Why not let our kit(s) answer the phone and handle all the tech stuff in our place? Could be interesting!

“So they can track your cellphone…”

We made it through Monday. I’ve been looking for an interesting free online course but the ones I thought were interesting either weren’t or the instructors were so monotonous, I couldn’t pay attention. Why am I telling you this?? I found the class – Introduction to the Talmud. It starts on Monday and I’ll keep you informed.

    Have a happy~
    PG

    Here’s your COA

PG, interesting course. I’ve been doing a Mindful Eating course, very interesting too.
Having said that, AV, the orange chicken sauce was superb on the wee drumsticks. Definitely finger food and deliciously sticky. We haz a happy tummy.
Saw an interesting news article about our heatwave.
‘Welcome to the summer of 2018, where it’s so hot that shellfish are cooking in the sand. Our beaches are turning to seafood chowder. Bivalves such as pipi, cockles and young tuatua lived between high and low tides on beaches, and could be dying from heat stress.
“Bivalves are influenced by the temperature around them, so they can’t control their own internal body temperature … as the water warms up, their rate of breathing and feeding increase to a point when they can’t take it any more, and they get stressed out.”
They would be particularly affected when there was a low tide in the middle of the afternoon, exposing them to increased heat. “If we get chronic heat conditions day after day, they might get stressed out.” 🙁

PG sounds like a very interesting course, I have studied a bit of Talmud in my time, although for the most part it’s not commonly a woman’s purrsuit.

    That COA – squeee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow MS, those poor sea creatures….and hoomans and felines too. I get stressed out when it’s really hot too, but hopefully not to the point of dying. Luckily, I don’t have to work outside in it and know my limits with heat. I remember when I took my fire practicals in full turn out gear in the late spring–it was so hot and I lost 12 pounds in one day! I know that sounds unbelievable, but it was mostly water. There were a few times when I thought I would not survive, but my instructor told me to ‘suck it up’ drink some gatorade, and I would be fine. He was right.

Well, I gotta go, Mr. KZ has arrived for lunch, and nothing is fixed and Avery is calling me too….hopefully, I’ll be back later!

Happy Tuesday all! …. we love our orange chicken!

Mr. AV has a terrible cold, I’m just hoping Son and I don’t get it …. I’m spraying him down with Lysol every time he comes near …..

Cooler tonight, then warming up fast near the end of the week …. more roller coaster weather!

Love the pics today, hope everyone has a great evening!

That’s incredible, MS. Not only is it sad but it will take a toll on the fishermen. I need to practice mindful eating. They recommend eating away from the TV or computer, but I do it most days. 😳

KJ, The main reason I signed up for the class is its not something I would expect in a MOOC. Also, I’m not Jewish, so it’s all new to me.

    Memories, KZ, memories.

Don’t get sick Son. Then AV will have two man colds:

    😆

Hi everyone, I’m not playing with my mouse, that’s so cute!

Extreme temps can do so much damage, can’t they? Sad and scary.

We got a dusting of snow overnight, and now the winds are howling here in Jersey. Dewey is inside, of course, as is Berta, who looks absolutely precious curled up in the rabbit-fur lined basket. I call her Goldilocks these days. She favors the basket, but has checked out several other napping spots around the house.

Wonderful pics! That wee tabby kit – that’s what Sampson was like when I first met him. We called him Titch because he was the smallest of the 5 orphan kittens I took in. He came back to us as a very large cat at age 5 years with the name Sampson.

PG, I’m looking into Coursera based on how interesting you have found it. There’s a course entitled “Fashion as Design” that sounds enticing to a fashionista like moi! 😉

Speaking of fashion, after I finish current sweater my plan is to knit this hat.

It’s designed by one of the owners of the shoppe where Knitting Circle takes place. I plan to re-design it using the many odds and ends of leftover yarn in my stash, in shades to go with all my winter coats. And $$Store has some neat faux fur pompoms. Plus pattern will give me a chance to try using double point needles which will be a challenge for me.

I also prefer a big cuff headband, warmer too. And the manager helped me to reconfigure the length so that it should work. Should knit up in almost no-time!

Good afternoon all, it’s a cooler day here thankfully. Slightly overcast but tomorrow we have rain forecast in my area and heavy rain and high tides will threaten other areas with flooding. I had a dental appointment this morning and had to eat my lunch carefully so I didn’t chew on y numb tongue and cheek. 😯
KZ, I’ve been sending Mr MS off to work with small chilled watermelons each day to help ease the heat. He is loving them. Much nicer than water that is warm. Wow that is a lot of sweating.
Waving to JK, Moi days are a must every now and then.
AV, oh my the orange chicken sauce was superb. I thought I had ruined it by leaving it on the element too long but it was just lip smacking and sticky fingered perfection. Oh no ! ! Man cold and the possibility of two man colds. Positive Vibes that doesn’t happen AV. Washing of hands very frequently by all will help prevent any possible spread.
PG, eating away from distractions came up yesterday but several of us said distractions work for us making us eat more slowly, it will be a subject we will be revisiting. ROTFL about the labour pains/man cold comparison.
JJ, sounds like Berta has the most wonderful basket for an older lady to sleep in. Awwwww, Goldilocks. You are getting quite a houseful.
PM, my brother had a tabby called Titch until recently.
KJ, are you going to have a large pom-pom on your hat too.

MS, a pompom is part of the plan. Seems that efurryone is sporting one these days. As mentioned I saw some nice inexpensive ones at $$Store and at the store that I newly discovered in past 2 wks. Purrhaps I will not get as large a pompom as this one though. And mine will be faux fur.
