    Supposedly this Special Day is ideal for grade school children. Very artsy-craftsy and seasonal, ie kids cutting out mittens and decorating Xmas Tree. Nothing to do with that legendary kit trio who lost their mittens, but of kits are always involved pic-wise!

    Not trying to “steal your thunder” in any way MS, but there was a dearth of pics for this theme so I included this one!

    So many Mittens/knittin’ ideas! I don’t knit mittens, but I have done up a few prs of those neat fingerless gloves but without separations for fingers, ‘cept thumb. Way quick project.

    N suggests n super freezing days wearing gloves with fingers/fingerless gloves/mitts with removable button flaps – super warm and one can still retain one’s dexterity!

    Fingerless gloves used to be called smoking gloves (no longer PC) now referred to as texting gloves. *Sigh*

    Those 3 little kittens on clothesline. Squeeeee!

    The kits who swallowed knitting balls and had mittens! Love me a good pun but also. 😮

    Spin class then home for a bit then dentist. Of course tooth not bothering me, but he might as well check it out anyway. At least not stormy out and streets are clear, yet said to be much colder. Down filled coat level 2 methinks, which matches new burgundy boots. Should work.

    HAHA KJ, ever keeping your fashion sense in bad weather–you are a hoot! Okay, todays’ pics made me really LOL! The raccoon holding the kitten, and DUDE let me in, it’s mittens == made me scream! 😆

    PG, goodness girl on the finger cut. My daughters told me a long time ago that I shouldn’t probably have knives since I used to cut my fingers so much. I tried slowing down a bit and being more aware of what I was doing, it seems to help a bit. 😛 Also, I quit cutting towards myself……

    My cats are all rolling dice and taking dibs on my chair–hubbies isn’t here yet of course. I’m always shooing them away. Scared to death one of them is going to yak on it…now THAT would seriously pi$$ me off! 😳 KJ, he can sit in my chair if he wants, but only for a couple of minutes, he has his own anyway. I finally talked him into getting rid of the chair he sits in now as it’s way older than any piece of furniture needs to be. If these chairs last as long as that one did, they will be inherited by our grandchildren!

    Well, it’s cold and raining here today. Northeast winds always seem to make rain colder, and in a day or two, the highs here will only be 20*F!

    I have to shut the falls off in my fish pond and only leave the bubbler running. Too much water movement make fishies cold. Their metabolism must slow down, as when I see them now, they are almost motionless, and stacked up like ‘fish sticks’!

    Afternoon all! …. a gray, drizzley day here, but a good one for getting computer input done! ..

    Miss Caddy is loving the cat perch I put by our side door, she can sit up high, and yet it’s under the overhang, so she doesn’t get wet … also has a cubby hole in the bottom that she can go into if she wants more privacy, or is chilly …. I give her treats throughout the day on it, and she naps there most days … she is really comfortable with her new home now!

    Mr. AV made me LOL yesterday, he came home with a ‘star shiner’ from HD … he say a tv commercial on it – it’s a projector that shines colored stars or designs on your house at night, so it looks like you have moving lights all over it …. that man is too funny! He got tired of hanging up thousands of Xmas lights on the exterior, so he figured this would have the same affect, but 5 minutes to decorate LOL …. actually, he does it for the kids, cause they love the house to be decorated when they get home …. and like everything in our lives, it’s all about them 🙂 he has a soft/kind heart (even if he’s just a big adult toddler)

    A grey sorta cold day here!

    Got back from dentist. Point in time not a prob (more complete report in yest Café in reply to LDS’ concern/support.)

    And assistant as well as several patients knit and love kits so we had a good chat. Assistant and hubby are purrents to Mr. Hubert and Miss Cara. She’s very much into DIY and crafts and showed me pics of a catio that she is planning on making.

    I did take another fall this am. Nothing major and put snow on knee immediately – packed on it’s good sub for ice! I speak with my awesome physio and she’s wondering if I got dizzy (dehydration being a thing with me as I loathe drinking water, ‘cept when spinning); or not eating enough as whatever; or crack in sidewalk (common here.)

    Being KJ I was more concerned as my skirt got a bit dirty. But it’s now been washed/dried/back in closet. And was happy that tights did not rip, which is strange as knee was bleeding quite a bit, which I took care of when I got home. 🙂

    But enough about my stuff – lookee here! Free knitting pattern! Entitled Mini Kitty Pouf.

    Thing is that if I took on challenge would Dorry rip it to pieces just because? Hmmm …

    Now I think that I’ll rest a bit after a long day before considering my noms.

    Goodmorning all. Oops it’s afternoon already.
    KJ, I love those fingerless gloves with the mitten top that flips over and buttons down. Best of both worlds.
    Oh PG, Healing Energy for your poor pointy finger tip. LOL @ the toke and a soak, sounds goooood.
    KZ, great image of your kits rolling the dice & taking dibs on the news chairs. I bet the cats also picture your fish stacked up like fishsticks.
    Lagatta re yesterdays comment on hot baths and arthritis, I can understand that. Probably the hot pools I soak in give temporary relief but could aggravate the arthritis too.
    JJ, 🙁 about the job possibility. There is definitely something else on the cards for you but I get the feeling it’s in a totally different area to what you would think. Just a feeling.
    AV, you are making Caddy some great spaces and shelves, she must be so happy and feel like a cat with two tails. LOL, of course Mr AV does it for the kids, nodding

    Those star shiners are being advertised here for the first time. Great idea as long as you take it inside overnight or some lowlife will probably steal it.
    Oh no KJ, another fall. Well I suppose given the conditions a fall is on the cards. Please take care of yourself. I love your Mini Kitty Poufs.
    The day started out hot and then got hotter but now we have a cooling light wind and some cloud is coming over. Went shopping for presents this morning and got nothing. Why are the stores that stock what I need always further afield? 🙁 😕

    Hey efurryone,

    The knife cut happened because I put the knife in the dish water and then picked up the wrong way. Duh!

    I am so glad that your skirt and tights are in good shape, KJ. Screw the knee 🙄

    I put up my little tree on the porch and hung 2 wreathes. Miss Moppet is annoyed because she can see the tree but not reach it.

    It’s very cold. I think we got up to 18f/-7c and more to come this week. There is snow in the mountains but nothing here. I guess I’m going to have to move to Breckenridge where they have snow. 🙁

    I mailed out packages to Mom and my nephew.

    LilBit and Miss Gaea are rip snorting around. When Miss Gaea is stuck indoors she get pissy and picks on the others. LilBit giving it back though.

    PG, it’s colder in your n’hood than here in the alleged frozen north. 😮

    I am so glad that you are glad for me. My knee is stinging a bit but this should abate.

    But being just a tad all over achy, after what seemed like a long day I am taking self to bed. Til tomorrow!
