Just a note, Kitty spent most of the day ‘rearranging’ things on the bathroom counter to include flinging the little mud packets all over the floor, he was quite pleased with himself >^..^<

    Morning Deb *waves*
How in keeping with today’s theme is Kitty! Must be middle of night in AZ? Here it’s about 6 am and off to gym, then appt., eventually home. Spin class packed even this early so peeps “reserve” bikes for themselves and their cronies, self included! 😉 Have a good rest of night/day, catch you and all L8R!

Our local desert museum came in 9th out of the top 25 in the country ? Now have I been there yet, why no!

I couldn’t pull up the video for this (because I am here in this place) but how sad ?
Begging Elephants Halt Traffic in Sri Lanka
While travelling through Buttala in Sri Lanka, Ranga Priyadarshana and his companions encountered these wild elephants on the road. According to him, they sit on the roads every day asking for fruits

Green Spring Cleaning Recipe for the Grout
7 cups water, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/3 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup vinegar – throw in a spray bottle and spray your floor, let it sit for a minute or two… then scrub

A friend of mine tried this and wow it worked well for her floors 🙂

I tried using the coconut oil in the bath tonight, not bad it doesn’t leave your skin feeling all yucky with the oil it’s just a light touch.

Going to try and put some in the Crew’s food to see if helps with the shedding and coat condition.

Good morning, KJ and Deb! Funny captions today…I like the roots one. Eko’s spa treatment of choice is egg yolk facial. He is crazy for his Saturday morning raw egg yolk treat. I tried to add a little more to his bowl while he was eating but he wouldn’t move, so a bit got on his face. That’s not going anywhere anytime soon. The hair will probably have to shed.

Hee hee. Emily has the feminine mystique DOWN PAT. My son just said, “She’s so cute. But she’s a bit confusing. You never know what she’s going to do.” Ha. He was giving her her morning pets, which she demands, but will nip you if you do it wrong….lol.

Awww, ECB at your son trying to figure out *girls*…he never will you know, LOL! Or cats either for that matter…they are pretty much one and the same.

Love the pics today, I can relate to them all! But the second one looks like Willow! AND I get my roots done this Thursday….WooHoooo! And a shape up of this *hair*. Would you all remind me never to have my hair texturized again please? I think I will have her shape this into an inverted bob, like you Joan. The top is still growing out after being so short, but it shouldn’t take too long.
Joan, my wish for you is a calm, stress free day. If you can *go away to your happy place* in a room full of people it helps. I taught myself that several years ago, plus it brings a smile to my face to be able to look at someone and know that you are really in the TDK cat cafe with the kitties or here with us and no one is the wiser… 😉
KJ, have fun spinning and maybe picking up a street find on the way home!!
Didn’t sleep well last night, came downstairs to get on laptop and it said I didn’t have internet. Went upstairs to check my router and it was blinking. Okay well….everything’s working this morning. Why wasn’t I supposed to be on TDK last night? I was so disappointed.
Hi Deb, the coconut oil sounds heavenly in the bath. I will have to get some and try it. I am always looking for a light weight oil for skin softening.

    Morning KZ 🙂

Had to try the coconut oil if I want to try and convince my Dad to use it since he won’t use lotion on a regular basis 🙂

    …. Morning all!
Deb, the coconut oil is what has really saved me …. make sure you get organic, cold-compressed 100% coconut oil. I find it at Greenwise, or Wholefoods…. it comes in a big tub (like Cetaphil does) and it’s relatively cheap (I think under $10 for the huge vat) …. it says to warm it so it will liquify, but I just use it in the solidified state, like a semi cream/oil and it is sooooooooo soothing! ….. smells good too! …. I put it on at night, let it soak in, then put plain cotton pjs on ….. it really soaks in well, and when I wake up, my skin is much softer ….. I have learned (the hard way) that healing skin takes time, patience, and consistency ….. it doesn’t happen overnight, but with repeated use, it gets a little better every day ….. even when I’m totally clear, I will continue to use it 1-2 times a week, just to keep my skin soft ….. best of luck, it truly has been a miracle for me!

I’m thinking it can be used on animals for ‘hot spots’ I’m going to research this for Son and his girl Luna, who suffers with skin allergies!

… handyman is on his way this morning to ‘check’ the trap, we’ll see if we caught our stealth squirrel last night (I hope so!) ….. I didn’t hear any racket, but then I sleep like the dead, so no surprize …..

… well, gotta get my day started, have a great morning all, will check you guys later!

Good Morning – I wish I could take myself away from it all, not for a few days because its worse when I come back.
Leela wanted to come in the bathroom with me this morning, but I told her there was a boy in there. Alas, she apparently didn’t hear me and came in, all ready for some girl time and quickly turned around and ran. I’ll send her to the cafe today for some diva treatment. Comet wants to see what mud packs are all about, but thinks it would be fun to play in the mud first. Deb’s Kitty seems to be in need of TDK land today too.
Wild whisker kitty is adorable! (aka: Willow!) Had a giggle about Eko’s egg facial. Emily should come to the cafe too, where they can do the diva thing and totally understand each other. Enjoy spinning today, KJ. Hey Deb, thanks for the links. Will check them out later this afternoon/evening.
Well, have a good day all. Going to try here.

…. good luck today Joan, our TDK prayers go with you 🙂

… Abby is coming for a facial today, she always like to get her ‘black mask’ sleek and shinney, makes her baby blues stand out ….

… still waiting for handyman and squirrel check, all paws crossed for success ….

AV, thanks for the info on the coconut oil, I bought a jar of the organic unrefined type. Know quite a few people who are using the coconut oil in their pets’ food (some have theirs actually eating it off a spoon, yeah I wouldn’t be that lucky) to help with hotspots, skin allergies and coat condition plus it has helped quite a few with less shedding than normal.

Facials and massages are always good whether its for 2 or 4 legged types 🙂

Kitty is just a brat, a smart one at that if he feels that everyone in the house needs, yes needs treats he will knock things off of counters, grab treat bags and attempt to open them himself or any other idea that crosses his little bratty mind.

Oh I forgot, I would go to Whole Foods but the smell of the store makes me ill most days, there and Sprouts too….I have to hold my breath and walk thru really fast.

Lol…the health food stores do have a unique smell don’t they, Deb? I kind of like it because I associate it with the fun I have shopping for food there. We are glad to be living in a part of town with access to a few healthy grocery stores. Whole foods is the most expensive…almost never go there. Some things I order online for the best deal. But if you are a Costco member, can’t beat their price on coconut oil…HUGE tub of organic cold pressed for $16. I cook with it a lot and have tried it on skin. It is antibacterial and anti fungal too. Makes it a good foot lotion (dry heels are often cause by fungus) if you are wearing socks or putting it on before bed…too slippery for a sandal day.

ECB, I just joined Costco so will look there. I can go into Trader Joe’s and not get an iffy smell, but Whole Foods think the only one that hasn’t made me sick walking in was the one near my daughter’s house in Chicago. If it’s a huge tub that would be great for my Dad, all he would need would be a teaspoon for his bath water 🙂 He doesn’t cook that much anymore so no need for it there.
