    Hey Susie: Oh sweetie, I am so sorry!!! The bad thing about only having a computer at work: you have to cry in front of your co-workers. OH well. My prayers and good wishes will be with you in the next couple of days, weeks, however long it may take you to deal with this. Time truly is the only way to deal with loss. I think you proved yourself quite the champ; your dedication to Cowboy and your single-minded devotion to him all the way through is beyond commendable.

    “Cat fur holds all tears.” Karin, that’s lovely. And, Kate, at least I have my own office where I can cry without anyone seeing me.

    CW, liver problems can be tricky. We all know that not eating will give cats fatty liver disease. If the liver isn’t functioning, though, nutrients can’t be processed and eating can, in fact, hasten death. The right course of action all depends on what’s gone wrong, and none of us knew the diagnosis until now. You shared what you knew because you cared about Cowboy, and that’s what’s important.

    Noooo! Susie I’m so sorry. I let out a shreek that sent 2 co-workers running into my office. Luckily we’re short staffed today and there’s no bosses here. I opted to pay the extra $ to get Jiggs’ ashes back, I hope you can too. PLEASE email me lv655b at yahoo dot com. RIP, sweet Cowboy. And yes, cat fur was made for tears; both my boys were soaked when my Dad died 3 years ago this past December 29.

    Oh Susie, I am very sorry. I was away from the computer for awhile so I just saw the update. You certainly went above and beyond for Cowboy, so please don’t feel any regrets. He knew that he was well loved. {{HUGS}}

    I’m so sorry Susie. Good thing I’m home, and I can just redo my mascara later. Amazing how the story of one little furry soul can create such a wonderful commradery of caring; I think in great part it’s because we could all feel how very much he was loved. We have all been there and the more it happens; no, I cannot say that it gets easier, but the more convinced I am that this love that we gave does not just evaporate into thin air/ into nothingness when we loose our babies, but rather lives on forever until we are reunited which I strongly believe. Not only that, but Susie, you so honor your beloved Cowboy by loving the rest of your furry family. So believe, you will one day be forever together and love the others in his honor. I also hope that knowing that it was cancer brings you peace, as you clearly did everything humanly possible for you baby.

    Susie, I am so sorry. Maybe the good to come out of this will be to open Chuck’s eyes to your needs in this relationship. I will continue to pray for you both. Tigerlilly, you put into words something that I have been feeling for a long time. This is such a supportive group, it feels like family.

    Susie, I am so Sorry you lost Cowboy. Rest assured he knew just exactly how much you loved him. Big {{{Hugs}}} to you. Remember you gave him a wonderful life that he may not have had without you. I know he loved you as you loved him; Unconditionally.

    Susie, {{HUGS}} and purrs. Cowboy is at peace now.

    We lost 2 cats Skooter and Bizkit, several years ago within 2 weeks of each other. My daughter had a dream that they were kicking back on a sunny beach in sombrero’s drinking kitty margaritas waiting for us to join them. As much as I still miss them that picture always brings a smile to my face. So now they have been joined by Cowboy and all the other kitties that have passed, and are waiting for us.

    I am SO sorry for all you have gone through, as well as Chuck and especially precious little Cowboy. My heart aches and is broken for all of you, so much. Many hugs to you.

    Susie, I am so very sorry for your loss of Cowboy and the pain you are enduring. Just picture Jerry’s (Chester) big smile and open arms of welcome as Cowboy reaches the Bridge. We all wrap you in our arms while you grieve and cry. I hope you can snuggle in bed and take a much needed nap as it takes lots of energy to grieve, and you have been sleep deprived of late.

    Susie, oh no! I’m so sorry about Cowboy, I don’t know what to say…….. Big hugs to you. Please take care of yourself. You did everything you could for Cowboy and you gave him a wonderful life. He’s with your Julie now at the Bridge waiting to one day be with you again. I’ll be thinking of you!

    Baby, the arms you feel around your shoulders are ours. We all love you, and we all prayed for Cowboy, but sometimes God answers our prayers by saying, “I have a better plan.”

    And Chester has another baby to cuddle in his chair by the Bridge. Daisy, Roo, Julie, Jiggs, Sebastian – they are all showing Cowboy the layout right now. And the big tuxie cat is leading the way to the freshest, sweetest catnip and softest green grass in all creation.

    You and Cowboy are in our hearts forever.

    Susie, words cannot express how sorry I am. Good thing my boss is out today as I am sitting here adding my tears to yours.
