Her cat trees came in this week, along with the rest of her very first PetCo haul!

My Partner’s mother was kind enough to give us a giftcard on her last visit, since we “won’t be giving her grandchildren~ So she just has to spoil the cat instead!” Thankfully, the card coincided with their site-wide furniture sale, So we ended up getting two cat trees for the price of one, a new plush bed and blanket, a few toys, a bag of teeth and fur treats, and a few odds and ends.

The white tree is the Trixie Casta cat tree, 37.25″, and the taller one is the You & Me cat playground 48″. Eventually, the YNM will be going in the breakfast nook so she can stare at the wildlife, but for now, the Trixie is serving as a step stool for the larger one, which she seems to enjoy more.

    The Trixie is kind of wobbly, which I wish I’d known prior to ordering… but the height is right for us, so I guess my Love will just need to break out some L-brackets and screws to make it a bit sturdier. At only 30$ on sale, I’m not too peeved. The YNM came assembled, with no signs of damage, and is incredibly sturdy. Barring any kind of ‘accident’ or heavy scratching, it should see YEARS of use! {I’m not holding out hope for the Trixie to last past Lilith’s 8m mark~ but I don’t mind replacing it if necessary.}

She spent the day being played with and exercising by chasing her new feather flyer, and exploring her new digs. Her room is now officially cuter than ours!! Hoping to add bookshelves at some point, and an area rug, but the two-seater roadster we drive doesn’t allow for much extra baggage~

She’ll just have to make do with the cushions, pillows, and blankets on the floor until it comes. Until then, she’s a VERY happy camper~

OK, when I first read “bag of teeth” … well my mind did a flip-flop hehehe … but it’s getting late here! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Miss Lilith is for sure living a luxurious life – as by rights all kits should!

LOL~ Yeah, considering my Partner wears his wisdom teeth, I guess it wouldn’t be entirely inaccurate for us to possess such a thing… but nope~ Just a nice healthy treat for a cute kitty girl lol.

We’re really pleased by how it’s all coming together!

I am laughing so hard, Kincaid! Even my kits don’t have all that kinda of stuff…that’s a lie!

It’s good that her purr grandma is so taken with her.

Oh my gosh, this kitten is surely a DIVA–with a capital D!! I love this so much and yes, every cat should be this lucky!! She is so stinkin’ cute on that cat tree too btw!

I have a bunch of bird feeders out a window that has a cat tree and a table next to it. My cats spend hours watching birds and chattering at chipmunks–such easy and cheap entertainment!

She really is Zee, but as the only female in a house with two guys, we’re not begrudging her one bit ๐Ÿ˜‰

She DID manage to fall off the windowsill tonight, but as it was directly down onto a THICK cushion {the black one in-photo} she was just fine! I checked her for any signs of bruising or injury, but she wasn’t even limping. I’ll probably mention it at her vet appointment, but since it happened when the blinds were down; instead of at their usual 5/6″ open; I’m chalking it up to lack of space.

You probably already know this, but they make different sizes of window seats that can be put up and taken down fairly easily for cats to sit in and watch at the windows to what’s going on outside. I would be careful of the ones that just have the ‘sucker’ attachments for the windows though because I can’t think that they would hold a cat or kitten without eventually coming ‘unstuck’. ๐Ÿ™„

I’m sure she didn’t hurt herself if she fell on a soft cushy pillow. You should see some of the wild antics of Peso lately chasing the ‘big cats’ in the household who never had to worry about a young ‘upstart’ before. He can fly like the wind chasing up the cat tree and back again in seconds and not even break a sweat!

Vet appointment went well, other than the Leukemia vacc making poor Lilith scream :/ She was limping slightly after the visit, but it was most likely due to soreness after the second or third round of vaccines. She’s due back at the end of the month for another, and then I think she’s done for a short while.

IN BETTER NEWS: the bacterial infection in her rear end is all gone! A fecal examine confirms that the antibiotics worked, and she had her very last does this morning!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

This afternoon she’s back to her usual self, if annoyed at us for taking her front claws away. {Just trimmed, don’t freak out!} she can still climb her cat tree, and her slaps just tend to tickle now instead of leaving pink and sometimes bleeding scratches down our hands.

She’s REALLY thriving now, enjoying life and getting ready to join us in the rest of the house on her own terms. We just cleaned out one of the other bedrooms; been using it for storage space; and everything was out in the living room so she was placed in her own for her safety. {Lots of tools, leather crafting supplies and chemicals, and even some WWII-era knives that have seen better days. Now that the living room is cleared again, and most of our bug problem has been taken care of, Lilith is welcome to roam as much as she pleases. We’ll be waiting to move her big cat tree though, probably at least a week or two, until she’s better coordinated and used to having her claws trimmed.

That’s really good news about Lilith’s health! Peso did not like his leukemia vaccine either, he whined a bit but was okay after. He did not feel like himself for a good 24 hours, was very sleepy and irritable but then perked up and back to tormenting his brother and sisters the next afternoon.

She will love having the whole house to explore and to be with you in other areas of your living space!
