SMM I believe that may be a tuxxy thing – Sebastian did it and Huddy’s brother Cochise does it too. ((Sylvester))

SMM my Sugarfoot is a chirper too…none of the others do it! She’s my shy little tuxedo. My avatar is a close-up of Sugarfoot.

Sugarfoot is beautiful but then of course I am partial to tuxxies. Hi Hootie! {{{Mav and Huddy}}} Mia meows a little but both of my cats are very quiet. Mia of course is tabby and maybe a little bengal in her as she loves to explore the bathtub (when there is no water in it) or maybe that is just a unique thing she likes to do.

Question… can ‘tuxxies’ be gray? Or are they only considered tuxxies if they are black and white?

I may be wrong 2P, but I think so.

    Hey this is Chucky

I don’t think this story is true! I am the superior cat! My sister Tess is a tuxie, she sleeps all day on the back of a pedistal sink with her head on the faucet(She has a permenant “C” on her cheek!) All she want’s is for my humanoids to turn on the water so she can have fresh water to drink or water to play with(Stupid cat turn it on yourself)! You call that smart come on she can’t even open a door knob like I can! Or use the computer like me!! She thinks it’s fun to chase the arrow from the mouse Please Tuxies are not the superior cat

    I AM!!

    Meow

    Chucky!

2P, tuxies can be gray and white, but it’s much more common for them to be black and white (since dilution is recessive).

I can’t speak for any other tuxedo cats, but my tux/cowcat Booger was the smartest cat I’ve ever had. I swear, if I’d put the work in to get him used to traveling and large crowds of people applauding, we’d have done Stupid Pet Tricks on Late Night w/David Letterman…

Thanks ann… just trying to determine if I can actually call Chloe a tuxedo cat. No matter, she’s still my baby 😉

Chloe is certainly a tuxedo cat! However, now you have to remember that in cat genetics, her color gray is properly called “blue” (or dilute black, to be genetically correct). So now you have to visualize poor Chloe wearing one of those horrid late 1970’s baby blue tuxedo suit (minus the ruffly shirt and navy-blue pant stripe, thank goodness)!!

BTW, 2P, just to make sure there’s no misunderstanding… Chloe is a LOVELY cat, and I think she’s adorable! (Even though she probably hates me forever for bringing Melia into your life.) I was just trying to give you a funny mental picture of Chloe in a baby-blue tuxedo suit.
