It’s probably tea-time across the Atlantic but the café is done up to look like a Downton Abbey-era tea shoppe and a staff of British shorthairs, Cornish Rex’s, Scottish Folds, Devon Rex’s and those tailless Manx kitties are ready to take your orders 24/7. On the record player: Brit Pop … Beatles, Dave Clark Five, Herman’s Hermits, Lulu, The Clash (maybe?). On the menu: Cornish pasties, haggis, scones with clotted cream, plus a full English tea on offer later in the day. Those crumpets smell delish! Enjoy!

It’s 02:31 MST here in Tucson, joy joy…short of workers tonight so I only have 14 radio channels in my ear…yay!

Hi, KJ, Hi, Deb, well, I can truly say, I’ve never seen Devonshire cream teas and haggis on the same teashop menu before, those British kitties are real cards, lol, or hard cases, as we would say over here! Deb, 14 radio channels, eeek, you would need a BIG helping of haggis to cope with that. I am off to bed soon, gyppy tummy all today, got very little done, but Miss Millie and I have had a nice evening snuggling in front of the telly; Libs is taking every opportunity to stay outside in the warmer temps, she is loving spring.

Jane, I need a big case of whoop a&& today, just annoyed as heck with co-workers too tired to come into work so I end up covering their channels and mine too. Lol, good for Libs enjoying the spring weather…..figure that Mills can’t be far behind and trying to stay outside.

Morning friends! …. Deb, I didn’t realize until just now, that Luna was the KOD! Dau took that pic when we were visiting Son a couple of weeks ago – I liked it so much, she almost looks like a painting! ……. Miss Luna is a very regal lady!

….. LOl @ Jcat! a diverse menu, for a diverse group, eh?! Sweet Miss Millie giving her Mum some much needed snuggle/thearpy …… and GO Libs on ‘outdoor’ patrol!

…. the ‘weather’ people here are predicting a cool down, come this weekend, but I’m not sure I believe them…… the upper 80’s is beginning to wear on me 🙁

It’s supposed to cool down here too, although I would prefer a cool down to mean temps in the 60s-ish as opposed to 30s and below.

Another tough nights sleep. Comet knows when someone is awake; he sits in the doorway and sings.

Would love it to cool down here, it was 61 when I came in last night and 53 now @ 06:08 MST…didn’t sleep much myself yesterday 🙁

Katthays, lol its the truth, can’t go unless someone listens to the radio channels and no one is busting their butts to do that right now..

Paw up waving to all from sunny but only 32 in brew town. Early frost on pumpkin/s I guess. No sign of my ferals, must still be hunkering down/hopefully. I now have 2 kit kids as part of quartet. Otto is around on a regular basis. Haven’t seen Gabby for awhile. (Named 2 newbies as Pat/Patty & Pedro/Piaf depending upon sex.) Hopeful to catch them before it gets too cold. So now it’s time to start part 1 of day 2. Grabbing a cuppa joe & back I go. Oops, can’t forget a smooch for Tux, later kits.

Hi Jcat, The kits developed the menu with KJ’s help, so … but there’s fish and chips for lunch, wrapped in newspaper, which I did have when I visited England in my teens. Also tried a dessert that I’d read about in a book by Monica Dickens. Name of dessert is *wait for it* spotted dick *my mind took off in interesting directions when I read those words LOL*. Some sort of overly sweet pudding/cake thing chock full of raisins (ergo the spotted). Better when I read about it :-). If anyone is game to try it the kits will make up a batch. Now must find my Mary Quant makeup sticks and get down to accomplishing something. I’m up early and love opening café (that is until my creativity runs dry), hope I’m not usurping someone’s turf.

Deb, you should get hardship pay LOL! People “too tired” to come in? I once asked my boss what I get if I do “project X”. He replied “you get to stay” was joking, or maybe not! Too tired to work? Hmmm.
