    OK, time for Polski poem/song/goes with today’s theme – mud/sorry spelling is off:

    My dad used to say this while growing up…polski slang he probably learned as a kid too!

    Gaah, back to part 1 day 2’s fun…it’s end of month so will peek in when I can. Waves/wishes for all to have a better than expected day…now a smooch for Tux, later kits…oh, I need my cuppa java too!c

    Hey all!
    Just got back in! Spin class followed by race to dermatologist for reg skin check. As she is MD and still feeling cruddy (plus not having any makeup on as she requests for exam did not help) I asked and thinking is that I could very well have cold – or – allergies, something going around, what can a grrl do?
    Then to pampurr myself in keeping with today’s theme (my excuse LOL) did some shopping. No street finds but bought me loads of different coloured tights (I wear skirts so def necessary). Plus this:

    Was scouting it out online for some time, and when I saw it in dept store, well let’s just say it “meowed” to me. Will for sure wear it at next TDK PJ party. Hope Dorry doesn’t get jealous! Check out today’s kit – he could be Dorry’s double. Interesting how today’s pics resemble so many of our kits!
    Egg facial on Eko, ECB, LOL. Reminds me of the time that I tried an egg shampoo. Note to all: do not, I repeat, do not use hot water as rinse, egg cooks and is very difficult to pick out. First “real” job was as copywriter in dept. store. Slathered some $150/oz. cream that I was doing ad for all over my hands. No better than bargain brand. Buyer told me that one could use mayo for same result. That store is basically selling “hope”. Interesting.
    Deb, your daughter’s spin class sounds like mine. Instructor is pro cyclist/coach and probably one of the most decent, professional peeps teaching here. Fights over bikes a usual process, I arrive early, but also have those who look out for me and save my bike, and vice-versa.

    Afternoon all, well, no squirrel today … handyguy came this morning, but noone had been in trap …. yet …. possibly not hungary enough (1day) to brave it ….. hoping for success soon…

    ED, you could be very right, I imagine the coconut oil could make a tub very slippery ….. I’ve never used it that way …. I smear the solidified stuff on me like a cream, and it really soaks in well …. wake up the next day, and skin has absorbed it all ….. doesn’t make a mess on sheets or anything, but I do sleep in long sleeve cotten shirt & pants….. hope it helps Deb’s dad, cause it’s done wonders for me, when I’ve been allergic to everything else!

    … well, back at it for me….. hope ya’ll have a productive afternoon!

    Well it’s Happy Hour in the café.
    Kits are serving ALL of your fave bevies/libations along with newbie:
    Mule cocktail

    The Mule Cocktail
    Ingredients
    •1 (12 oz) can ginger beer
    •3 ounces spiced rum
    •1 ounce cranberry juice
    •4 lime wedges
    •10 dashes bitters
    Instructions
    •In a shaker muddle bitters, cranberry juice and limes.
    •Add ice and rum to shaker, shake for 10-15 seconds.
    •Fill 2 medium size tumblers with ice and pour 6 ounces of ginger beer into each glass.
    •Strain out contents of shaker over ginger beer.
    •Garnish with a lime wedge.
    Cheers – with that finishing up at that place & heading out in a bit…back on the flip as…

    afternoon all! ….. ohhh, I’ll take a mule cocktail! .. looks yummy!

    …. well, still no squirrel this afternoon, maybe he’s scared to come out when it’s day, hopefully over night, we’ll find him….

    …. Abby has retired to the comfy chair upstairs in my bedroom, she can hear the ‘activity’ in the attic better from that vantage point, so I’m sure she’ll come alert me if something is amiss …

    …. Mr. AV is on his way back home, and it stormed here today, so I’m hoping he doesn’t get caught in it ….. I think I’ll make him his favorite spagetti for dinner tonight … I’ve got some fresh tomatoes and herbs I’d like to use up …. hope everyone has had a productive day 🙂

    Just finished quiz:
    “Wow! A True Citizen of The World!” (scored 24/25). To be fair lots of questions were in French which I speak, otherwise I could not in good faith call myself a propurr “quebecoise”. LOL
    Pretty productive AV, if you can call shopping and ordering more yarn for yet another sweater productive LOL.

    Ref to drink – never heard of verb “muddle”??? Guess that I have to catch up on my drink-mixing verbiage.

    Well at least I got here in time for cocktail hour, looks like I have some back posts to catch up on.
    Anywho, Leela totally enjoyed her day with her diva friends, and wrote notes to her diva friends she didn’t see today. Her claws are bright pink – had a feeling she would go with that. Between her and Comet, there is a distinct smell of grooming and massaging products. They even brought some lavender back for me. How sweet!

    Good morning all. I really did LOL at the pics today especially the kissing the toilet paper goodbye. Ordinary things we do must look odd to those not in the know. They are all hilarious.
    Kitty, well done on the mud pack play.
    LOL at eggy Eko, did the other cats want to groom his face for him? Emily, you sensitive cat, but I guess there is a right and wrong way of being petted.
    KZ, I have been growing out my hair after a bad cut but it is so thick that I will have to have it texturised again especially with Summer not far away otherwise I will melt. My hair is not the easiest to style as it is very strong hair and has it’s own way of doing things. like one side curling under and the other side up. Drives my hairdresser crazy.
    Poor Leela, all ready for Meowmy and me time and that furbutt Comet has got there first. Definitely head to the TDK Cafe Leela for some girl time. I’m sending HRH Shadz through the wormhole as she needs some girl time too, all those stalking through the undergrowth is pretty hard on the claws and they need prettying up.

    Thanks for the coconut oil tips everyone, looking at getting Mum to try it, her skin dries out so easily but it could be to do with being in her nineties. Like Deb’s Dad she won’t use moisturiser on a regular basis. Unfortunately the bath idea won’t work as baths are not easy to get out of so will get her to try AV’s method.
    KJ, vitamin C to help fight whatever may ail you. Can’t hurt.
    25/25 and a true citizen of the world on the quiz. Never left my own country but I have an inquisitive mind, that helps.
    Woohoo, cocktail time in TDL land and lunch time here have coincided, it’s going to be a good afternoon.

    Oh KJ, LOVE the new jammies! Gee, hope you start feeling better.
    Well, due to the discussion about coconut oil, I bought some online today. I regularly buy from drugstore.com and was overdue for replenishing my supplies, they had loads of different kinds so put it in my virtual shopping cart too! A product that softens skin, conditions hair, you can eat AND cook with? EXCELLENT! Can’t wait to get it, I’ll let you know how it goes!

    Game Day!!! – Baked Cheesy Bacon Potato Chips – You can’t eat just one

    Almost Everything you need is in the title (couldn’t work the words “salt and pepper” into it) – Slice your potatoes and boil them for about 5 minutes. Then lay them on a baking sheet, sprinkle with salt and pepper, top with the cheese and bacon – and bake for 12 minutes at 375.
