JerseyJoanModeratorKJ is having tekkie problems, so let’s take a peek into the café. Leela, Comet and Mac bolted thru the wormhole to TDK land already. Apparently, the agency kitties have invited all of our kitties to an impromptu party. So if you’re wondering where your furry buddies are, now you know! There’s games, treats & noms and naps in the sun. And maybe the same for us, too!
Leela brought her bag of claw polish and her big floppy hat. Comet brought his joke book and I guess he’s going swimming because he brought his dorky swim shorts with sharks on them. Mac is still unsure and nervous, but with a little help from two cats who claim not to like him that much, he is all set up with a basket of toys (the fishie is his favorite), some nip punch and a bunch of colorful wildflowers for the hoomins to enjoy.Oh, and the special of the day for TDKr’s is blueberry pie! 🙂 Fresh from the oven along with lots of hot and cold noms and drinks.

ParticipantMorning Joan! ….. Abby and Sal are on their way …. Abby has on her poka-dot bikini, and Sal is swearing he’s going ‘commando’ …. hope he doesn’t make the girls blush too much! LOL ….. Abby is bringing her new sun claw polish to add to Leela’s claw polishing … its a polish that changes colors when the sun hits it! … really cool, Dau actually got some in Tarpon Springs when we were shopping at the sponge docks …..
GD has already FB’ed me this morning, accusing me of pulling out ‘the tutu’ cause the entire state is being drenched in rain right now! LOL …. well, ok, I ‘might’ have slipped it on, but only for a minute 😉
Mr. AV has another round in his match play tournament today, I hope the rain doesn’t deter them too much …. as long as it’s not lightening, they will play….. another good day for me to get rolling on my inputting! …. thanks for setting up the Café, the kitties always love an impromptu party! …. check you later!

Good morning to everyone, it’s a beautiful day here hopefully warmer than yesterday! I took Avery outside yesterday afternoon and almost froze to death–cloudy, windy and I was wimpy I guess..
Good morning AV and Deb, and all who come after. I don’t have much planned for today. Wish I had a pie in the freezer or some fruit that I could make one…blueberry pie day sounds wonderful or cobbler. My rhubarb is up but not big enough to make pie yet. I check my horseradish to see if it made it through the winter and it’s growing leaps and bounds. I know this is off the subject (horseradish wouldn’t make a good pie) but I ground some last fall and it was seriously the best I’ve ever had!

Think I’ll check into the massage oils for inflammation and pain as I could probably roll around in a tub of it at this point! Lifting a learning to crawl/walk baby has made me have aches and pains that aren’t going away as fast as they used too… 😯

Joan, Lil Girl will love getting her claws all spiffed up by the girls >^..^< She doesn’t get to hang out with ‘girlz’ much with the rough and tumble guys in the house. Love that Mac is coming out too. The Crew will enjoy being with other kits today, I am going with L to her Doc’s appt. they are going to knock her out and do an upper GI (yuck).

AV, awww Sal is coming along 🙂 now that you mentioned Sal going Commando ….the boys, Kitty and Red said they would too….oh what a trend!

I think it will be good for Mac to get out and meet TDK kitties. Although he is full of purrs and loves being petted, he still recoils in terror sometimes. I don’t know if his jaw and paw deformities are a result of abuse or if his deformities led him to be neglected and unwanted. The vet sees no scarring, and because of his love of being petted and talked to, I think it may be the latter.
Abby and Leela are doing Lil Girl’s claws up in that spiffy sun polish. As all the other claw polish sits untouched, they may be taking up a collection to get another bottle of it for you, AV – they all want to try it!
KZ, we’ve got your wind today. The sun is out, so it looks deceiving from inside. Watching the coverage of the wildfires in California, and the brave firefighters who are fighting parts of it manually with shovels and axes. Then the Santa Ana winds kick up and a whole new patch starts burning. Scary that just a spark can start a massive fire.
Deb, thanks from me too for the aromatherapy info. My favorites are lavender and ginger.
My rhubarb survived the winter, but it will be a while till it’s ready for a pie or crisp. Or…I could go to my kid days and yank the stalk out, rinse it off with the garden hose, dunk it in sugar and eat it raw! Crazy kids, how is it we are still alive??28 April, 2015 at 4:12 pm #830800

Too windy and chilly at the Jersey shore, so they are all on the patio at the TDK lounge. Tux and Big Maine Coon and the agency kitties are loving the extra kitties here today, and they giggle as our kitties wonder how the agency kitties keep the café running so efficiently.

Sal doesn’t like the restrictions of clothing (or collars for that matter, he’s on his 3rd as far as I can tell LOL) …. although he admires Comet’s shark shorts ….. they are legendary! LOL …. maybe Mac will join in the mischief!
…. Abby says the sun polish is for all to share the girls will have such fun going out in the sunshine to see what color it turns … some turns pink to blue …. some turns green to yellow …. others red to purple …. it’s really pretty!
…. blue berries are big in our stores here, and so is the watermelon, it’s lovely this year! ….. well, back to inputting, looks like more rain storms on the way! …. carry on with the party, sounds like a blast!

My ‘puter modem was srsly dead. Very nice tech, and kitty lover to boot, as showed me pics of his huge purry as Tigre (Tiger) an orangie tuxie! Eventually Dorry came round to him and allowed himself to be scritched. So, was it Basement Cat et al as messed with my modem? Hmm …
Bottom line is that things are up and running thank goodness, guy reconfigured my TV so pic is better, showed me how I can get Wi-Fi on cell (all my services in bundle). Then called to see what kind of compensation I could get for my time/inconvenience. Was asked what I want. So duh I said a million dollars LOL. Going comp is $30 off next bill so works for me LOL.

I don’t remove unless absolutely necessary. My BC will nip upon relocation or just to hurry me along while I get their dinner ready….lol.
Speaking of nipping, something interesting happened last night. I had a typically bizarre dream. Emily was eating a bug and all of a sudden the bug flew up into the sky taking her with it. I was just starting to feel the sadness and despair as she disappeared from view when real life Emily nipped my leg and woke me up. Weird. She’s never done that while I’m sleeping. Had to let me know she’s okay, I guess. And she wanted me to roll over so she could curl up on my legs. :).

My sorta home-baked muffins actually came out good as tried them today. Tonight the faux meat-loaf as PG’s recipe gets it’s chance as was planned for yesterday, but hours were spend on phone trying to sort out issues and dinner ended up being nixed – not GR8 idea but whatever. JK, I think that you would like this recipe, my faux meat take on it features Italian flavoured veggie ground round. It’s posted back on Potluck Day as last Friday.
KZ, on one not-so-memorable occasion I was goaded into trying white horseradish – the real deal. Comet wants to go commando, now that he learned I embellished a bit on the word’s definition. I still think the shark swim shorts are legendary. We’ll see what he does, he is not a leader or a follower, he does what strikes him at the moment.
PG, love the pic of the kitty family in their swim suits. That is how I picture the weekend lounge sometimes, when cat families spend their day at the water’s edge beyond the patio. And the ‘blue’ cat pic is cool – I took a pic of my cat Taz many years ago, she was sitting on an orange chair. The flash washed out the orange and turned Taz into an electric blue kitty!

Sister has an 11 day old foster baby – looks like a mini-Mac! …. well *ahem* …. I ‘might’ have un-wrapped the tutu for a quick peak to see if it needed ironing ….. but I only had it on for a minute and I promise I didn’t do any major twirling ….. that’s my story and I’m sticking to it 😉
…. for those of you who have no idea what we’re talking about, for years now, I’ve had a sparkly tutu that I’ve featured in the café many times … we used to don all kinds of costumes here … unitards … spandex …. hazmat suits …. it’s a long story …. anyway, GD (Great Dane) is convinced that everytime I twirl around in my tutu, it rains … usually on her part of the world …. and it became a long standing joke … so now, of course every drop of rain is MY fault! LOL ….. oh we do have fun!

AV honey, you know it only takes a minute, and you get hollered at if you get caught, which apparently you did!Oh, and the foster kitten’s name is Jordan – this being the ‘J’ litter. There are six siblings, but sis requested the smallest or the sickest, Jordan is the smallest. We both took tons of pictures, but anyone who has ever tried to take a picture of a baby kitten knows that for every 50 shots, about 2 are useable.
