. Poor kid.. no insurance. He’s going to call his dad and ask his dad to help me pay for it. I won’t go there… don’t care to hear all the “what I do for him” garbage. I don’t really care if he (the ex) helps or not. I am happy in knowing I was here and OK enough financially that this won’t be a major set-back for me.

Hmm…Miu, I think I will have a nip of bailey’s. PM-UK, wow! Must be nice to say, I am going to France for the weekend. I would love to be able to do that. I use to want to go live in the UK but need a job first and it is so hard to get a job in Europe as they have to prove that they couldn’t find someone local..or so I am told.

There are all sorts of regulations surrounding work permits for non-EU citizens, but if you are qualified in a “shortage skill” you can get a job anytime. Mainland Europe, of course, you also have to be fluent in the language of the country in which you are seeking the job.

Thanks, Miu. I needed that coffee. Daren’t risk alcohol at the moment, although normally I should have been delighted to join you in a cognac (my favourite spirit).

    2P, I’m so glad your son’s injury wasn’t worse!

In other news, GREAT progress today with Ellis; he finally came up to me, seeking to be petted! And yesterday he met other people, and decided the Cat Dancer was a good toy, no matter who was on the other end of it!

Hi, Pollys Mum! We’ve missed you! France, huh? Stinking French….. (no, I still am not over them not letting our ship into port)

Wow, London put on a great show at the close of the Olympics! Although your mayor looked a bit…. rumpled….. long flight, maybe?

I was actually in France for nearly a week visiting friends, although, of course, it is perfectly possible to go over for a weekend, or even just for the day.

I had a great time, visiting various farms (goat and cows – got to hand milk one of the cows. It was easier than I expected). The village festival was amazing. We had been invited by the local lord of the manor, and we had a fantastic time. I took 150 photos, some of which may even turn out to be useable!
