I have a baby kitten, about 3 months old, and out Of no where he became very unbalanced & uncoordinated. He’s playing fine with the others kittens. When he walks or walks downward (like stairs or jumping down) he stumbles over head 1st, like if his head is to heavy for his body. Not exactly sure why. I was thinking vertigo & inner ear infection. Any ideas?

I would get him to the vet ASAP for a good look at him, check his ears for an infection. I was also wondering if he might be a CH cat or one with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I’ll post a link for you to give you info on this condition. He will still be a wonderful cat, just may take a little more thought on his care so that he doesn’t injure himself (like the stairs) until he learns how to maneuver himself around normal objects. Some cats have it severely, some not as much, and also with some training, can improve their coordination a bit.
