Happy Fat Tuesday! The things I did for these beads, awful, awful things. *Sigh*
Ooh, a snare drum player, cool! Enjoy your nephew’s purrformance, PG.
Loving all the bling and color in the photos!
Yay, it’s Paczki Day – I was hoping JK would stop by with some! Scritches to your Li’l Punchek too, from Auntie Joan.
Got some meds into Star today. I’ve been putting topical stuff on the wound but she licks it right off, hoping at least some is being absorbed.
It’s a sunny and chilly day here in Jersey. Storms expected tomorrow and they’re calling for snow on Friday. Looks like March will indeed come in like a lion!

Happy Fat Tuesday all! It’s rainy here today too, but not cold.

I’ll take a packzi please, wow, those look good! Coffee too, yummm!

JJ, I’m glad Star is letting you at least tend to her wound, you can keep checking it that way.

Hope to stop in later, need to get laundry started!

Mardi Gras-Nebraska style has me ROTFLOL! I learned the meaning of the beads. Now I know something new: Purple stands for justice, green is for faith and gold for power.

MS – tks for new stressometer – ideally I will not have to use it so often!

For me Tuesday is done with as I got through.

March in my n’hood is also coming in like a lion – we’re expecting a deluge. Might be for rare occasion wearing my super-protective LLBean raincoat and srs rainboots. And srs umbrella!

Happy Fat Tues. all! …. they throw similar beads at Gasparilla …. we have trunks full from so many years past! …. Son throw NOTHING away!

Looks like Scoot has a lemon donut! …. reminds me of KK and MC …. I miss those guys It’s unseasonably warm here …. 80 degrees (and still Feb.) ….

Made one of my favorite dinners last night (and have plenty left over so I don’t have to cook tonight) …. braised turkey legs in the dutch oven, rice to put the gravy over, fresh squash, creamed corn and pole beans from the farmer’s market … it was so good – a great comfort meal! Have a great evening all! L8R

If you need your srs rain gear, at least you’ll know you didn’t waste money on it.

No chicken, AV? Wow, that was a treat. Of course, Son doesn’t throw anything out. He’s got a giant closet called Mom and Dad’s place. 😉

Paczki are also related to Mardi Gras as it refers to using up fat before Lent. Those are obviously fried sweets. Those have many different names in the Central and Eastern European countries where they are a treat.

KJ, I’m glad I was able to get a long bicycle ride in today as while mild temps are predicted for tomorrow, so is a lot of rain. I’ll just do invoicing (and any new work I get) and washing. My most waterproof raincoat is a long jacket given to volunteers at the two-day annual bicycle race in Québec City and Montréal. I volunteered one year, though I’m very sad that the thrilling WOMEN’s event is no longer held here.

I’m suddenly seriously sad, in a funk, and think the extreme low pressure is a contributing factor. The obvious solution, other than a bit of wine (but not too much!) and some CHEESE, is turning in early with Livia. Glad that X Company is not tonight – the last episode gave me nightmares for days.

PG, when it comes to clothes I never regret any purr-chases! Although once I’m tired or bored with something, well a charity benefits.

Lagatta, I’m headed off to bed as well, having not slept well for the past couple of nights. Plus with fave spin instructor on vaca, next 2 wks will, instead of going to gym at 6 pm. find me at 8 am class with instructor who also gives a terrific, albeit different style class, Meaning that I must arise with the roosters LOL.Could go DIY route as per today, but when I do my own class I tend to overdo it.

Then, dependent on weather might head down to La Grande Bibliothèque, where they have a whole slew of titles by my new face author, or pick up my new ‘puter recharger which arrived today.

Woohoo Paczki time. Thanks JK, I knew we could rely on you to leave some delicious paczki by the wormhole.
Had a busy day taking Mum here and there and hither and yon. Now that her ankle is pretty much healed she is itching to get out and about. She even ditched her crutches today and was walking about very well.
